I think you mean Frank and not Jack.

Pnina Tornai and Her Sparkly, Sparkly Gowns
abbey replied to Rhondinella's topic in Say Yes To The Dress [V]
SYTD had a special on Pnina a while back and if I remember correctly Pnina said Kleinfeld's initially did not want to carry her dresses as they didn't think they would sell well. But they gave her a chance and subsequently called her and said they wanted more of her dresses as the brides to be loved them. A sad commentary on what brides appear to be looking for. Meghan's dress was simple and understated. The attention was on Meghan and not on the dress. With the Pnina dresses I would imagine most everyone (I know I would be) is gaping at all the bling and exposed body parts and not giving the bride herself much attention at all.- 139 replies

I probably listened to about 8 minutes of that before I had enough. Lots of blaming Dr. Now. She claims she didn't leave the show, he dismissed her as a patient after he claimed she was seeing another doctor. She claims she went to the other doctor because Dr. Now wasn't doing what he was supposed to about checking her blood (I think maybe she was on blood thinners, cannot remember exactly her voice and attitude was getting very annoying). She also complained about the hospital not feeding Freddy while she was in the hospital. She apparently thinks the hospital is responsible for not only feeding the patient but their family too.

Pnina Tornai and Her Sparkly, Sparkly Gowns

Some friends and I were watching the royal wedding this morning and commenting on what a pleasant change Meghan's dress was from the stuff so many brides are now wearing. One of the commentators said they expected to see knock offs of it in Kleinfield's within the week. No doubt an exaggeration but presumably there will be seamstresses working hard to get copies out asap. It will be interesting to see how many brides actually decide to go with that look. No lace, no decorations, modest neckline....when was the last time we saw a kleinfield bride in a dress like that? -
MYPEOPLEARENORDIC.....I rarely post on the Duggar threads, but I do read them. I am a regular church goer (a heathen Catholic) and I have my weekly holy hour on Wednesday. I will be praying for you that all goes well and you come through with flying colors.

Per Diana Gabalson Lizzie is in the show. I read this on one of the Outlander Groups in Facebook. I don't remember which one, sorry, but DG apparently mentioned it in the literary forum she frequents and someone brought her quote over to facebook.

I admit to fast forwarding through some of the scenes so I probably missed this but where are Joe and Kendra living?? Did they get a house from JimBob too? If not where are they residing? I assume it is in close proximity to the TTH.

I have slowly been losing interest in the show, despite my mad crush on Mark Harmon, but this sounds interesting. Very glad to see Ducky again too.

I am confused so I am hoping I can get some help! Yes it did look like Cyrus did it but wasn't he cutting it a little close with those B15's or whatever those jets were? Air Force Two supposedly came within seconds of being blown out of the sky so was the presidency really worth risking death for? And what was the point of Olivia's mother being in the show? Just to remind us that no matter how evil she is she still loves Olivia? I got the impression from some of what she said that she was hinting she was responsible for the hacking of the plane. At least she appeared to be hinting that and as soon as she did Olivia left. Will be interesting to see what they come up with for the remaining episodes.

We only had one bathroom in our house and my sister and I never saw my father (or anyone else in the family) naked. The door should be used. The fact that this father is so casual about it is very disturbing.

There is such a thing as early onset dementia. A friend, just 49 years old, just got diagnosed with it. Whatever Lisa has she has no interest in changing her eating habits or treating her family like anything other than servants. So sad.

I fell asleep watching the show so I have a couple of questions. Apparently, from the comments above, a surgery date has been made? How can they do that if they don't have 2 consent letters? From the little I saw Dr. Bowers said that she couldn't do the surgery unless Jazz lost more weight. Are they just scheduling the operation and hoping Jazz magically loses weight and obtains 2 letters? And is Dr. Bowers the one doing the surgery?

I would have serious reservations about hiring a lawyer who was also a comedian and reality tv star. Hoping she and her sister don't make any more appearances on SYTD. -

For kicks I just took a look at the application to be on show According to the application there is a limit of 3 guests. Since when? lol. Have we ever seen that small of an entourage? -

I have a friend whose daughter is getting married. She has an appointment in a few weeks at Kleinfelds. Not on TV of course, but I am anxious to hear how the whole process goes for those folks who don't have tv cameras on them. Hoping she gets a consultant I recognize but probably not. -
I didn't see a preview either. Was anxiously waiting for it and then the preview for Young Sheldon showed up.

Say Yes To The Dress - General Discussion

That blue dress of Randy's is horrendous. The bride's mother called one of the first dresses she tried on too promiscuous because it was low cut but she loves!! a dress whose upper half is basically two pasties? That makes absolutely no sense (not that anything on this show makes sense.) That dress actually makes Pnina's stuff look modest in comparison. -
House Hunters last night was a special version apparently...".House Hunters where are they now." I about fell out of my chair when one of the house hunters was shown walking through one of the houses she was being shown. She told the realtor she didn't want an ensuite bathroom. What??? I thought that was one of commandments of house hunters. They then showed her in the house she ended up buying..and she was commenting on how much she liked walking from her bedroom, down a few stairs, and around the corner to the bathroom. She appeared to be serious. It was actually rather refreshing. I am so sick of all of them parroting the same lines...open concept, ensuite bathroom, room for entertaining, etc.

I have been a huge fan of NCIS since the beginning but even my love for this show couldn't prevent me from seeing the utter stupidity of it all. Delilah's Dr. not knowing she was expecting twins? Paraplegic Delilah giving birth naturally and being able to push those babies out? Naming one of the twins after a security guy who, although well meaning, completely screwed things up and caused all the uproar himself including mentioning that Tim's wife was giving birth to twins thereby giving the terrorist additional info. I can excuse some stuff, this is tv after all, but this episode was just too much. I hope the writing improves and improves soon.

I too question the "ultrasound is a risk" scenario. I could see how an MRI would be risky with the shrapnel, but I don't think ultrasounds use magnets (at least the ones I have had don't appear to), so I am curious why they came up with that for the excuse for no ultrasounds.

I taped this show and haven't watched it completely yet. I caught a few minutes when the kids were in the grocery store and miracle of miracles! Bill was making them put the additional pears back. After reading all the comments above I think I will delete the show without watching it. It is very frustrating to watch the kids pretty much ignoring both parents and both parents being pretty much clueless (with the exception of Bill in the grocery store) about how to keep the kids behaving. They are well educated and smart people but seriously lacking in common sense when it comes to disciplining their kids. Their lives would be less stressful if they weren't making meaningless attempts at discipline and instead the kids knew to listen when mom and dad told them something. It isn't fun to watch anymore and that makes me very sad.

Arwen I have never posted on the Prayer Closet before, just read, but I have been praying for you since I read of your diagnosis. I am happy to hear the treatments are working so well. This heathen Catholic will continue to pray. Keep up the good fight!

I was going to say they could just hit the highlights of the remaining parts of the book but there is so much to cover. Ian's kidnapping, Claire and Jamie's time on the ship, Claire's escape from the ship, meeting Lord John again, meeting Geillis again. Ian's rescue, their shipwreck on the shores of Georgia. Wow they do have a lot to cover. They better include Fergus and Marsali's marriage on the beach by the drunken priest lol. That and the turtle soup incident are 2 of my favorite moments in Voyager.

I remember in a much earlier episode when he was younger Jen actually put Will in a time out because he got angry and something she told him to do and he hit her. She disciplined him appropriately there, it is so unfortunate we don't see more of that. Although I suppose they don't want to show too much of that kind of stuff because they are school age now and their classmates might see the show. However if they were disciplining them when the cameras weren't on I think we would see much better behavior when the cameras weren't on.
