  1. Yup, this my friends is behavior that you don't put up with from a partner. It's abusive. He is saying that she's his person but he told the other girls that he loved them and had sex with them. He's the type of guy who blames the girl for making him cheat.
  2. Wow, his behavior is showing that she made the right decision. His gaslighting and blaming it on her? I don't think it's even about the sex for her, it's about him telling everyone he loves them.
  3. Did anything actually happen? I watched the first ten minutes and it looked like that was enough. Should I bother?
  4. Those outfits make all the men look super hot. The dancing elimination was great. Loved the fashion, it was fun.
  5. How does SNL do so much better at understated tributes than literally anyone else. That was beautiful, they didn't make it about themselves or preach. Just used the power of music to say something.
  6. That would have been a good story. Have the adoptive daughter use it for tiktok clout which causes the NYPD to have to investigate because of the amount of media attention it attracted. Then at the same time have the bio mom harmed by the entire thing because she didn't want to reopen the trauma. End with a dead end and bio mom spiraling into alcoholism.
  7. All I could think during this entire case was there is no way that any cop wouldn't just send her back out of the door with her story. The teenager was annoying, very GenZ social justice warrior for other people without even thinking about how it effects them.
  8. I don't know why actors/writers depict being high so badly. There's enough drugs in hollywood that they should know. I also have never been high, but I've seen people who are high and they don't act like that.
  9. The musical was hilarious. They threw the boulders and then the bloody leg and such. . .
  10. Everyone being amazed when the broom stood on it's own made me laugh.
  11. What kind of weirdly sheltered is Kyle that he doesn't understand how religion could be a deal breaker. He's lucky though Shaina is a crazy piece of work. Actively trying to break up Shane's relationship is horrible. Danielle and Nick are doomed. She's not ready to compromise on the little things.
  12. Carlton was better in today's episode. I don't need him to love and adore Will and being resentful makes more sense but he was acting like a cartoon villain in the first couple episodes.
  13. It's also only four weeks. She wants to make sure it's real.
  14. She really pressured someone who is a vegetarian into eating meat, and he sure didn't need much convincing. . . . . I think it was him being a vegetarian that really sealed it for her. Once she saw that plate of vegetables she was out.
  15. She'll try to convert him through their engagement but he feels comfortable saying that he's an athiest so he's not going to change a thing and I can't imagine that he'd actually be ok with his kids being raised in an evangelical church or having those values in his life. It all depends on how malleable she is though if she ends up being able to leave her super religious life behind. I think these two will make it. Because this is essentially the relationship they grew up expecting and they'll have that shared culture and values of not expecting a marriage to be a fairytale that comes from having a grandparent that was probably in an arranged marriage.
  16. It's because even though she screwed a lot of them most of them ended up getting something from her. The lawyer wasn't going to miss out on the most important case of his career and Vivian besides being obsessed with figuring out the puzzle of Anna got journalistic fame. Most con artists that get that entrenched into society do so while sleeping their way into those places, so it was interesting to see that except for the first relationship (where they were both working their cons together) that she didn't use sex at all to get what she wanted.
  17. Marian needs to find herself some suffragette meetings to go to. Or just some other women her age. Why is she having to spend time with the married wives. I think Oscars bed buddy is his valet so he has an excuse to be at his house all the time., I thought it was implied that Mrs Chamberlain had a baby out of wedlock and they tried to imply that it wasn't her baby and the kid was adopted. That the kid was a year older than he was supposed to be. The maid wants to be a rich mans mistress. She wants him to buy her a house and fancy clothes. Better than being a maid.
  18. He's small rural rich, not boarding school urban rich. So while they had money I'm sure he went to a subpar public school and didn't have wealthy friends. I'll look it up but I'm guessing he went to a state college and was a frat boy. I'm guessing they spent their money on sides of beef and craft beer instead of wine and cheese. He's got some knowledge of rich people things because his family would of had and been invited to some fancy events but for the most part I'm guessing he's just a kid who grew up on a farm.
  19. The creepiest thing is when the people turn and they break all their bones. The sound and movements when they do that. So scary.
  20. Elementary teachers often wear teacher clothes. It's a combo of needing to dress professionally, not look like the kids and being able to have a full range of movement while also being easily cleaned.
  21. Larry is a man and the rules are always different there. It's important for a host to have an equal amount of women and men to balance the table/party. The girls would be going to all of the events that they could once they were out until they were resigned spinsters. The men would go once they were deemed mature enough but the events weren't as fun to go to as the ones where you could hang out with your mistress (and if they weren't looking to be married they didn't want to be there) so it was harder to get enough men (often to the point where they would invite the local clergy just to get the numbers right). So a young man could be invited when his mother and sister wouldn't be. The Old Vs New money was complicated in the UK (as we saw in Downton which takes place a generation later) but it was even more complicated in the US because money was so much more ever present and because you could be a nobody and get social status in the US, it just took time and getting in the right circles. You have the complication of the men needing to work with the upstarts which society thought were tacky and unclassy and business deals were made at these parties. The old Vs new money has been a thing until the beginning of 21st century. Think Trump the tacky new money vs the old school Bush family. The NYC trust fund socialites who are on the board of the Met vs the ones that made their own money and have to work for a living. Being gay wasn't even something that would be contemplated. Sodomy was illegal. A capital offense most places (not sure about NYC at that time). Ada would have gone through the marriage mart (assuming her family could afford it, it would not be uncommon for a family to focus on the most marriageable of their daughters) but it seems like her sister was willing to protect her from a disastrous marriage and obviously felt like it was better to be single vs married to someone who wasn't of the right class. I'm enjoying this show, the whole era is fascinating. I do worry that the cast is too large. The urban setting makes a bigger cast a necessity which I suspect will end up putting the focus on the wealthy characters and leaving many with half written stories. I don't expect we'll get much from the servants.
  22. Those were some penis mushrooms. Complete with balls. Loved them and loved the theme.
  23. Emily in Paris is just inoffensive and stupid enough to be entertaining. It's got lots of fun clothes and pretty scenery and it's stupid.
  24. Great opening. Much better than what we've gotten most of the season.
  25. Martin was so sweet with Breanna. Very parental. I like that from a host.
