  1. Yeah, we sure have to look out for that lovable serial killer!
  2. Please dont spend much time on newbies. I dont want to have to break any of my stuff.
  3. Well, lets see how this goes...
  4. And, most importantly, will the audience be able to find one solitary fuck to give? Tune in to find out!
  5. You know, if the writers were trying to deliberately make us all hate the newbies, I would give them a big round of applause, because I have rarely seen a whole fandom (especially this one!) so unanimous in their hatred of characters. I think I may hate these three yahoos more than I have hated actual villains before. Yeah they might not be as evil, but the annoyance, the hypocrisy, and if what the spoilers say happens tonight, the sheer spite, makes me want to break something.
  6. It would have made sense to me (and, like an idiot, I thought thats what they were going to do at first) if Storybrooke ended up as a sort of gateway between worlds, that would allow people from different worlds to all come and go, and meet up with people and stuff. That way the people who wanted to go back to the EF could go back, and people who wanted to start in Storeybrooke could stay. Then there would not only be more story opportunities and ways to play with different genres and franchises, but it means that the characters could have more agency in their happy endings, and they didn't just get stuck doing the same crap they did when they were cursed. Now, all those happy endings that we were promised just seemed tacked on without thought. Why would Charming want to be a farmer? Why would Snow want to be a teacher? They never seemed too attached to those jobs before, so why was that their happy ending? The plot holes on this show are so massive, but could have been so easy to write around, its actually amazing. Never before have I seen writing that is so crap, that it actually feels like the writers are trolling us at times, teasing us with cool ideas or interesting characters, and than yanking it away and giving us another Regina crying scene or some shit. And instead of coming up with super easy hand waves for their massive plot holes or contrivances, instead we get literal hand waves where magic jazz hands can do anything without any rhyme or reason, when providing actual explanations could have actually been easier than just ignoring stuff.
  7. Ah, they're all probably reminiscing about how grateful Robin is to the woman who murdered his wife, and the other woman who murdered his wife and then raped him. Good times.
  8. Awwww that ending was so sweet. It was awesome seeing the real life JTP playing with the TV JTP, especially with the big Eagles win. Not really a big Eagles fan (nothing really against them, just not my team) but I am really happy that their fans got a win. Its really cool how many people they get for this show, both of the "real" people, and famous people who are connected to the story, like all the Eagles people in minor roles. "Its very odd!" I cracked up at the increasingly silly rap songs, and the video that Adam made. Oh 80s... I love that the Hail Barry is Barry throwing the ball, and somehow him catching it. Thats just so Barry.
  9. "Your a good father." "Earn this." Dylan finds a boyfriend! I hope she and her new wresting boyfriend stay together, they were super adorable. When Ray and Taylor get back together, they can go on super weird double dates! I also loved the coach, and his narration of the love match. Speaking of, I hope Taylor and Ray get back together. This seems like something they can work past pretty easily. Jimmy has mad game, who knew? "You used dog tricks on me!" I really love Maya and Jimmy together, they're hilarious, but also really work as a couple, in a way a lot of sitcom parents dont really work. They fight and snark at each other, but you can tell they love each other, and they seem to really enjoy each others company. I also loved how the convenience store guy got super into JJs inaugural gas station run. JJs story was good this week too, and I loved his conversation with Kenneth at the tattoo place. JJ is a good kid, and I get why he gets upset about what he cant do, but he can also be rather petulant and take it out on his parents, which seems realistic. The whole plot seemed very real to me.
