  1. They weren't involved in the 30 for 30 not this one for the post part. Other than say Gemini and Sabre, there aren't that many major Gladiators on that one. Not to be shallow but the women aged remarkably well. Especially Ice and Blaze. No knock on the guys. Most of them look great too. Then there is...Tower. Just joking. He aged well enough. It just also looks like he literally shrunk.
  2. Or... that ass. I'm sure there are dudes there that would just like to smash because she thick.
  3. This is literally an anthology series. It's not a medical procedural or any standard narrative show. Twilight Zone would do wacky farce, drama, Sci fi and horror randomly from week to week. It was never just anything. Most anthologies like these do that. Keep in mind, I'm not saying anyone has to like this turn. I happen to not think the show is trash just because of expectations I put in on it. We all ran with, this is tech horror, when the show is obviously talking about more than that. I'm cool with creators trying different things. I just want quality/entertaining TV. I got that here it was too long for me. We got three episodes this season and this last one that lived in those parameters people put on it. We got a extra two that tried something different. No harm, no foul from me. I just need these episodes to not be so damn long this often.
  4. It's not supposed to be anything. People ran with the tech narrative as if that was ever what the show was only supposed to be. And we had four episodes involving tech and media which was always a part of the show. The fifth episode was deliberately something different.
  5. That's all behind the scenes stuff that I'm not talking about. His public feud with Vin is always something he played up. He was always going to do business and come back. His ego, in reality, is a whole other thing.
  6. We all must stop putting expectations on what Black mirror is. This is memo to everyone watching this season. Take it for what it is. The show is moving beyond just being tech based horror. Which was always a great hook but can also be limiting in a anthology series that could conceivably go anywhere.
  7. The point Letting anyone this much into your life and home is dangerous. Your life is almost always more valuable and desirable to someone else even if you don't feel or understand that. What I like about this story is that it took a lot of tropes and turned them on their head. In another show or movie, the wife in a cold marriage falling for the artistic man who lost his family would have just been played straight. Realistically, that would make all but one of the people here shitty but we are expected to root for them. This is ultimately the story a man not just trying to take a another man's life but also a man literally just trying to insert the holes he needed filled. He probably used some the same playbook to get his wife. We know he initiates intimacy some way at least.
  8. The moment they floated the idea of the guys switching places, I kept saying, It's a trap! In my head. Little did I know that I was right. I did not know that it would be one sidea. Which I like.
  9. I fail to see how not wanting to eat something makes her rude. We really don't need to go along with everything just to be polite. Streamberry/Netflix can be looked at as bad just like most things. The first episode isn't any different than when south park riffed on apple's terms and conditions and the dangers of not reading the fine print. True Crime is not a Netflix thing. It's a worldwide phenomenon that's always been dark and fucked up in practice. It's a whole genre that lives off the real life death and suffering of others. Black mirror has always been partly an examination of the dangers within the world as we progress but also our part in that.
  10. They were a couple using the camera to have fun...just like the parents. It was fun for both couple. That fun happened to be disturbing in one case. Just a tip that worry about the tech influence in every episode isn't necessary. There was a purposeful movement to not be so beholden to tech based horror. Which I am fine with.
  11. All three Creed movies were great in my opinion. Rocky into Creed has a crazy amount of quality movies within it. My only issue with the rivalry was parts being rushed. Like Dame didn't just become rich overnight. We skip time and skip his time as champ as a result. It's black panther syndrome. I've long since felt that the first Panther movie should of ended with TChala defeated and Killmonger burning the herbs. Killmonger suffers because of rushed third act. Dame does as well. Still a really good movie. This series has the goods.
  12. It's hilarious to me how many people bought into Rock saying he was never coming back. It ain't because of Black Adam issues. That man comes from pro wrestling. He knows how to play up angles for heightened drama. With Paul gone, there is way too much Vin in these now. There is less of everyone else as a result. I also hate splitting up teams in movies. It only truly works when the characters are really good or there are plenty of different dynamics to explore.
  13. Nah, they aren't all top tier and Murphy is not a household name at all. Speaking in general terms.
  14. We spent three weeks seeing where are they now. They already covered their after d day escapades.
  15. Literally Arris and Jasmine said they've grown closer since d day. Gina and Clint, via the reunion previews, said the same thing.
  16. I think he actually took the whole decision day thing seriously which I love since that day is borderline pointless at this point with so many people giving yes...to time. I mean, they can always reconnect anyway. But, I think he was so unsure, he truly should have given it more time. But, it didn't really have to be that serious. We see couples that have gotten closer post dday with one and by the reunion with another. Kirsten can't look past the initial rejection so they can't try things without the forced marriage on them.
  17. Kirsten is a robot with very few feelings and often doesn't come off genuine. I'm sure he was looking for someone who actually exhibits...any emotions and seemed like they gave a damn ever.
  18. We've seen before (through Mark the Shark) that there are extra steps involving lawyers for some of them. People like to joke about birthday parties for babies being dumb because they won't remember or begin to care. But, having a birthday party for a pet is next level silly to me.
  19. I already know all the reasons people will say they care more about animals. The notion is still silly to me. But, it is what it is.
  20. Not everyone wants to be on tv. It's a thing. That's not a realistic worry for anyone. They are already in a different location for next season and they never going to just recycle people for another season. Maybe a spinoff but this season was a failure anyway.
  21. It's basically like ending thoughts with "isn't it" over and over which also annoys me. It's also not something Americans do. But, hey, maybe their mother did rub off on them in some way.
  22. I honestly think Ken lost Shiv when he said let's do this for Dad. It's like him saying, "okay let's put me in charge because that's what he wanted. He clearly thinks he deserved succession. Which would have always burned away at her. She literally winced when he said it...which led right into the vote.
  23. This is true (the yeah) but it sticks out so much with Shiv to me. It may also be a deliberate tick they put on Shiv as she tried to gain power.
  24. Not important at all but Shiv constantly ending statements with Yeah? drives me up a wall. They went overboard with all the kids doing it this episode. But, it could just be me. Yeah?
  25. I dont root for any of these people. So, no shark to jump for me. There are levels of shittyness through all the characters. But, I don't route for any of them to "win" and I don't expect them to grow much.
