  1. This Is Us to (likely) end after season 6. I think this is smart assuming they actually do it. More TV shows are setting end dates, so it gives them time to wrap up everything.
  2. Yeah, I was expecting him to be visibly ill, but he was totally fine. Nice to see Mohinder Suresh on my TV again. I don't know if he and Sharpe will make it, but they're cute together. Kapoor stepped in it, but I think he's right about his son. Was Iggy actually clearing Bloom to work when he didn't believe her? What if she'd tried to treat somebody else before she miraculously came to her senses? Given that Bloom has been such a mess for so long, I'm not surprised that other doctors and nurses were complaining about her. That had to be a shock, but it had to be done.
  3. Rebecca probably would have been fine meeting Nicky that one time and not seeing him again, even with the memories he has of Jack. But now she's doing this for Kevin. Rebecca knows Kevin didn't get much attention from her and Jack when he was a child, and Rebecca didn't take any interest in Kevin as an adult, now she's trying to make up for lost time. So Rebecca went and delivered that speech to Nicky because this is so important to Kevin. I'm glad Nicky said "I used to be a person," rather than a Pearson. It's nice to think of these people having dreams and ambitions that aren't related to their families.
  4. She could have been more polite, but I still don't blame her for closing the door on them.
  5. I actually didn't mind Kate and Randall leaving, because they annoy me anyway. Couldn't blame the woman for shutting the door in their faces, either. Plenty of people don't open their home to strangers. Funny how we got that family's little backstory just to learn they lived at the old Pearson residence. Or lot, anyway. Kevin wasn't wrong about what he said to Randall, even if he wasn't nice about it. And I say this as someone who felt Randall should put his wife and kids first. I understand Nicky feeling overwhelmed. It's a lot to learn in the span of two days. But I actually thought Nicky was still going to kill himself once Kevin left the trailer. The stuff about him going to meetings didn't seem true, and it seemed like he just wanted Kevin to leave.

    Disney Films

I think there's room for both versions of TJB. I loved the Disney version, but the Netflix one wasn't bad. Solid voice acting and some would prefer the darker tone vs the upbeat Disney type. You could tell they took some of the human features of the voice actors and shaped them into the faces, especially Peter Mullan. Not a bad choice, except for Benedict Cumberbatch. He's already alien looking, and morphing that in, along with an oddly large head made Shere Khan look creepy. Disney won that one, with visual and voice acting. Idris Elba's was better.
  7. Seriously. No one is trying to swipe an old sink. It likely ended up in the dumpster along with a bunch of other stuff. The article said that Ruiz noticed some of the original fixtures were getting trashed, so there you go. The end result was too much. The heavy ass wooden door for a freaking pantry, the unnecessary chicken coop, that massive addition...they reached too far with this one. As for the article, I can imagine this happens a lot with these flipping shows. Constant construction, film crews, needless updating...I would be annoyed too. And since these shows run on a deadline, the commotion is non stop and doesn't die down for weeks, so the neighbors get angrier. It's one reason why homeowners do renos in parts instead of all at once. I feel bad for these neighbors in particular, because that stupid addition probably drives down the property values of their own homes. If it's blocking sunlight and sticks out like a sore thumb...yikes.
  8. Elevator operator and NFL 50 were my faves. I think the NFL one was the best of the night. I didn’t even know who half of the players were, and still loved the commercial, lol. It was just so much fun to watch, and you could tell they were having a blast while filming it.
  9. A bad case of “tell, don’t show.” Viewers already know chunky milk is bad, we don’t need to see people choking it down.
  10. This show definitely deserves more attention than it's getting. That episode was spot on, from the discussion on "women's tones" to the insanely high AC in the offices. And Matt killed me wearing the makeup and slowly becoming obsessed.
  11. I hate that they’re ramping up the visuals on these ads. There’s one for psoriasis that shows vines growing all over the body. It makes my skin crawl and all I want to do is change the channel. I have eczema myself, and it sucks. But you can sympathize without wanting to scratch yourself silly.
  12. I just saw it and it was hilarious. The “just give up” song had me wheezing!
  13. There were no real winners here. Nicky was right that Jack effectively created a new life for himself and shut off any parts of his past, namely, his family. But it was black and white, and it makes sense that Nicky thinks so. He's been holed up in a miserable trailer for years, with only his guilt. His niece and nephews would never know their uncle. I can't imagine how painful that realization must be. Despite that, I can see why Jack reacted the way he did. Whether or not he knew the truth, an innocent child died because of Nicky. And even if Jack had listened to Nicky or read his letters, would he have been satisfied with the truth? He spent all of his time in Vietnam trying to look out for his brother. The explosion was the last straw. All the apologies in the world wouldn't bring Lahn back. Sadly, I think Kate annoys me so much that even when she has a good moment, it just comes off as smug. Nicky could have just told them to gtfo or he'd call the cops, but of course that wouldn't be as poignant.