  10. "What kind of freak show goes on here when I`m not around?!?!" Well, considering this shows weird thing about incest, I can think of a few messed up, Lannister style shenanigans! Seriously, it was creepy enough when Lily had a crush on Manny, and Manny had a crush on Haley, now Joe has a crush on Claire? At least Manny, Lily, and Haley arent biologically related, this is just...creepy. Really, Joe having what he thinks is a crush on Claire would make sense, in that little kids develop attachments to any cool adult of their preferred gender, but the had him taking it super far, acting like a tiny Manny at his worst. I know we make jokes about how much time this family spends together, but its gotten to the point where its starting to get a little inbred-ish. What is up with this? Its really obvious that the writers have run out of stories for the kids, they just keep hitting the same notes without much lasting development. Everytime they show signs of growing up or doing something different, they just fall back on the same traits. Luke is dumb, Manny is 50 and obsessed with his mom, and Alex will always be smart but with no chance at a social life, which Haley has no future, but is catnip for any dude in the tri state area.
  11. Throw away the pills Zoe! Good for you! Zoe can be pretty self centered, but she was a good friend this week, and I totally felt her frustration with every conversation she had with Vivek. Speaking of, Vivek is mostly comic relief on this show, but the dude has some serious issues with self worth. Hopefully at least he stops with the coke dealing. This is NOT going to end well. "As the great Whitney said, crack is wack!" "Is over the counter the name of the brand?" I think I actually like this show more than Black-ish at this point. Probably because I actually like the main character, while Dre has become a ridiculously self obsessed man baby who treats his family like they only exist to make him feel better.
  12. Damn, that guy at the party totally had Andrews number right away, didn't he? "Your too lazy to work, and too proud to be kept." He wants all the perks of being rich and fabulous, but hates the idea of actually working for it, as he thinks he should just have everything given to him because of his innate special-ness. He even said something to Norman about how getting an education is "boring" or something like that. Yeah, for just a second there at his moms house, I almost felt bad for Andrew. Not a LOT, mind you, but for a second. His mom doesn't seem like a monster or anything, but she clearly has resentment towards the upper class, and probably put a lot of pressure on Andrew to be successful so she could feel better about herself, and if she had just paid attention when he said he was unhappy, maybe things wouldn't have escalated the way they did. Not that I think its an excuse (I think Andrew was probably born with serious sociopathic tendencies, and is just generally a monster) but it does offer some context. As for his seeming obsession with his supposedly broken hart, I dont think Andrew has the capacity to really love someone. He wants to be loved adored by everyone, and feels like he is just the best and most wonderful person ever (hence his drug high where he pictured Versace as his tailor as he rambles about how generous he is) who keeps getting screwed over by the world, even though, in actually, he has plenty of advantages and people who would have helped him, and that if people love him, he can be loved by even MORE people, and continue living his fabulous lifestyle. Its all about himself, not the actual people he says that he loves or cares about.
  13. That wasn't exactly what I expected, but I really liked it. I thought they would be 6 vignettes, but really it was more like 6 interlocking stories, with a lot of it being the same scenes, but told in different points of view. I like when the show plays around with structure, and this was one of their more unique episodes. I think my favorite part was Harriet's segment, and how everything was quiet to show how she sees/hears the world around her. Plus, holy crap, shes the daughter of the librarian! I loved the constant flashes in time, with Harriet growing and her mom staying the same, and all the sign language interludes. Following that was Fen and Julia hanging out, and finding out that fairies are being enslaved and harvested for drug use. That is just...super creepy and dark, even by this shows standards. Of course Fen will still show compassion to faeries when she realizes how bad their situation is, even if Fillory fairies have totally screwed her over several times. Because Fen is awesome. Love the running commentary by Penny as he reads all the stuff going on in the rest of the episode. Especially his reactions to Q having multiple sex scenes, and the wombat apparently leading the peasant uprising. My one complaint? Not enough Elliot and Margot. What the hell is happening there? Heres to a season 4 renewal! Looks like magic might be coming back!
  14. I think salty, petty Mulder is one of my favorite Mulders. He just did not want to give that tip! Its 10% Mulder, is it really worth your life? Also the "how come your house is nicer than mine?" cracked me up. Well Mulder, you spend your spare time crying to old Carl Sagen VHS tapes, and hunting Bigfoot while wearing shrub costumes. Maybe she puts in a bit more of an effort into home decor? Next week looks super creepy, I cant wait!
