Literally Arris and Jasmine said they've grown closer since d day. Gina and Clint, via the reunion previews, said the same thing.
-
I think he actually took the whole decision day thing seriously which I love since that day is borderline pointless at this point with so many people giving yes...to time. I mean, they can always reconnect anyway. But, I think he was so unsure, he truly should have given it more time. But, it didn't really have to be that serious. We see couples that have gotten closer post dday with one and by the reunion with another. Kirsten can't look past the initial rejection so they can't try things without the forced marriage on them.
-
Kirsten is a robot with very few feelings and often doesn't come off genuine. I'm sure he was looking for someone who actually exhibits...any emotions and seemed like they gave a damn ever.

We've seen before (through Mark the Shark) that there are extra steps involving lawyers for some of them. People like to joke about birthday parties for babies being dumb because they won't remember or begin to care. But, having a birthday party for a pet is next level silly to me.

I already know all the reasons people will say they care more about animals. The notion is still silly to me. But, it is what it is.

S16.E22: First Dates and Swapping Mates
Racj82 replied to Emma Snyder's topic in Married At First Sight
Not everyone wants to be on tv. It's a thing. That's not a realistic worry for anyone. They are already in a different location for next season and they never going to just recycle people for another season. Maybe a spinoff but this season was a failure anyway. -
It's basically like ending thoughts with "isn't it" over and over which also annoys me. It's also not something Americans do. But, hey, maybe their mother did rub off on them in some way.

I honestly think Ken lost Shiv when he said let's do this for Dad. It's like him saying, "okay let's put me in charge because that's what he wanted. He clearly thinks he deserved succession. Which would have always burned away at her. She literally winced when he said it...which led right into the vote.
-
This is true (the yeah) but it sticks out so much with Shiv to me. It may also be a deliberate tick they put on Shiv as she tried to gain power.
-
Not important at all but Shiv constantly ending statements with Yeah? drives me up a wall. They went overboard with all the kids doing it this episode. But, it could just be me. Yeah?

I dont root for any of these people. So, no shark to jump for me. There are levels of shittyness through all the characters. But, I don't route for any of them to "win" and I don't expect them to grow much.

That's just being a human being. No one is just one thing. Also, cheating on your spouse doesn't make you monster. It means you are a terrible spouse/partner, it's you are weak but it can also mean you were reaching out for connection in the wrong place etc. The show isn't haven't it both ways. Its just complicated like most things. That doesn't actually defeat to purpose. The person is clearly being petty. Both parties know it. But, it's what they want.

I guess you never paid attention to her crooked yellow bottom row of teeth that were visible in every talking head. She never said the movies she wanted them to watch were romantic or lead to romance. She said that those movies show different types of bonds and love. I think she was trying not to force romance on them but show that can get closer in different ways. Maybe romance will grow from there. Of course, it won't mostly because of Gina but whatever. There was never anything the experts could say to help them after the honeymoon.
-
Of course, we are. That's what reunions are for.
-
I don't think he does like her much anymore.

I dont think Shaq is asking Kirsten to follow him around all day at work. She's never been to any of his workshops or anything like that. Even on the honeymoon, she went with him but never came to any of his functions. I think it's just something he woud to share with her at some point. He also thinks it will give her better understanding of himself and his work. It's not crazy to go with him once at the very least. I think that Shaq feels that a lot of the stuff Kirsten says is very hollow. So, he wants to see actual action. Not just words.

No, they actually couldn't find enough people so they opened up casting to other cities relatively close.

People needing space is the normal part. Once you mix in work and all that, it can end up being days. It's not crazy. I wouldn't do it in this format because they have limited time. It's not like there is a set time frame for space to figure things out. I wouldn't of done it. I think he should've dealt with things sooner. I also don't think it even touches irrational things people have done on this show.
-
Meh. I don't think she gave a shit that he left either and that is part of the problem. I'm not excusing anything but nothing he did was out of the realm of a normal reaction. Everything Jackie did or said at a certain point is just baffling. People have flaws so I don't pick that much. But, Jackie just went to another level by the end there. There is flat out wrong in my eyes and wrong but understandable. I even get that his project line was more about seeing the future they could have if they just work on the issues and walls. But, it's still too wild to defend. People seem to keep forgetting that they both straight up said that a woman walking around in Calvin Klein style men's underwear is sexy to them. It wasn't out of the blue or random. I know we burn through a lot in these episodes but it wasn't random. He literally said he thinks Seattle is over priced and overrated. He is not high on living in Seattle. He's also much happier in his regular place because of the life he set up there.

I don't care who bought it if it wasn't her. She was being petty on top of petty so I will continue to clown her for that too. Every single move she made in the break up was a bad look. Every move. It's quite astonishing.
-
Yeah, I can already see the defense of her online. She shouldn't have to be with someone just because he's a good guy etc. But, that's not the point. How she basically went about everything is trash. Marshall's only real fault was the project line. But, never even took that the way everyone else did. He saw her as someone who was guarded and having a hard time. He also saw the connection there as well. So, he saw working on them and getting down her defenses as the project. Work on gaining her trust and letting him in. Either way, he deserved better than what he got. Ditching the dress fitting to meet up with another dude and....then dumping him? Come on now.

S16.E14: The Rope, the Feather, and the Bidet
Racj82 replied to Emma Snyder's topic in Married At First Sight
Literally every person has problems, insecurities and things they need to work on. What kind of issues is the point. Like, even with Nicole and how needy she is, she is still open. Nicole is not running or putting walls up. She shouldn't be disqualified from this because of her specific problems. The people not willing to honestly work on things or not bend at all are the problem. Also, the rigid people who need things a specific way or they are out. I get that the show gets good ratings but there are only so many ways to either address the same problems or follow a couple that has none. -

The first scene. -
My kind of people. No one is wrong in terms of their opinion. This is also not groundbreaking tv but I found it entertaining. I was invested enough that I found myself hoping that certain obvious things wouldn't happen. I felt that way because I wanted so and so to just be good or that person not to die. I loved Rose and our Night Agent together. I was ready for him to be a bland white block of wood but I liked both of them. I also like that he wasn't indestructible. He got hurt a lot and basically stayed that way.

S16.E13: I'm Not Acting Crazy With You Tonight
Racj82 replied to Emma Snyder's topic in Married At First Sight
There are obviously black people that are Jewish but I think you know what they meant when they were pointing out those two things. He was probably looking for light skinned/mixed race looking woman.
