  1. Maybe the DD/JJ crossover will be Matt Murdock vs Jeri Hogarth in court?
  2. I totally understand. I didn't discover the show until 2011 (in time for AT to be in Catch Me if You Can). National tours had died down by then I think (by the time I discovered it the Broadway production had closed as well) but I think regional productions were still around.
  3. Macbeth is going to come out soon, maybe Michael Fassbender is still going to get that Oscar nom. And maybe Marion Cotillard too.
  4. This show is definitely what turned me into an AT fan. I agree about Kyle Dean Massey, tho I just thought his voice was too nasally. At least in the clip I saw of him as Gabe his voice was very squeaky.
  5. I LOVE NtN! I have the OBC on my phone and still listen to it. I think Gabe's memory "haunts" all members of the family in a different way. To Diana, he's a hallucination and like you say a representation of her illness but to Dan and Natalie he's more of a ghost. For Dan, who grieved (and still needs to), he needs to be acknowledged and takes on a metaphorical representation at the end (hence his new red shirt) but to his sister who's never met him he doesn't need to be. She's only haunted by his loss, but not actually his memory. IMO of course. If you decide to just bootleg it (like I did):
  6. So i saw An American in Paris yesterday. I loved it! Some of the songs felt a bit shoehorned in, but the dance was so gorgeous and fun that I didn't mind. Between this and the clips of On the Town I've seen, I'd hate to have been a Tony award voter last year. Holy choreography! So amazing. The big ballet number did not disappoint. I almost had the original cast too but Leanne Cope wasn't there for the performance. Her alternate (a different girl from the understudy tho) was good but I would have liked to see LC (then I could have seen all four Tony nominated performances!) At least I got Robert Fairchild. He was fabulous! A pretty actor (and singer) too considering he's more of a dancer. He really sold his character's lovesickness and desperation. You could still tell the musical theater actors apart, they sounded a touch more polished. There was an unexpected amount of pathos that I don't remember the movie having. I can see how Max von Essen and Brandon Uranowitz earned their Tony noms -- there were a lot of meaty, emotional scenes for both. Sorry if this ended up more of a review guys! A bit of raving about the show is required -- it was wonderful! Plus I got tickets to see Hamilton, which is pretty much the opposite of AAIP. In April...five months from now.
  7. I really liked Princess Carolyn and the rabbit until it turned out he wasn't really divorcing his wife and everything after that. I thought the build up to their relationship was perfect.
  8. I believe someone in one of the episode threads mentioned that in the comics Matt is immune to Purple Man's powers. From wiki: Not everyone is susceptible to his mind-control abilities. Doctor Doom has demonstrated that his supreme willpower can easily overcome the Purple Man's powers, while Daredevil is able to resist because being blind allows him to focus his concentration on resisting the Purple Man's verbal commands.
  9. Perhaps earplugs? Like Trish with her music in 1x13.
  10. http://www.broadway.com/buzz/182979/grease-live-stars-julianne-hough-aaron-tveit-and-vanessa-hudgens-give-us-chills-theyre-multiplyin/
  11. Officier Mahoney! It was his mother who liked cigars.
  12. http://www.buzzfeed.com/susancheng/master-of-none-children-of-immigrants-react#.vgGe52LwOm Not gonna lie, I teared up.
  13. Think Cary Grant. People still don't know what his real voice sounded like, he mastered that Mid-Atlantic accent.
  14. I LOVED Ryan. That's the guy you marry.
  15. Perhaps it's not romantic? Or maybe they've talked about it. They really haven't given much context to it. Isn't this the first episode we've actually seen it and had it mentioned?
  16. Well I think in the past, Rebecca was on some medications. When she got to WC, she threw all of that out.
  17. What was wrong with the kicking? Is there a difference between Stephen's interactions with Jon and Jimmy Fallon's interactions with the the Roots?
  18. With Man City's draw with Villa, all Arsenal had to do was beat Spurs to go top and get a two point lead so of course......they drew with Spurs. Because they hate us.
  19. I watched the Live from Lincoln center broadcast (on youtube) which might not be the same but no, there didn't seem to be any translation whatsoever. Except in specific songs like Aiutami. But that was different of course.
  20. Agreed. At this point flashes of Viola Davis's brilliance and those two are the only reasons I bother watching anymore.
  21. Yea, I'm not a fan of how the movies chose to show Peeta and Katniss's relationship or Peeta just in general. But I don't think the rebellion really starts until after the events at the end of Catching Fire. Up until then it was small gestures of rebellion and even then it was individuals, not a full on united movement yet (well District 13 hadn't really come out of hiding.)
  22. Everyone should watch Submissions Only! I'd say he's playing a similar character to Aaron Miller here too. Minus a female lead with Rebecca's mental issues of course.