  15. Never forget to tip your wait staff. Even if the wait staff is a sentient sushi bar. It felt like we were watching I am Legends a few times, the whole world outside of Mulder and Scully seemed to be missing until the end. Also, Mulder and Scully hand holding! And all was well! I know that the mythology and the MoTW stuff has always been a part of the show, but it always cracks me up how the X- Files verse has so much weird stuff in it, totally unconnected to each other. Like, who cares about the stupid alien conspiracy, there are sentient AIs and magic and vampires and sea monsters and angels and monsters and ghosts and super powers and 500 other government conspiracy that have nothing to do with aliens running around right here at home! Now that the show is continuing, maybe we can get my dream X-Files ending, where the aliens finally get here...and they get their asses kicked by all the other weird crap already here for trying to get in on their territorial. Like, the aliens show up, only for their computer to suddenly be taken over, and a smiley emoji shows up and asks for a tip...
  16. Hehehe, truly you are Caitlin, and I am Cisco. "This is so cool...but also so awful"! No, Khalil, dont fall for his bullshit! I mean, could Whales have "I am bad guy" tattooed on his head any more obviously? I feel bad that he had his life fall apart, but damn, thats no reason to go super villain on everyone. I really liked him too. So, Gambi and Lady Eve have a connection? Interesting, very interesting. They have a weirdly intense chemistry. Were they a thing at some point? Also, it looked like that might have been Whales doctor on the table, but I hope not. Poor guy. Thank god the secrets are all out! Now I want father/daughters superhero adventures right now! I figured that we would have to wait awhile longer. Wow, that confederate monument was really ripped from the headlines, huh? I mean, they could have just used actual reports from the Charlottsville tragedy, it was that close to what happened. The woman who was killed even looked a bit like the poor woman who died in real life. I should have known what was in store for her when the camera focused on this seemingly random girl next to Annnisa. Pretty on the nose there, show. Except, you know, a superhero didn't show up and blow any statues up. I did like seeing Anissas reaction to everything, and I love her superhero journey.
  17. It doesn't help that every freaking scene between adult Henry and "Ronnie" seem weirdly flirty. Its super creepy.
  18. Table for three please. Barry not only has worked with cops for years gathering evidence to put criminals behind bars, and has always shown them nothing but respect, but he is the adopted son of a respected detective, and married his daughter, and its clear that he wasn't in any way guilty of the murder. Barry deserved better from those guys. At least Singh was still sympathetic towards him. He even called him Barry for once, instead of Allen. Honestly, I was just super glad that the blurb I read about the episode, that Ralph was going to freak out, again, about being a hero and need yet another pep talk, was wrong, and Ralph didn't backslide again when danger came a calling. Hell, he got to give the pep talk this week! You know, I am kind of in two minds about Ralph. On the one hand, I think he gets too much screen time, while other characters, like Wally, Iris, and Caitlin, have been kinda screwed over when it comes to development. It almost feels like its a backdoor pilot for another show that has gone a SUPER long time. But, on the other hand, unlike when, say, Arrow tries to push the newbies, to the detriment of established characters, I actually do like Ralph, and I think they've done a good job developing his character, and I find him to be genuinely likable these days. I think he adds an interesting dynamic to the group, and I think the actor has consistently done a great job. So, maybe it kind of splits down the middle for me.
  19. Halfway through the season, and I’m really enjoying it. Love Haileys musical muses, and Rodrigo seeing Liberace (of all people!) as his new muse. This show always gets me to play my classical music Pandora station more, which is always a good descion!
