I don't think that's true. I mean it was implied that Rebecca had stayed in contact with the Chans after she spent Thanksgiving with them and that they really liked her. She even helped get a discount on Jayma's engagement ring and wrote a letter for rec for one of Josh's other sisters.

An SJW is apparently one of those people (perhaps on tumblr) who take PC a bit too far. It took me a while to figure it out too. I'm asian and while I don't love it I think people would make a big fuss if they'd cast an asian person too, maybe a bigger one since there doesn't seem to be a huge one right now. But yea if they were going to change the Ancient One then they should have changed the manservant too. I still think an asian woman would have been the best compromise in this case. I don't see the huge deal with Iron Fist not being asian either (though it would have been nice).

Looking over Dr. Strange's origin (does this count as a spoiler? lol :/ ) Tilda Swinton's character is supposed to be asian? I wouldn't say I have a problem with it, considering people would freak if an asian person were cast as a ~mystical~ mentor. It's really damned if they do, damned if they don't. Plus it's Tilda Swinton. Though maybe an asian woman would have sufficed with being gender-bending and truer to the source material. Though it seems that they're already race-bending with Ejiofor's character (cue the offended "POCs are always the bad guys" outrage again).

Why does Tilda Swinton looks like a chinese monk? Benedict Cumberbatch with an American accent will never not be weird. The man was born to speak with a English accent!

I agreee -- I don't think Daniel Radcliffe is trying to be edgy and rebellious for its own sake. He doesn't really convey that desperation that you see in someone like Miley Cyrus has to be "edgy." He seems like he just genuinely likes films like that and trying new things. I mean his Broadway resume is also quite varied. And from what I've heard, that farting corpse film is surprisingly very good.

Just watched the episode of Justice League: Unlimited where Supergirl meets (and falls for) Brainiac 5. This show is probably too grounded in reality (and too enamored with Jimmy - sorry James and Kara) to go there, but it would be interesting to have Kara in a relationship with another non human.

Does Boyhood count? Since it was actually filmed during the years it took place in. As a whole movie being watched in 2014 (15?) though, it was so nostalgic!

A bit of WTF in terms of source material to make a musical out of but apparently the London production with Matt Smith was really good.

Regarding the Clark discussion: Made before the movie came out, but still interesting.

If anything, Olicity (man I hate ship names) was/is (last I checked it seemed the writers got to that one too) one of the few decent things about that show. Once I saw Daredevil, I really saw no reason to keep trying with Arrow. Still relevent IMO, though I haven't seen The Flash see: Arrow (fool me once Greg Berlanti!) --

I love Barry so, but I was burned pretty bad by Arrow so I'm very very wary of trying The Flash (some of the same important BTS people). My love of JJ, MB, and most of this cast lets me be slightly (only slightly) more forgiving toward Supergirl's flaws. Let us know what you think!

Man I loved this show when it was on! I don't really read comics, so this show was my proper intro to a lot of characters like Aqualad or Superboy. It also gave me a certain expectation for Black Canary that Arrow totally failed to even get close to. If they brought the show back, I imagine they would find a way to bring back Wally West (Kid Flash). I mean, he was one of the best characters in the series! In my view, a better and more mature version of teen titans (what with the team of young heroes format.)

George Bernard Shaw was majorly pissed off at that ending too. He even wrote an essay about it, stating that Eliza married Freddy.

Yea I was confused about that too. Like does she have experience writing? What if her article is terrible? At first I thought the newspaper was just going to use her as a PI/researcher but I guess not? In spite his bad behavior and mistakes this season, I too still love Matt best. What can I say? I always love the good guy. And I love that he's not perfect by any means. No one in this series is.
