  1. The fact that most of them don't catch on fire is pretty impressive. They're constantly sticking their faces in forges and leaning over quench tanks with fireballs coming out of them. When I find seasons of this show streaming, I always check to see if there are any episodes where David or Ben compete. They manage to crank out stuff with fit and finish that wows me. Maybe I'm just used to what "part-time bladesmiths" are capable of doing.
  2. I am not offended at all, but I do sincerely appreciate the respect you're extending here to me! I figured that it would be best for me to keep the topic title as straightforward as possible.
  3. I started a new Josh and Anna topic. I think somebody can start new topics for the other ones, where we take a step back and think about how going forward we can be mindful of being respectful, kind and inclusive. I suggest putting in the same link I included in the Josh and Anna topic, so that everybody can get up to speed.
  4. A place to discuss Josh and Anna. This is a challenging discussion for us, as Josh, 35, was found guilty of receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material in December 2021. Throughout his trial, Anna was seen supporting her husband in court. She was present for his official sentencing in May 2022, where he was ordered to serve 151 months in prison. It is understandable to be appalled by Josh's crimes, but let's try to be respectful of each other's opinions. Guidelines for respectful, diverse, and inclusive conversations.
  5. We can run through the same speculation I've heard others do and look at the Eagles road opponents in 2024 and take a stab at who the opponent will be: In addition to their division games, they have games against the Falcons, Panthers, Browns, Packers, Jaguars and Steelers. I'm guessing Packers, Falcons, Commanders, or Browns in that order. Got Packers as #1 because it's a good matchup, and it's their stray home conference game. Plus, the Eagles will play the Packers again in 2025, although it'll be in Green Bay.
  6. 0-0 is the holy grail of Super Bowl box numbers! I'm glad you won some money with it when you got it! I've actually won money in two different Super Bowls with 9-0 as my numbers. The 9 isn't so hot, but the 0 is always in play. I usually hit some kind of money about every 3-5 games with the 3-5 boxes I play every year. I think I'm due for a win.
  7. The Chiefs and 49ers are, statistically, very close defensively this year. Both excellent. But I agree 100% with the idea that Spagnolo (and Reid's influence) have shown a real knack for individual game planning that is a legitimate advantage. It sure looks like a really close matchup, which means that one special teams blunder or great play, one ball bouncing off a facemask to either a WR or DB, or one unbelievable great play by a great player would swing the game one way or the other. The important thing is that we're looking for quarters to end with SF 9 - KC 2 or SF 1 - KC 7.
  8. OMG. I just laughed out loud reading that one dead smack in the middle of the list.
  9. Fun fact: The NY Giants (5th from last) have won as many playoff games in that period as the Baltimore Ravens (5th from first).
  10. "Sounds and Smells of Federation Foes" is an elective at Starfleet Academy.
  11. I've been watching the Netflix Iron Chef series as background noise in my house recently, and Kristen is rock solid. It might take me (and everybody else) a while to get used to somebody who isn't Padma, but I also don't think it'll take long for Kristen to settle into this job.
  12. I saw this headline and all I could think was "That doesn't sound like a man who had all he could eat."
  13. It was just a throwaway gag in the episode, but it got a whole article in the NY Post, following up on an original whole article about it, because reportedly Harry and especially Meghan are upset about the "Here is your millions from Netflix for God knows what" joke. I put reportedly in italics because The Post plays fast and loose with facts with this kind of stuff. Not sure what prompted Seth to fire this shot at them. It was pretty random, even for this show.
  14. I wonder if there are any young people out in the world doing the level of improv that could hold a torch to what this team has managed to create. I'm sure there are people doing it all over the place, but how do we find the geniuses and get them on TV?
