  1. If anyone wants the remixed version of the theme song, it's here.
  2. There's a good quality Broadway bootleg on youtube
  3. I was under the impression that her character was supposed to be 1/2 chinese and 1/2 hawaiian, not 1/4 of both combined. In that case I'm a little less bothered by it tbh. I've met a lot of part asian, part caucasian people who looked more like Emma Stone than they did me (an full asian person).
  4. With the whole #oscarssowhite stuff going on with the Oscars, Eclipsed with its all black cast and creative team (I heard) is pretty f*cking awesome. That and Hamilton, even On Your Feet! (a mostly/all Latino cast) you could argue Fiddler (Jewish stories!) -- when did theatre become more diverse than Hollywood? Granted it's probably not that high of a bar in the first place. And I'm by no means complaining. Go diversity!
  5. http://deadline.com/2016/03/bridge-of-spies-supporting-actor-winner-mark-rylance-oscar-campaign-1201714271/
  6. I'm of the firm belief that Marvel robbed us viewers when we weren't allowed to see Steve and Peggy reunite (for the first time I suppose)
  7. I too was disappointed that Steve wasn't in her dream! They could have found a body double, covered his face in shadow (or not show his head at all) and had him hold his hand out to her for a dance.
  8. I don't know about the others, but I read that Rose McGowan was in a pretty bad car crash and had injuries to her face which explains the plastic surgery.
  9. I can see Rebecca with all her issues, not realizing (among other things) that her nightmarish mother would rake her over the coals if Rebecca decided marry Josh instead of a Jewish guy. Reality just hasn't settled in for her yet. Sometimes people can be selectively ignorant/oblivious of things, especially someone like Rebecca.
  10. And if it's the right line (Lancome or Dior) it'll help them refine their image too, seem more elegant and classy what with those breathy, softly lit ads
  11. I loved the music too. It took me a second to realize it was the show's theme. I feel like the film could be used at as suicide prevention PSA or something. It was oddly beautiful
  12. I'm originally from LA county (not West Covina) and I was disappointed that they didn't name check my city when Josh was listing a bunch of them :( The Trent and Rebecca interactions were hilarious mostly because they're both cut from same cloth in many ways
  13. http://www.buzzfeed.com/keelyflaherty/morgan-freeman-eating-cookies-on-stage-at-the-oscars-is-all#.xx3MPEVJkL It has been noted and analyzed!
  14. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/02/20/movies/mark-rylance-interview.html?smid=tw-nytimesarts&smtyp=cur&_r=0 In honor of Mark Rylance winning an Oscar, an article about how Stephen Spielberg thinks he "rescued" Rylance from the theatre
  15. Okay I loved Mad Max but how oh how did the Oscar not go to Cinderella? The blue dress alone! Robbed!
  16. Goodbye title! We never wanted you anyway! *sobs*
  17. I'd say she deserved her nominations but I wouldn't have chosen her to win the oscar for SLP
  18. While rewatching Submissions Only for the upteenth time I noticed that David Hull aka White Josh is in the title sequence! I think it might be starting from season 2?
  19. To be fair, I think ALL of Josh's friends have expressed dislike for Valencia. I can't remember which episode but I believed they used a table metaphor to try and get Josh to rethink moving in with her?
  20. Weird but after watching Atonement, I'm mystified why it didn't win for cinematography. Every shot was like a painting. I mean There Will Be Blood was pretty, but it wasn't like this. How did this film not win? (I've figured out how to embed gifs so I've been a bit gif-crazy lately)
  21. Taking the prize has to be Robbie and Cecilia in Atonement. James McAvoy and Keira Knightly are too beautiful as a couple not to end up together!
  22. I go back and forth on whether I would want a WSS film remake. I love the 1961 movie, but there's the pesky white people as Latinos thing. But the magic! The dance! Natalie Wood! Rita Moreno! I can't imagine who could replace them or if they god forbid, modernize it with present day trappings. aradia22 -- I suppose even Stephen Sondheim had his artistic growing pains too!
  23. Somebody pinch me! They actually scrambled back in an important game! Guess Welbz is gonna have one important game changing moment each season. Also Man City -- really?
