  1. This is a Canadian storm not one that would happen in Austin. Everyone got frostbite far too fast. Is this a season long ice storm. I'm so done. . .
  2. I've taught so many Courtney's. They keep you on your toes. The entire class saying the pledge to Courtney cracked me up. Jacob having the kids playing a roast game was awesome.
  3. It's croquet, but like many games end up when played by family they change the rules to make it brutal.
  4. Poor joe isn't broke. He owns his own construction company. He's probably worth quite a bit.
  5. Elias totally would have renamed the house after himself. I'm guessing the property was Hetty's dowry. That they owed a shitload in taxes and were going to lose it and Hetty marrying Elias fixed that.
  6. So, you can either be sucked off or go down on us lol That was an excellent episode and a nice way to acknowledge that there are money issues and draw them out a bit. Are they going to call the authorities or the news or a university or something about the corpse in their vault?
  7. She's right, Winston is cute. So they lost two this week who didn't care enough to stay. The Carolyn situation is weird. Do they not realize they are on a reality dating show.
  8. And the programs are always really badly programed
  9. So, I'm reading the book this show is based on. It is not a YA book, the characters are colleged age and it appears to have no similarity to this show except for the setting and the different forms of supes at school.
  10. Maybe they'll pull the duke out so everyone thinks he's dead?
  11. The cops being eliminated first twice and first for the exact same thing (not being able to think critically about the task), is kinda hilarious. I wondered if they blurred the locals so they didn't have to deal with wavers, keeps them out of contact with randoms. I'm surprised there isn't a rule that they need to be masked up when talking to locals (not pre-tested) just for extra security. It was so great seeing everyone race again and it felt good to see the precautions and see post-covid traveling. I thought the race was going to be further from society than it was (I figured that everything would be outdoors and mostly in fields and they wouldn't have contact with locals) so it was great to see a fairly normal post-covid leg. I don't think I'm going to miss the airport drama. It was fun but mostly it just ended up with everyone on the same flight anyway. Sherri and Akbar have been married a while and he's a coach. I suspect that she just stays out of situations where he would feel the need to coach her. If I went on TAR with my husband we would probably resemble Zach and Flo, I'd be crying and he'd be raging and nagging, which is why I'd never go on TAR with my husband.
  12. Cloud 9 has showed up on several shows (Good Girls). It's a nice in joke and I'm sure they have all the branded stuff already.
  13. He's a kid growing up in NYC. He would have friends with a variety of parents and I'm sure that Olivia would have explained the different types of relationships to him.
  14. It seems pretty absurd to have so much drama with being national champions when you are just beating one team. Makes for good TV though. There have been other reality shows that have focused on other cheer teams (HS, All Star, College), the reason this one was so popular was a large part due to the community college environment which instead of giving us rich girls with rich problems it gave us kids who were talented but from horrific background (which is the reason they didn't go to a Division 1 school). I hated that there seemed to be no care for the future of these kids. Instead of pushing for them to transfer to a four year school and complete their degree and improve their lives the focus is just on what is going on now and competing with the team and running out their eligibility (not to mention all the creeps who continue to hang out and make the team a large part of their lives). The team should be a chance to really change the lives of these kids and it seemed like there was no emphasis on that. The advanced ages of some of the kids on the team also seemed absurd.
  15. It was a nice story beginning to end but I hope we at least get some more episodes. It was fun. Eating the bad guys at the end was great.
  16. Trevor might like that sometimes.
  17. Did all of these women visit the same plastic surgeon to get lip filler? They all have gigantic lips.
  18. When I heard they'd started filming (which at the time I thought was crazy) I figured they'd just skip Asia things were fairly contained for a white. Then it exploded.
  19. They're not competing in any of the conferences. It's all through ACA the monopoly that owns and controls cheerleading. So there are no eligibility rules.
  20. The rules are different for Cheerleading because it's not a sport in the NCAA (it is in NAIA but not NCAA), it's considered an activity so it doesn't face the same eligibility rules as a typical sport. However, typically athletes at these junior colleges are going to these schools because they don't meet the eligibility requirements to play NCAA sports and so they go to the Junior College to try to get their grades to a point where they can transfer. I suspect that's what typically happens at Navarro when there aren't video cameras following them around (I think we even saw that with someone in the first season) in addition to kids who are getting a two year education who might not have without the support of an athletics program. I suspect residential junior colleges are mostly just a thing in the middle of the country where there are large groups of people who live in areas that aren't within driving distance from community colleges. Nevarro being national champions is great but there's a reason we never saw more than two teams on the stage when they were doing awards. Those two are probably the only JuCo's in the country with co-ed teams that size. Trinity Valley seemed more professional and like a much better place to be, just the way they dressed for practice seemed better.
  21. I'm on the Jerry episode now. Do they mention the other two Navarro cheerleaders who were arrested for child sex abuse because it was three of them! Jerry's was specifically bad, he couldn't even stop abusing kids when he was out on bail (and he was denied bail because of that). I'm glad they didn't just erase Jerry from the second season and instead acknowledged it and supported those two (male) victims. Amazing for those boys for being willing to speak up, they are heroes. I'm also wondering how many semesters some of those cheerleaders were attending Junior College and I wonder what they end up doing after. It didn't sound like that Monica was pushing the kids to move to a four year school.
  22. Julie Benz is just a terrific actress. She has always been able to turn herself into completely different people.
  23. The original added slurping sounds to imply that one of the girls was giving the Joe a blow job. It's all about how trashy can they be. But trashier, and produced to encourage more embarrassment from the girls.
