  1. I don't really understand the complaints about the after party or KKP. Its all relatively the same. They even started the polls and interactive stuff last year. Its all just trying to create more audience engagement. The afterparty is mostly useless unless something really big goes down. Its just fluff and the KKP talking during commercials is just so easily skippable to me. I've always thought that its also a sneaky way to try and get people to stop fast forwarding thinking the show is back. Maybe you catch a commercial or two thinking you missed something. Onto the episode itself. I don't think, based on what we are seeing, there were any egregious choices for couplings. This concept is a big roll of the dice. You can only predict so much. People being open to try is all I can really hope for. I do think everyone is trying. Orion is a real piece of work though. Lauren over shared but Orion goes from 0 to 100 every time he hears something he doesn't like. You can't make relationships work like that.
  2. I fast forward through the Big T stuff. I'm happy for her, I just don't care. It's pretty common to have someone coming out these days so it's not something I would be shocked or invested in. It's a good thing. Your sexuality isn't something you should have to hide. You should be free to live your life. I just don't personally care. It reminds me of a true life episode about people coming out. There was more than one we already knew/okay I'm happy for you (shoulder shrug). That's basically where I'm at now. I was scared that champions were going to work their way back into being able to compete for the win. I'm glad that's not the case just because we've seen it so many damn times. We still kind of have the same problem though. There are still cliques and people that have been on multiple seasons and gained enough ground to slide to the end just like any other season.
  3. I enjoyed the premier. This show was never amazing television, but it does a good job of sparking conversations and introspection. I like that they get people for this show that are off the beaten path shall we say. We have plenty of bland, similar looking/acting people on these shows. Some diversity in not just race but lifestyles, values, etc. is always appreciated. You just have to find people open to different types and not caught up on preferences. This show is also easy to fly through. That's what the dvr is for. Something I don't care about, I keep pushing. My fear for the first rejection at the altar was that the bride would look down the altar and nope right on out of there without going down or saying anything to the groom. Thankfully we did not have that.
  4. This is the thing. Uche wasn't the devil on Lydia's side of things at any point until now. She was even thrilled to hear him in the pods and give it a go. I trust nothing either Uche or Lydia say. They are both untrustworthy. I'm also not mad how the guys talk to women. What I mean by that is always look at it is, talk to everyone with some level of respect. No adult needs to bully anyone. A bunch of these people need to grow up. Loving season 5. I'm just here for the entertainment. Whether it be drama, or love, or interesting couple dynamics. She also talked tons of shit about the woman he's with. His demeanor is not justified but its not confusing why he would want to have a go at her.
  5. I can't personally see myself routing for Jared over anyone else or for that person being seen as smug. Jared is also a smug prick IMO. At least Cory stopped playing Jared and his moms game while deciding to fight to survive. She's basically had a free ride this whole time. It was time for her to win when it counted. Strategic behind the scenes play can only get you so far. Also, Jared was ultimately the target. His shield needed to be removed.
  6. Oh my goodness. Just cast your vote and get the hell out of the room. At, least address one person and leave. I can't stand it.
  7. Damn, I waited all day to see if more comments would come up and one did. Just one. Well I'll add that I have never I liked someone that was formely on any reality show jumping on big brother. I don't watch survivor but I wouldn't want it then either. Only Amazing Race works or the challenge since they surrounded by reality TV people. This show...hell no. I just watched another episode orbiting around one person whether she was on screen or not. Dominant alliances arent even that interesting to me unless its a interesting/evolving storyline like the cookout. Can we get a revolt already. Stop letting people run away with this.
  8. Oh Wes, shut the hell up. You have been playing this for decades now. Hang it up. Also, no one cares if you have an expecting child. You should have enough money squared away for 2 kids all the way up to college at this point.
  9. She came from Are You the One just like Tori and Devin among others while that show was going strong on MTV.
  10. It was a part of embracing the free spirit/loss of conventional methods of living that went on at the time of the original experiment. Also, it's reality tv. And LaShonna wouldn't be wrong. This is just another instance of the fear of the angry black man/woman. It's also the problem of not having enough people of color of this boat. You have multiple white women making a mountain out of one innocuous/chest thumping statement with Russell being the only outright ally and being able to think logically about it.
