  1. Well, this isn't promising. Cavill may not be the best actor, but the material didn't do him any favors. It looked like they were finally striking a good balance for Superman in Justice League. Although anything was better than the crap that was BvS.
  2. I think Chad is engaged. Although he and Kelly would be hilarious as a couple. Same. The whole gag dragged out. Issa was teasing that we needed to watch the whole episode, so I knew something was going to happen by the end. I honestly thought Beyoncé was going to cameo.
  3. I was expecting to see Beyoncé, not Lawrence, lol. Tiffany might want to befriend some fellow parents, or join a mommy-to-be group, if she hasn’t already. Her friends just don’t understand what she’s going through, and she feels isolated.
  4. He did! We last saw him showing Turtle Princess (Mrs. Gunther?) how to make popcorn when they were visiting PB and Marceline. Someone told me that adult Sweet P is basically the new Billy, and that’s awesome.
  5. Judging from the farewell tweets and pictures, it looks like Issa’s really done with WGY. The petty side of me would have liked to see Joann’s face when Issa quit. At least Frieda made an effort to help Issa, and I wish Frieda luck. Although she might call it quits as well. Unless Joann listens to reason, WGY is a sinking ship.
  6. That, and I think they just stopped promoting it altogether. I remember some viewers were turned off by the serialization and less adventuring of the show, so they stopped watching. Plus, CC mainly pushes their new shows, except for Steven Universe and TTG. Gumball is also on its last season, although I hear more about it. But I’ve always loved Gumball so that doesn’t bother me. Still, it’s kind of sad. AT was one of the flagship series and most viewers don’t even know the finale is tonight. I myself thought it was just another miniseries until a few hours ago. The “Elements” miniseries wasn’t promoted either, which is why the ratings were so bad.
  7. His daughter's expression...lol!
  8. As much as I was cheering on Issa when she quit, the practical part of me was thinking about her 425 credit score and not having a job lined up. I thought that scene would go one of two ways: either Issa would tell Frieda that they had to incorporate more music into their tutoring somehow, or Issa would call and set up an interview with the other company. But no, she just quit. She really was done with that place. Molly probably spoke to Taurean after hours and picked up some of his work. But if she already made commitments to Stacy and Felicia, she's going to make enemies at this new firm. Nathan's the first guy Issa's liked in a long time that didn't have baggage from her old life with him. It really would be a fresh start for her, and I can see why she felt emboldened to take some of the actions she did. Quitting could backfire on her, but her reasoning makes sense. As someone who's tried to let go of baggage, I give Issa credit for getting rid of all those old mementos and taking charge of her life. It's hard to let go.
  9. Issa needs to run, not walk to The Beat Crew and see about getting a job. She’s reached her limit, and now she’s totally checked out. Five years at WGY just to get demoted? Time to go, girl. I feel bad for Molly. You don’t learn some of those small details until you’re fully immersed in the new place. I think it’s only gonna get worse with Tiffany, because she’s embarking on this huge change that the other girls don’t understand yet. She was annoying and extra before she was pregnant. This episode felt really short.
  10. Not bad, but the end was too sappy. Still, Lily James proves that she really has the it factor. She has a genuine charming and lightness about her, and she brings that to every project she's in. Same. The writing was clearly on the wall when Mark showed up; there may as well been an anvil stating he didn't belong there. But I usually feel bad for the ditched party anyway. I hate that movie cliche; that the one being ditched needs to be the bigger person and step aside. Yeah, sure. Juliet was wise to follow her feelings, but Mark had every right to be angry.
  11. 2 years ago, I had my laptop repaired for viruses, and this “typing in the middle of a previous word” thing has been happening ever since! It’s like the cursor just jumps to a random word and starts typing. It drives me crazy, and I might disable my touchpad because of it.
  12. I think Issa has gone as far as she can go with We Got Y’all. She’s on Joanne’s bad side, she’s been demoted, and now she’s labeled the token employee. I hope the property management position pans out, because she needs to move on and leave WGY behind. In addition to her student loans, Issa might be house poor, so to speak. Rent in CA ain’t no joke. She needs to rethink having a roommate. One that isn’t Daniel. Had no idea she wasn’t paying any rent.
