  1. Richard Jenkins will always have a place in my heart because of “The Visitor.” Mary J Blige looks very pretty. Love the way her dress flows. I feel like Allison Williams, Elizabeth Moss, and Gina Rodriguez all wore variations of the same dress, but only Allison is pulling it off. Wow, Tiffany Haddish went all out! I think she looks good.
  2. Allison Williams is being interviewed on ABC. I would love her dress if it was in a real color instead of dishwater and her hair is a bit too dark. Woman in yellow is Eiza Gonzalez. Still don’t know who she is or what she’s done, though. Edit: Nvm, she’s from Baby Driver.
  3. Ashley Judd looks great. Her dress looks more classic than basic. Love the color. Not loving Rita Moreno’s dress, even with the symbolism. Looks like something is propping it up, a petticoat? Who is the woman in yellow they keep focusing on?
  4. Betty Gabriel looks gorgeous. Her hair, dress, and makeup are beautiful. Only thing I would change: just a bit too much cleavage. She’s got a great bustline, just a little too much showing.
  5. Finally saw it and it was everything I hoped for and more. I've been avoiding interviews and clips (saw way too much of that for Thor Ragnarok) so I wanted to be surprised. Honestly, this was amazing. I admit, I was prepared to be disappointed, but this film deserves every ounce of hype it gets. The acting, the scenery, the plot...all of it delivered. The characterization was on point. Okoye was straight up insane with her fighting skills. 100% badass. I had to keep myself in my seat to keep from cheering whenever she showed up. The girl actually snatched her own wig! Shuri...what can I say? Utterly adorable and brilliant. She fits the little sister to a T. I can't wait for her to meet Tony. Erik is probably the best villain since Loki. His final words were tragic. And as awful as his plan was, there some real truth to the logic. He's witnessed his own share of death and destruction and is ready to dish it out. What I loved was that no one was completely evil or good. M'Baku failed in the challenge, but ultimately showed that he had real honor and decency in helping T'Challa. W'Kabi was willing to put down his sword because he didn't want to fight his beloved. Even Ross started out as a self serving asshole and ended up helping the Wakandans. And so on. If there are any criticisms, I have two. For one, I thought the romance between T'Challa and Nakia was half baked. I would have believed them more as people who had just met and liked each other, rather than exes. And secondly, I thought Erik burning down all the plants was pretty dumb. What if he had kids someday and would want one of them to become the next Black Panther? Loved all of this movie, just can't put everything here. I'm so glad that Black Panther ended up being fantastic, and I look forward to the next one. Definitely seeing this one again.
  6. I thought it was great. The intro really packed a punch. If you didn't know it was Robbin Season, you know it now. Katt Williams was hilarious, but his quiet moments were good, too. Loved the alligator actually showing up. Makes sense why it was in the promos now. I don't think it was mentioned in the finale, because I don't remember it either. Last I checked, Paper Boi and Darius were still friends. As for Earn not staying, maybe it's a matter of pride, or he feels he's not welcome. I think PB has become more successful since last season.
  7. I love cake donuts, especially chocolate. The only glazed kind I like are KK, but the one near my house closed. :( Dunkin’ Donuts has a great new flavor called white chocolate mocha. I’ll take that over any of the Girl Scout flavors. I tried V8 recently and hated it. It tasted like cold tomato soup. Actually considered heating it up and adding some herbs to make more palatable. I’m guessing it’s an acquired taste?
  8. Blanche has always been the punching bag of the Bellacourt estate, but seeing her dragged off to the asylum again after losing Murray wasn't funny. Poor woman can't catch a break. Although Alfred and Victor are funny, their plotlines are usually the weakest. Only one I liked was when they were trying to live together and arguing about what to have for dinner. They're not gonna follow up with the Peepers plot from last week? Or Flobelle trying to be in charge?
  9. Randall once said that despite hearing how difficult things would be as an adult, they ended up being pretty easy, including having children. And later, he told Beth that their girls were good and would remain that way simply because their parents had raised them well, or something like that. Obviously Randall is grandiose and doesn't speak for everyone, but I have never heard anyone say that raising kids is easy. Ever. If anything, I hear the opposite. So I find it amusing that he's finally experiencing some difficulties with parenting. I'm OK with bachelor/bachelorette parties, but what I don't get is why people have these the night before their wedding. Especially if they're going to somewhere like Vegas to get drunk and act a fool. Only to go to your wedding the next day, while you're completely hungover, and possibly broke? Forget that. Do the party a week before your wedding and give yourself time to rest and sober up.
  10. I was also put off by Randall and Beth arguing at the party, because the whole reason they were in Vegas was to celebrate Kate and Toby's union. So I get Kate butting in, but it only made things worse. That said, I saw it as Beth and Kate voicing things that had been bothering them a long time. Kate is already intimidated by Beth, and was upset that Randall would put Beth above his sister. Beth mentioned that this wasn't a situation to involve "the Big Three," it was just between her and Randall. It's been said before that it's easy to feel left out of the Pearson family when you're not actually one of them, and I think Beth just blurted that out in frustration.