  14. Yeah, I don't even know who to call what at this point. I still need to watch this show from the beginning. Still a great episode, though. I liked seeing all the actors in the credits instead of the regulars. Took me a moment to figure it out. So to get this straight, Ranier Prime lives because Mira notices him having the seizure much earlier, since she didn't have the tape to listen to. Is that right? The ending was sad, seeing the pairs walk off wordlessly, knowing they had been good friends. Juma in particular, who couldn't even get a handshake from his other. It makes sense since they no longer trusted each other. But it was still sad.
  15. I wish it wasn't meant to be a reboot. At least O8 could stand on its own as a decent film, but in the shadow of its predecessors, it doesn't hold up. And the last version was already a reboot. The problem is that the characters had plenty of cool, but none of the charm. The social interactions are part of why the last films worked so well, and there's very little in this one. The only ones who are really fleshed out were Debbie, Tammy, and Rose (and only a little). I did love Lou's green suit, though. Cate had the swag to pull it off. There were a lot of moving parts to the heist that hinged on luck, but I guess Debbie had plenty of time in jail to plan this thing out. But two things that stood out too much to ignore: 1. The magnet on the necklace. What a stupid thing to introduce, because as complicated as it was, it's solved way too easily. The purpose of the magnet was additional security. Nine Ball's sister making a duplicate wasn't the issue, it's that the necklace wouldn't have fallen off in the first place. It was designed to stay put. Unless Daphne was being pawed by numerous people while she was rushing to the bathroom, that necklace wasn't going anywhere. And Tammy just happens to find it in the fountain later? That alone would have her pulled aside for questioning, no matter Daphne said. But as luck would have it, Daphne was clued in on the heist and covered for them all. 2. The investigator. This was a waste of time. He already had a friendly relationship with the Ocean family and didn't want Debbie to get arrested. And since he was aware that Becker had set up Debbie in the first place, he turned a blind eye to the rest of it. But why weren't the police investigating this? A well-known thief is present at an event where a $150 million dollar necklace goes missing, and the case is just left to one random jewelry investigator? Again, dumb luck. IA. I don't know if her acting was better, but she was more livened up, which made her more interesting. The rest were just blank slates.
  16. That kid made it through a treacly Pearson monologue, complete with dead father, pregnancy, and a burned down house. He deserved to keep the collectibles. I feel bad, but Kate's stunned look at the end just had me laughing. She really thought he would buy that manipulative crap. Damn, we were so close to being done with this political mess. I hated Beth apologizing to Randall and I hate that this stupid plot is going to continue. I did like the stadium Toby built for Kate. It felt like a nice blend of old and new.
  17. IA. You could tell she wanted the house to stand out, but I thought the white was too stark. I absolutely love the two flats featured on the show. I really wish they were available in other parts of the state other than Chicago.
  18. I was a little surprised that Kevin wasn’t brought up at all. He couldn’t have been happy about Holt just skipping town like that. Otherwise, great episode. Jake and Amy’s sexy cosplay was perfect. Holt’s tank tops were hilarious. Watch NBC or someone market the pineapple slut tank, and I would definitely get one. Welcome back, B99!
  19. This was a great episode, I was losing it near the end. I really need to watch this show from the beginning though. I knew the cracks were showing with Howard Alpha. The way he snaps at Emily, and now Brody, the guy in the containment room. People who know you well can pick up on subtle changes and details in personality. Even if Howard Prime were bored senseless by the story Brody was telling, he would never tell someone off like that. I did feel for Peter, Alpha and Prime. Both versions are hapless losers, but they go about it in different ways. Peter Alpha is so mentally damaged that believes a childish temper tantrum ruined a soccer game and somehow warped the timeline. Peter Prime finally runs out of luck (or so he thinks) and would take his own life. I don't think his call to Clare was a ruse, I think he does love her, even knowing she's not the real Clare. And they showed him looking at a picture of himself and baby Spencer. Naya is a great addition. She's smart without giving herself away. Glad she caught on to Peter, even if it wasn't the way she thought she would. Are there no security cameras in that building? Even with Milla having access, no one saw anything on a camera? Still confused on Milla, though. I get that she was the asset sent into take out Lambert, but why did she kill herself and give Peter a backstory? I'm fine with replacing Baldwin with Mira as a baddie. I'm not sure what the point of Baldwin is anymore.
  20. I didn't think Olivia was going to win and I'm so glad she did! The Favourite is one of the few movies I want to see.
  21. Not to mention Viggo dropping the n-bomb during an interview and saying it was ok, because the was discussing the film when he did it. Idiot. Maya and Amy were funny, but I thought the ring joke was dumb. I was ready for them to leave.
  22. I thought it was really nice to focus on fellow comedic actors, as well. Regina has come such a long way from 227. I'm so happy for her.
  23. Danai had to pause and let Gaga go before she could go to the podium, because that stupid train was in the way. What did Patricia say that was bleeped?
  24. I was rooting for Billy or Matthew, but Richard did give a nice speech. And that gray streak is really working for him. Don't think he was shown on the red carpet, but Billy was wearing this stunning cape over his suit. It really should have been featured among all the blah and hot messes on the carpet. Nostalgia is a helluva drug, because I'm loving this Walmart commercial.