  13. Few things upon rewatch: 1. The scene in the music studio is hilarious and I kept rewinding it. I kinda want a full version of that awful song. 2. I know it's only been 2 weeks since Issa was demoted, but her boss' reaction was really overblown. Issa even used Frieda's phrase of not "rocking the boat." Joanne is probably stressed out because deep down, she knows Issa is right, and they're losing business because of those problems. It didn't help that Frieda clearly agreed with Issa, but she stayed silent the whole time. 3. I'm confused about Dro's marriage with Candace. Is it ok to just have hookups, or actual relationships with other people? Molly's right, they need some boundaries with this, even if she would be ok with being part of an open relationship. I hope they'll go into that a bit more.
  14. I’m glad Molly finally stood her ground with Dro. She was right, too. Their hookups are always at Dro’s convenience. He probably would’ve been mad if Molly had been with some other guy when Dro let himself in that night. Issa will just have to deal with Daniel’s hookups, frankly. She’s staying at his place because he’s safe and reliable. But to her credit, she is learning. Glad she didn’t give in to that moment. Loved the cameos. Erika Alexander, Dawn Richard, etc.
  15. As a kid, I believed Dottie dropped the ball on purpose, and I still believe it now. Dottie was the best player in the league and everyone knew it. What implied it for me were Dottie and Jimmy's reactions after Kit won the whole thing. While they were watching Kit celebrate, Jimmy was also watching Dottie. Before that, Jimmy thought the Peaches were winning the game and it was in the bag. But when they lost and he saw Dottie fondly looking at her sister, I think Jimmy understood what really happened. People was wondering how Dottie could drop the ball, but Jimmy never questioned it. He just started consoling the other players and telling them they had played a good game.
  16. EW enjoyed the season, they gave it an A. Some big changes for s3. Looks like Lawrence isn't returning, at least as a regular. Mixed feelings about that. Issa is right that when relationships end IRL, we don't always keep in contact with the person afterwards. So her chapter with Lawrence appears to be over. But Lawrence was an important person in Issa's life, and the season finale confirmed that she still loved him. And they share certain friends, so it's weird that Lawrence wouldn't be around in some capacity.
  17. Kerry really screwed up, and I say that as someone who liked her. Malucci's hook up in the ambulance bay just proved too convenient a reason for Kerry to fire him. Although, Dr. Greene pointed out that Dave was hardly the first to do that. But Dave had enough negative infractions, which made it worse for him. I wonder if Kerry would have actually gotten more respect if she'd just admitted her part in the mess. Not just to keep the others out of hot water, but for people to acknowledge that she was human. But on the other hand, this was a major mistake, and Kerry played dumb than get dragged along with Chen and Malucci.
  18. Yeah, I watched Swing Kids in school when we were learning about WWII. I remember NW's character being quickly swept up by the Hitler Youth ideology because it looked so impressive and powerful. In turn, he persuaded Christian Bale's character to join.
  19. Not sure if it's been mentioned here, I did a search and nothing came up. There is a For Eyes commercial that takes disgusting to new levels. This woman is at a park eating an ice cream cone when a bird flies by and poops on her hand. The woman has lousy eyesight and mistakes the bird poop for dripping ice cream. You can guess the rest.
  20. Elton John is an interesting point. I wonder if that was part of the Lulu's plan; for Sean to have a persona to go with his talent like Elton John did in the 70s. Maybe to help market him better as a performer? But Sean's persona felt outdated. The colorful capes, the huge embossed names...it just looked tacky. I dunno, that sounds awesome for a college freshman. Dorms are restricted by Resident Advisors and rules. With Sean living off campus, (in a nicely decorated apartment, no less) he can party a lot more. I could see a ton of kids hanging out with him for that reason alone. That said, I hope he actually has made friends.
  21. Smart move to do the Australia episode and the Nailed It! crossover. They producers probably realize that most viewers have binged through these episodes, so these specials (along with interviews) are another way to keep them on the screen while we wait for the next season.
