  1. I really really hope Aaron Tveit cuts his hair before doing Grease. That longish hair he's got going on right now is not working for me.
  2. I just a saw youtube comment trashing Lesli Margherita for using the word "soundtrack" instead of "cast album/recording." You're not alone!
  3. Conrad Ricamora (Oliver) is currently in the King and I with Kelli O'Hara as Lun Tha. He has a wonderful voice!

  5. Is he? I would assume you have at least graduate from undergrad before going to law school and there's been nothing about Connor being some genius who graduated early, so he should be at least 22/23. The HTGAWM wiki puts his age at 25.
  6. It's kind of crazy now that Eddie Redmayne and Viola Davis, who were the one of the only non-movie-stars to win tonys in 2010 --the season when a bunch hollywood actors were on broadway won all the major tonys (and everyone complained about how that took away from the theater actors who toiled in the theater and that the tonys were just thinking of the money that more movie stars on broadway could bring in). Fast forward to now when both are now big movie stars themselves.
  7. Hells yea. I hate the Phantom but I love Ramin. He did an amzing job with the role, but objectively the Phanom just sucks. I watched the heck out of the vlogs he made for broadway.com while he was in Les Miz. RK was my first Phantom (though the OBR of sarah brightman and michael crawford interested me in the show in the first place). Hadley Fraser was a wonderful Raoul too. Raouls in general don't get enough credit.
  8. This looks like it's not going to be very good, but I do love Santino Fontana so I might just have to watch this.
  9. I just watched the 25th anniversary performance of POTO on netflix (again) and looked up Gerald Butler's Music of the Night for funzies. Medicore as hell especially against Ramin Karimloo's (or any other phantom really)--which should never be the word used to describe the Phantom's voice. Also, am I in the only one who's always been unnerved at the amount of fangirls who are sexually attracted to the Phantom? ETA: Ramin still KILLS it as the Phantom. His Stranger Than You Dreamt It is flawless.
  10. Can you imagine the theater critics if Taylor Swift was singing live in a screaming-fans-less stage eight shows a week? They'd have a field day.
  11. OOOH. Nice one. And Eden Hazard to take the penalty. It'll revitalize his season
  12. This weekend is the PERFECT time for Arsenal to beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. But knowing Arsenal, they'll probably screw it up and let Chelsea win. I predict own goal.
  13. Another term is sung-through musical. Les Miserables is the prime example of course.
  14. The only scenario I can imagine Taylor Swift getting a Tony or Oscar (especially a Tony) is as a songwriter/composer. I mean acting? Forget about it. Singing? Nah. Both at the same time (probably in the case of a Tony)? Absolutely not. She's more likely to get an Oscar, if that makes sense. Writing separate 4 minute tracks on an album is not the same as writing a coherent storyline complete with character development with music. I mean Cyndi Lauper managed it, but that's Cyndi Lauper.
  15. http://www.buzzfeed.com/sydneyscott/joseph-kahn-defends-taylor-swifts-wildest-dreams-video#.no1M27d3YO This might be a better defense from Joseph Kahn.
  16. Both Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotilard are in Assassins Creed. Which is essentially a video game movie. Those aren't exactly the names you would associate with a video game movie. What's the deal there? I mean, is this an indicator that it's going to be good?
  17. Was someone edited out? I remember seeing a chinese name in the opening credits but no such character showed up. To prove I wasn't seeing things, I also saw a little review in a HK magazine that singled her out (because she would have been the only chinese/cantonese person in the movie). She's also on the movie's imdb page. Did I miss something? Oh never mind. http://fusion.net/story/176588/zhang-jingchu-in-mission-impossible-for-30-seconds/
  18. http://www.mtv.com/news/2084071/ed-sheeran-songs/ I didn't know Ed Sheeran had written any 1D songs, let alone four. The songs are very Ed-Sheeran-y. His style surprisingly fits very well with their other songs, even their recent ones
  19. Not modern but It Happened One Night, the modern romantic comedy from which all modern romantic comedies are descended from.
  20. Is Tom Hardy in glasses wearing a fat suit? He looks rounder compared to the other Tom Hardy.