  11. Not a bad return, but was rolling my eyes through a lot of it. With the exception of the lights in the bedroom and the meteor shower, I found the anniversary stuff to be really saccharine. Nothing wrong with a quiet anniversary, like Rebecca actually asked for. And Jack thought he was slick, egging on his kids to go through with it. All I envisioned was a mess for Rebecca to clean up. But Jack is God's Gift to Marriage, so whatever. Wanted to say the same thing to Randall, who behaved like a complete ass. Does he really think that a night out of partying means that Beth didn't care about Deja? And frankly, she voiced what everyone's been saying for weeks: that Randall's impulsiveness and anxiety might be endearing, but it's also a pain in the ass. Lyric Ross does such a great job with Deja, but this foster story has gone on too long. It's sad that Beth isn't happy about her job. I'm wondering if she wants to do more charitable things? Interesting how the Pearson kids don't seem to have any friends, although Kate had a few girls from her support group. Of course we didn't meet any of them, so I guess they were Kate's "filler." Apparently, every poor bastard who works in customer service is meant to hear the story of the Pearson family. The tragedy, the joys, and the angst. Or parts of it. At least the maid got $100 out of it. Glad Kevin didn't relapse.
  12. Thank you! My clothes are looking really dingy and I think I might give it a try.
  13. Last night was a good example of that. I thought the Italian subplot was hilarious, but it had no real resolution in the end. Was the sauce magical? Do the Smiths have some weird distraction with spaghetti sauces?
  14. Surprised that I haven’t seen this one mentioned here: Oxyclean. The commercials for this one are definitely tempting. Any fans?
  15. I think this season is miles better than last year. The show still suffers from having such a large cast, so certain characters are missing from entire episodes, or only shown for a minute or two. Still, it is a bit of a mixed bag. Séance and Houdini were awful episodes, but the last two were pretty funny.
  16. As someone who gets intimidated by the gym, I really like this commercial:
  17. The Symbicort commercials with the grandfather confuse me. At least when it gets to the Big Bad Wolf parts. The Big Bad Wolf is still the villain in this story, so it feels weird that we're supposed to cheer him on. Once he takes a hit off that inhaler and feels better, we know what's coming, right? It's funny when he's all out of breath, and the 3 Little Pigs so look so relieved and pop their little heads out of the windows. I can't blame them! This asshole is trying to blow down their house!
  18. I thought the deleted scene was hilarious, but a lot of comments on YT suggested it was too out there. I liked Bruce just hanging out with Thor and talking about their respective fathers. The Grandmaster being creepy with the tentacles, assuming that's what they were. Nice physical comedy with Ruffalo with the noodles/serpent. There's also another deleted scene with the Grandmaster as Daryl's new roommate, but it wasn't as funny as the first. TBH, it annoys me that the Daryl roommate scenes don't line up with the actual movie at all. According to that, Bruce was hanging out in Australia with Thor, yet the movie states that Bruce had been missing since the events in Ultron. Thor has a whole map of the Infinity Stones in his flat, yet they don't get a single mention in the film. Fury's involvement is mentioned, but he doesn't make a single appearance.
  19. That is the cutest stampede ever. I’m so glad they’re airing this commercial again.
  20. IA, it's one reason I don't go as much anymore. Panera used to be a big deal in my house, lol. Fresh food, nice staff, and it wasn't the normal fast food type items. So the pricing felt fair for what I was getting. But now, the long waits, errors in orders, constantly switching up the menu, and the decreasing quality of the food mean the price matters to me now, because the food no longer seems worth it. I once paid $16 for a pick two meal, a pop, and a coffee. I was reading at the restaurant, and I didn't want to just sit there, so I got a coffee as well. Never again. One night out there will put a dent in your wallet. As for the wait time, the staff is still very nice, but it takes forever for even a small order. Now they have a staff member yelling out orders at the pickup line, because they're so backed up and there's a long line of dishes waiting. Millennium, sorry for your terrible experience at Dunkin Donuts. I'm more troubled by the corporate's apathy than the manager's. These people at the stores are representing the brand, so the whole "we can't do anything about that" just makes me mad. But I think lack of CSR training is a DD thing. I would understand in the early morning when it's insanely busy, but this happens all the time. The one near me usually screws up with my coffee. I often get plain instead of whatever creamer I requested, or they'll throw the donuts in a bag and the icing will be smeared on the bottom, instead of on the donut itself. I finally had to start asking for them to place them on top of each other, or just wrap them in tissue paper. Co-sign with these Extra gum commercials. Extra, indeed. I have a feeling they blew their ad budget on this campaign, because it's been running nonstop and I am sick of this twee love affair and these stupid gum-wrapper drawings.
  21. Wow, he's supposed to be 90 by the funeral? I didn't realize he was playing his age during the flashback scenes.
  22. McRaney is 70; he has more wrinkles than I'm used to, but I don't think he looks excessively older or anything. Then again, I remember him from Major Dad, which aired in the (cough, cough) 90s. Maybe the cane makes him seem older?
  23. Although I fell for Jack's speech hook, line, and sinker, it would have been pretty funny if the salesman didn't. He could have just rolled his eyes and said "Man, whatever. Come back when you have some real money."