  22. Yeah, stating his episode like that is in poor taste imo, and makes the whole thing seem staged. I know it wasn't but it still looks tacky. ITA with this sentiment. I don't care if they're actors, or act on the side, whatever. Get help if you need it, regardless of profession. But I get why that feels fake. As for the shampoo, doesn't sodium lauryl sulfate help the shampoo to lather? At any rate, I use medicated shampoo (Ketoconazole) as well as an extra moisturizing shampoo because my hair is very dry. Both have SLS, I'm sure. But I'm not switching because it took me too long to find something that works for my hair anyway.
  23. This show loves to surprise, so when it comes to the flashforward, I don't think it's about Beth or Deja at all. I think it's about Annie. Logically, it would make sense if it was Beth suffering from an illness or something age related (even though she won't be that old by the flashforward), or if Deja was in prison, judging from her vandalism of the car. But that's why I think it won't go that way. It's too predictable. Whenever it looks like they're following a certain plot, the writing takes a sharp left to a different direction and leaves everyone guessing. Look at Jack's death. Everyone thought he'd perish in the fire, rather than die from smoke-related complications. Also, I think there's a reason we know so little about Annie at this time, other than that she's adorable and an utter delight to be around.
  24. Welp, so much for holding out, lol. Tammye is still the best, though. I've seen that one a few times. I felt bad for Arian. At first it looked like he was lying out of laziness, but later on, it seemed more like he was genuinely depressed. Especially when you consider how he used to be: a (mostly) hardworking student, dressing well and actually caring about himself. But after the college fiasco, he's job hopping, smoking, playing video games all day...eesh. I've definitely been there. He was clearly unhappy about his life and not living up to his parents' expectations. And regardless of age, it's easy to deflect blame or just ignore the problem when it seems insurmountable. Lying wasn't a game, it was a defense mechanism. In the end, you could tell his mother was unhappy, but at least she knows the truth now. Him cooking with Antony was probably the most surprising part. One of the few times that they've given Antony a real dish to prepare. I don't think Arian was bullshitting, but rather insecure that he actually knew more about cooking then he realized. However, this may be the first time I disagreed with Johnathan. I preferred stubble to clean shaven in Ari's case. He already had a baby face, the stubble made him look older in a good way. The stories about the heroes aren't always accurate. Neal Reddi is an actor too; I saw his profile on IMDB. So I'm not surprised that William acts as well. I noticed this, too. I thought they only censored network shows. I definitely remember some f bombs from the first season. All this cracked me up. Tan slowly receding into the closet should be a meme. And I'm wondering how Antony is going to pay Keramo back for eating that revolting concoction. Chocolate syrup and spray cheese, ugh. Someone on twitter called it an "IBS wrap".
  25. Glad this is back. I can easily binge the whole season, but I'm trying to save some of it for later. They really know how to sell a premiere. I loved Tammye and want all the best things for her. She really is the epitome of compassion. I would be open to them having more women as the heroes. Like there was any question of Myles joining the gay chorus, but it would be nice to get an update on how he's doing. Was also interesting how the Fab 5 opened up around Tammye. I've seen them tear up around the heroes, but Antoni was really emotional in this episode. Notice how he also started crying when he mentioned that parents aren't always accepting of their children. He could be talking about someone he knows, or his own personal experiences. Poor guy. I really liked how they didn't wrap things up in a bow for Bobby. When it comes to homosexuality and the church, I can believe there are more experiences like Bobby's than Keramo's. The fact that Bobby couldn't even set foot in the church said a lot. So it's good that he didn't just casually walk in the door at the end like everything was fine. He's working at letting go of his resentment, and that will take time. Jonathan seems toned down a bit. Maybe it was his look. The braided back hair was really sweet, and up close, you can tell he takes care of it. I read that he hurt his foot in the fireman episode, and sure enough, you can see a bandage on his toe, lol. Tan looked extra dapper escorting Tammye to the homecoming party. Seriously, the man can wear a suit.
