The Wendy Williams Show - General Discussion
Jaded replied to David T. Cole's topic in The Wendy Williams Show
I read something yesterday mentioning that her son was worried about how her current management team has been treating her. I think what I read was from a couple days or more before her latest trip to a treatment facility was brought to light. I know she's done dreadful things in her life. Having said that it's still sad to see the toll addiction takes on the person fighting it and those around them. I'm hoping her current manager actually cares like he seems like he might going by his comments to ET. She needs someone looking out for her in that way since it's glaringly obvious she hasn't been able to do that for herself in quite awhile. -
Season 17: Van Buren Ain't Got Time for Detective Beauty Queen
Jaded replied to GHScorpiosRule's topic in Law & Order
Every time this thread gets bumped up with discussion going on it brings back my frustration and anger. Which I've posted about before is over the fact that the one female partner that this show has had was written the way she was. Even though Milena Govich wasn't a favorite of mine on Conviction or L&O, she could have done well enough with material that wasn't about her character always getting dragged by people for having been a beauty queen. Her character wasn't as bad more near the end of that season when they let up on that mess more. In a round about way it always reminded me of a character on Days of Our Lives. When she was teen she got forced into making adult videos under one of those porny type nicknames by her father. Even with other characters on the show eventually knowing the backstory of how it happened they'd still bring the fact that she appeared in the videos/etc. up whenever any scheme she was pulling got exposed. -

Faith came back so that poor cat could be used as a sacrifice for the idiotic CK storyline. -
I have an aunt I haven't seen since the 90's due to which side of my family she's on. She's the youngest of three kids with two older brothers. Even back then when she was in her mid 30's she looked like she was knocking on 50's door. She had been a sun worshiper in high school and into the later 70's. My Mom always used her as an example to me in regards to what happens when people have spent too much time in the sun. The aunt was two or three years younger then my Mom and the thing that helped create me who's said aunt's brother. I mention that because the aunt was in a couple of my Mom's yearbooks and was so pretty before the sun took it's told later on. It will be interesting if the show does recast Jax and to see who they'd find to play nuJax,

Like Sand Through an Hourglass: Behind the Scenes of DOOL
Jaded replied to OnceSane's topic in Days Of Our Lives
The picture was probably black and white when it was originally taken. I'm not sure what colors would look good on the sides except for maybe more silver frosting. -
He either secretly wanted out or he's so oblivious and arrogant that he didn't actually think that "The Atlantic" article would do him in. I meant to post a summary of that article from one of the sites that did one then would forget. Doesn't look like that's needed now. It's bad when you have employees at a TV network having to report on their own place of in the way those at CNN have had to do.

I read that quite a few of the former Gladiators turned down the offer to appear due to the creator that's still allowed to speak about the show.

Yep. Then they tacked on a message at the end to say that no animals had actually been hurt. -

He apparently stopped the kissing after Taylor attended a concert of his band's near the start of the year. The entertainment sites are saying that him starting to do it again was a sign something was up between him and Taylor. I hate that I know this. It's hard not to read about this stuff when it's being mentioned on sites I frequent already....🙃 -
I want them to open a location or two where I am so bad. Seeing pictures of their food and discussions about eating there from online friends in some groups have made it sound so good. They are in Hattiesburg, MS I guess the college there is a big draw. Down in the area I'm in there are a couple of those, the beach and casinos. it gets tiring having so many locations of the same chains without much variety.

I thought I posted this reply a few days ago. Instead it was still sitting here unsent. Tonya Williams who played Olivia is back in her homeland of Canada and has a career going up there. I wouldn't blame her if she never wanted to return to this show. I do wish they'd bring Dru back though since a lot of what were deemed over the top claims VR made about CBS back in the day were proven to have a lot of truth in them. It took a long time for all of that horror to be exposed though. Today's comment about the first ten minutes of the show is F you Josh Griffith you disgusting piece of trash. The camera shot made things that much worse...😾 -
Ugh!: Actors, Hosts, And TV Personalities You Just Can't Stand
Jaded replied to UYI's topic in Everything Else TV
Since he's going to be on a FOX reality show I won't be watching I can share my dislike for him here too. Lance Armstrong is going to be on a reality show called "Stars on Mars". There are a few others cast as those who are probably meant to be seen as villains' too, one of the two Toms from "Vanderpump Rules" being one of the others. Lance's cheating ways went on for so long though and all of the issues it caused for other people made me not want to hear or see from him ever again. In the comment section on one site people are saying that others who don't like him should go easier because of the foundation he helped create. To me though plenty of wealthy people start foundations or give money to causes to make themselves look better all the while being awful people at the same time.- 2.0k replies

I've heard more of the Eurythmics music than what you mentioned. I've also watched a lot of their videos on YT since they didn't really have them on VH1 or MTV at the time I was old enough to start remembering what I'd see on those channels. I remembered the songs themselves more though. I've been listening to a lot of solo Annie Lenox stuff lately which made me want to go looking for some Eurythmics content on Spoitify. I started listening to a "Greatest Hits" album of theirs from the early 90's and was surprised to hear a few of the songs on there that were new to me which were considered to be hits. This has been one of my favorite Annie Lenox songs and videos in general since they both came out in 92' when I was 9/10.

I'm guessing Monday's episode didn't including that scene with Faith screaming at something offscreen while then Sharon reacting to it while being at home. -

I only know about this movie because an online friend loves awful in a good way 80's movies. She's posted about Tuff Turf more than once. I looked at the list of stunt people on IMDB and watched the end credits in this YT video which lists the same names. The only woman on the list died in 2007. -
My Nana became a "widow" ( I don't like that word) almost two years before I was born. She was never interested in getting into any type of relationship after my Grandfather died. I think she really enjoyed her freedom and being able to do whatever the hell she wanted without having to really worry about anyone else family or not. He had been a "functional" alcoholic for a long time. Sad thing was I was told he was the sweetest and kindest person when not drunk. My Mom and Nana spent the year before he died taking care of him when she had only just retired as an RN not long before having to start doing so. In the late 60's my Mom's two brothers had moved out of the family home so it was my Mom, Nana and Grandfather. It was a 3bd 1ba house so he was still frustrated that he could barely get into the bathroom most of the time so he went and signed papers on a 4bd 2ba house in another neighborhood behind my Nana's back. She was mad at first because she really liked the neighborhood in which they had been living. After moving into the new house where she got the main bedroom all to herself she always said she wasn't quite as mad anymore since the peace was so enjoyable. Although when I was young she'd still mention that old house sometimes and say she wished they had just put a half bath in the hall closet which I guess was big enough for one since that's what's there now. Got to see inside it when I found realtor photos online. It hadn't been remodeled much so it was really neat to see.

I remember the sewer part of the supposed corpse's journey the most. It made me laugh then and still does now especially thinking about those two being in a sewer. I'm sure the rat just wanted to say "Hi" and see if she knew how the rat king Victor Newman was doing....😄 -

The Little Mermaid (1992) - General Discussion
Jaded replied to Spartan Girl's topic in The Little Mermaid (1992)
I didn't really remember the TV cartoon all that much even though it aired on CBS on Saturday mornings. Garfield was the one CBS Saturday morning show I remember keeping up with in 1992 after NBC's TNBC having started that year. After going to YT to look up the opening I found that and a short clip too. ----------- -
