I saw it, but the only thing that stands out to me to comment on is that Gil made a cool bike rack out of a big log. Honestly, that's all that stood out to me, besides Lawson's terrible singing..again. It was so boring I kind of zoned out..

All Episodes Talk: Let’s Talk About Dr Phil the Show
ChiCricket replied to Lola16's topic in Dr. Phil
It's people like this couple that end up in news stories like this: http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/crime-and-courts/police-looking-at-possible-connection-between-deadly-glen-carbon-fire/article_f87ce8cc-aebc-5026-8ded-4ecde9b0bb9e.html I could see the couple on Dr. Phil ending up like this.....and it's always the kids who suffer :( Ps The 7 kids in this story escaped, and are OK, including the newborn -
I have DISH. just watched episode 2 tonight, but I'm not sure when it recorded. Unfortunately I already deleted it, so I can't check when it was on. But it's already on Dish On Demand, if that helps. :)

For Peete's Sake - General Discussion

Holly enlists Rodney to help figure out a way to talk to Ryan and the boys about sexual consent. In an attempt to 'be normal', RJ posts inappropriate things to social media. -

Thanks @GeeGolly. I echo hoping everyone going through a hard time gets better luck, very, very SOON. I hit the heart when someone posts something unhappy, just to show I've read it, and sympathize, but I'm usually too lazy to post a reply. (Just being honest) Illinois is *supposed* to get hit with a bunch of snow around 10 pm, but I'll believe it when I see it. It's been a very very snow less winter here. I actually like snow (well, I like to watch it, not to actually shovel it or drive in it) ;-)

I agree, the stuff with WW makes me much more leary of posting anything personal. I know I believed that WW stuff 100%..until she posted a pic that was too perfect. I said all that to say this: Today is my husband and my 48th wedding anniversary. I got married at age 16 (take a guess why...LOL) They said it wouldn't last, but it did. (I'm stubborn like that) Just felt like sharing something happy :)

I've always been interested in how different English spoken in different places is. From country to country, to state to state, there are big differences. (Actually, I speak Spanish fluently, and there's a lot of differences between countries in that language too.) Anyhow, you all got me wondering WHY a horse's blunt cut tail was called a bang-tail, and found this: http://www.grammarphobia.com/blog/2011/04/bangs.html "Why did “bang” mean bluntly cut? Both Green’s and the OED indicate that since the late 1500s the verb “bang” has meant to hit or thump, and the noun “bang” has meant a blow or a thump. And “bang” has been used adverbially since the late 18th century, the OED says, to mean “all of a sudden,” or “suddenly and abruptly, all at once, as in ‘to cut a thing bang off.’ ” Since the bangs on a person’s forehead, like a horse’s banged tail, end abruptly—you might say with a “bang!”—perhaps the word is simply a case of creative English."

So when she received a hateful letter in the mail, Thore felt prompted to do something positive.

I've been trying to think of someone else whose posts I enjoyed, but I haven't seen posting anymore. The name finally just popped into my head. Wellfleet. I mean it's just odd (to me) when someone just disappears. I think I'm still traumatized from an email loop I used to belong to of Beanie Baby Collectors (don't judge...LOL.) We emailed each other daily, for YEARS, always including all the other members (this is why it was called a loop.) We had conventions where we met a lot of the loop in person. Then all of a sudden, one of the members just completely disappeared from the loop. We never knew if she just decided to abruptly quit, or if she had died or something. It still gives me an unsettled, I need closure kind of feeling. (I obviously need help, I still even remember her email address, and this was years ago) :-) PS that loop died along with the beanie baby craze, but I'm still friends on Facebook with people from all over the country that were in "The Original Beanie Baby Loop." (Sorry, I'm very blabby today, think the gloomy days are getting to me..come ON, Spring)

For Peete's Sake - General Discussion
ChiCricket replied to FormerMod-a1's topic in For Peete's Sake
Ok, I don't think I could let people put a person's ashes in MY back yard. I think I saw The Poltergeist Movie at far too young of age, and it scared me to death. I'd be afraid my yard would be haunted afterward! -

"mash" on her belly? Is that the medical term? ;-) (just teasing, my Southern friend says mash like that too) :-)

Whoa..those little boys started the house fire?! Scary :( I'm sure they really got in more trouble than it appeared on the show.