  11. Watchung Pete Holmes vs Jared Padalecki. Jared's friend saying microwaved fish for scent you would be shocked see as a perfume/scent and hitting number one with food/Broccoli is pure nonsense to me. I assume they just wanted to group all food related answers they got together but I don't think you should be able to say literally any food and hit.
  12. They weren't involved in the 30 for 30 not this one for the post part. Other than say Gemini and Sabre, there aren't that many major Gladiators on that one. Not to be shallow but the women aged remarkably well. Especially Ice and Blaze. No knock on the guys. Most of them look great too. Then there is...Tower. Just joking. He aged well enough. It just also looks like he literally shrunk.
  13. Or... that ass. I'm sure there are dudes there that would just like to smash because she thick.
  14. This is literally an anthology series. It's not a medical procedural or any standard narrative show. Twilight Zone would do wacky farce, drama, Sci fi and horror randomly from week to week. It was never just anything. Most anthologies like these do that. Keep in mind, I'm not saying anyone has to like this turn. I happen to not think the show is trash just because of expectations I put in on it. We all ran with, this is tech horror, when the show is obviously talking about more than that. I'm cool with creators trying different things. I just want quality/entertaining TV. I got that here it was too long for me. We got three episodes this season and this last one that lived in those parameters people put on it. We got a extra two that tried something different. No harm, no foul from me. I just need these episodes to not be so damn long this often.
  15. It's not supposed to be anything. People ran with the tech narrative as if that was ever what the show was only supposed to be. And we had four episodes involving tech and media which was always a part of the show. The fifth episode was deliberately something different.
  16. That's all behind the scenes stuff that I'm not talking about. His public feud with Vin is always something he played up. He was always going to do business and come back. His ego, in reality, is a whole other thing.
  17. We all must stop putting expectations on what Black mirror is. This is memo to everyone watching this season. Take it for what it is. The show is moving beyond just being tech based horror. Which was always a great hook but can also be limiting in a anthology series that could conceivably go anywhere.
  18. The point Letting anyone this much into your life and home is dangerous. Your life is almost always more valuable and desirable to someone else even if you don't feel or understand that. What I like about this story is that it took a lot of tropes and turned them on their head. In another show or movie, the wife in a cold marriage falling for the artistic man who lost his family would have just been played straight. Realistically, that would make all but one of the people here shitty but we are expected to root for them. This is ultimately the story a man not just trying to take a another man's life but also a man literally just trying to insert the holes he needed filled. He probably used some the same playbook to get his wife. We know he initiates intimacy some way at least.
  19. The moment they floated the idea of the guys switching places, I kept saying, It's a trap! In my head. Little did I know that I was right. I did not know that it would be one sidea. Which I like.
  20. I fail to see how not wanting to eat something makes her rude. We really don't need to go along with everything just to be polite. Streamberry/Netflix can be looked at as bad just like most things. The first episode isn't any different than when south park riffed on apple's terms and conditions and the dangers of not reading the fine print. True Crime is not a Netflix thing. It's a worldwide phenomenon that's always been dark and fucked up in practice. It's a whole genre that lives off the real life death and suffering of others. Black mirror has always been partly an examination of the dangers within the world as we progress but also our part in that.
  21. They were a couple using the camera to have fun...just like the parents. It was fun for both couple. That fun happened to be disturbing in one case. Just a tip that worry about the tech influence in every episode isn't necessary. There was a purposeful movement to not be so beholden to tech based horror. Which I am fine with.
  22. All three Creed movies were great in my opinion. Rocky into Creed has a crazy amount of quality movies within it. My only issue with the rivalry was parts being rushed. Like Dame didn't just become rich overnight. We skip time and skip his time as champ as a result. It's black panther syndrome. I've long since felt that the first Panther movie should of ended with TChala defeated and Killmonger burning the herbs. Killmonger suffers because of rushed third act. Dame does as well. Still a really good movie. This series has the goods.
  23. It's hilarious to me how many people bought into Rock saying he was never coming back. It ain't because of Black Adam issues. That man comes from pro wrestling. He knows how to play up angles for heightened drama. With Paul gone, there is way too much Vin in these now. There is less of everyone else as a result. I also hate splitting up teams in movies. It only truly works when the characters are really good or there are plenty of different dynamics to explore.
  24. Nah, they aren't all top tier and Murphy is not a household name at all. Speaking in general terms.