  20. So, this seems like it could be an interesting season. With zombies out in the open, Liv and company have whole new problems to deal with, as well as their usual, crime solving stuff. I think this could be a good thing for the show, and seeing how New Seattle works as a zombie sanctuary could be really interesting, but, despite what the Fillmore Graves people think, I dont see this going well long term. Especially with people like the poor zombie teens who were turned because of this whole Zombie Power thing that the powerful Fillmore Graves guys started, and now they arent given enough food or resources. Can humans not leave Seattle? I thought last season that they could, or was everyone quarantined? Was guy from San Francisco just visiting, and got stuck there? In that case, that guy actually has a WAY better reason to be bitter than the victim guy. Hopefully the CDC is all over this, plus probably every other medical researcher on the planet, and not just Ravi. Ravi is a great scientist and all, but its a ton of work for one guy, especially when he is using himself as a test subject.
  21. Can I just say, I find Vegas style batchelorette/bachelor parties to be pretty...lame? Cliche? Gouche? I would think that Madison would have come up with something more trendy for her matching parties, or something more interesting? Maybe its different in other parts of the country (or with people who can drop tons of cash on flying out to Vegas) but, I am right in the middle of the time where tons of my friends are getting married, so I've been to a lot of batchelorette parties, and followed a lot of batchelorette planning sites online, and most of them are all about "unique" events to do with your friends, and talking about them being Instagram worthy. Among the batcheloette parties I've been to in the last few years, they include: Pontoon boating/water skiing on a lake, sip and paint/bounce house, rock climbing, dance classes/alcohol making, escape rooms, DIY party, and almost all of those were in rented Air BnB houses, not fancy hotels. Is that weird? Because I find those to be a lot more fun than strippers and cheesy Vegas stuff. Like, of all the sites I saw, they pretty much all said to avoid Vegas.
  22. I mostly really liked that episode, except for the Emma/Poppy/Jesus/Mariana drama. Emma being petty and jealous is a bad look, especially when Poppy doesn't even seem to be into Jesus that way. Plus, as Jesus said, her parents might be deported any day now. Cant she just have this one thing in her life that doesn't suck? But Mariana going after the scholarship was crappy too. I dont mind them having a rivalry over their college plans, but adding it to Emma being jealous about Poppy is super lame. It makes me want to just see Jesus and Poppy hanging out while the other two snip at each other. YES, tell her Lena! That was awesome! Lena is normally the Good Cop mom, but when she gets pushed, I wouldn't screw with her. Tess is just a mess, and she keeps trying to drag their family into her lies and drama, and blame them for her own life choices, and she needed to be told to step off. If she wants to explore her sexuality, thats fine, but she is handling the whole thing awfully, acting selfish and immature. And, as Lena said, the Adams-Foster clan has enough of their own drama without her adding more! Wow, Jude actually gets a good story! I really understood his feelings that Donald had ditched him and Callie to start over with a new family, or that he wasn't good enough to be a son, and his fear that Callie would leave him. They sometimes seem to forget how much crap Callie and Jude went through together, it was nice to be reminded that he did more on this show than play video games and complain about stuff. I also thought it was sweet that Jude told Donald that he should be a father to Caleb, and when Callie told Donald he should be happy. The Grace and Brandon plot was weird (Ghost Busters, Fosters addition!), but also pretty adorable. Their attempts at ghost interaction "Bad Ghost!" "The ghost might be traumatized." "Awww what happened?" "Death" were adorable, and they really do work really well as a couple. Not looking forward to her inevitable demise. Of course Brandon finally finds a girlfriend who doesn't suck, and she has cancer. I love how long Callie's name is now. Callie Quinn Adams Foster is a bit of a mouthful.
  23. Eddie has come such a long way, its so great to see. He really has gotten it together, being a better, more responsible kid, while still being Eddie. Evan...needs more meetings with his counselor. I did actually like seeing Evan acknowledged that Eddie isn't a screw up, and that he needs to chill out. And I loved seeing Tig again, and how much she and Eddie get along. Pemberton-Smyth (is that right?) is an awesome name, no wonder Jessica decided to add it. "I got it from Marvin who got it from the laundry mat". Also, "Courage".
  24. Honestly, why does Barry even have a secret identity at this point? He tells pretty much everyone he meets anyway!
  25. I spent way too long glaring at that murder machine.
