  1. After watching that last video I have come to the conclusion that these two are much too stupid to be parents. I can't even imagine how they will keep Layla from getting injured once she is mobile. They don't have enough focus to constantly keep watch over her.
  2. I never understood the need for the Sunday photos even before the quarantine. I guess she just wanted to show off the clothes. But yes, no matching outfits today. Maybe her "friend" can't do it anymore.
  3. In earlier seasons even if one character had the week "off" they always were present at Sunday dinner. I think the show needs to return to that model. Next week is the season finale. Wonder if we will get a longer season next year due to missing episodes? I am assuming there isn't much threat of cancellation given that there aren't many pilots available.
  4. Agreed! I feel like some of the storylines seem to have a rushed ending. Take last night for example. Frank's and Erin's storylines were fine, but Danny's and Jamie's were rushed. It felt like there were missing pieces. I wonder if the 4 storyline model came to be because of contract negotiations.
  5. The yucky stained carpet is gone! It looks nice but I noticed that the box spring is not covered. You can see the brown. I know not everyone likes bed skirts but she could have covered the box spring with a white sheet. To be fair, they may have had a tight budget. And maybe they liked the wall colour. I would have changed the sink but maybe it was too pricey or plumbing is not his strong suit, although HVAC work usually involves some plumbing skill. As long as they are happy with it that’s all that matters.
  6. Update: Although my audition was cancelled I had a Zoom interview a couple of weeks ago. I can't go into details, I should find out in a few weeks if I still qualify for an in-person audition when they resume.
  7. Looks like episodes 18 and 19 will air April 24 and May 1. After that who knows?
  8. And let's not forget that oncologists start out as internal medicine residents and then do a 2-3 year fellowship after residency. So even more training is involved.
  9. My understanding is that the staging furniture is available to the homeowners at a discount. I think a lot of it comes from a local furniture store. A lot of the smaller decorative items come from Ben and Erin's store. Anything that is made specifically for the show- furniture, paintings, curtains, and so on stays. If Erin uses the homeowners' own things they usually mention it- in the episode with the single pastor they did use a lot of his own furniture. They always do HVAC work if needed, but they just don't show it because there is only so much than can show in an hour. As far as the rooms go, they do as many as they can with the budget they have. Sometimes that includes a bedroom and bath, sometimes it doesn't.
  10. I think Jill has it backwards. There was a birthday parade in our neighbourhood on Friday. Everyone drove past the little girl who was sitting in her front yard. Some of the cars were decorated, and some people, relatives and friends who would have been invited to the cancelled party, I assume, dropped off gifts.
  11. I wonder if Gil gets some sort of salary from the IBLP board. Between that and the UP money they would be doing ok. Of course, I doubt they have much , if any money put away like Jim Bob does, but they do have fewer kids at home to support these days. My guess is the older single guys probably make enough money working for Chad, etc, to at least pay for their own clothes, gas, and various trips they take.
  12. It seems that Laurel itself was spared but the town just north of them, Soso, was hit.
  13. Maybe Carlin got the makeup comped? Alyssa has done tutorials and she uses high end brands too, but Erin makes a point of saying she uses drugstore brands. I still can't figure out how some of the couples make ends meet. Kelton is a plumber and Josie was starting a business before the pandemic- I guess they are ok. John Webster is an HVAC technician so he probably makes enough to support the family. Zach is probably the best off financially in law enforcement, plus he gets benefits. But Chad and Erin, Carlin and Evan, and Tori and Bobby? I wonder if the Sisters' Boutique brings in any real help for them, because I doubt those guys earn a ton of cash.
  14. Don't forget the signs that say "Gather" ,"Blessed" and so on... 😉 When I lived in the Allentown, PA area, my neighbor called it a bedroom "suit" too.
  15. Jeremy is using too much product so his hair looks greasy. That said, I think he looks better with longer hair. I am really not a fan of the fade haircut the younger guys are all wearing these days.
  16. Just saw a post on Instagram. Next week's new episode airs at 8/7central. Then 5 weeks off and thy return on May 25th.
  17. Does anyone know how many episodes short the season will be? I see that there will be another episode (#20) on the 16th, but can't find anything after that.
  18. As always, they did a beautiful job last night. I did really like the back splash tile and the built in china cabinet. However, the dining room wallpaper was too busy for my liking. Between the kitchen cabinets and the built in bookcase in the den there was just too much blue for my taste. Erin tweeted and posted on Instagram about the next new episode being on May 25. But during the show there was a pop-up that said there was an all new episode next week. I guess I will just have to tune in to see what happens. ETA: I watched the Erin'spired video about this episode, and she did say that the homeowner loved blue and white. So she definitely was giving her what she wanted.
  19. Sad news: John Combe, the "Belize Guy" died on Saturday. He was only 70. Erin did not say if it was Covid related. Tonight is the last new episode until May 25, when Home Town will return for the last 3 episodes of the season.
  20. Jennifer still wearing her rag bag dress. Where are Jason and Jeremiah? Aren't they still at home?
  21. But they were already divorced when the show started, right?
  22. I am Canadian and I didn't know we had a Four Corners. To be fair, Nunavut has only been around since 1999, when the Northwest Territories were split into 2 entities. But I knew it had to be Manitoba as opposed to Alberta which is too far west.
  23. Honestly, how could anyone miss that amount of damage? That inspector needs to lose his/her license. I would think the homeowner is owed some sort of compensation for an omission of that magnitude. Yes, Ben was angry. The homeowner did not seem very concerned, all things considered. I am definitely going to watch the episode again when it is available on demand.
  24. Thanks, @CrazyInAlabama. I thought there was talk of skirting, but my tv volume was on low. I have my son and his family staying with us for the duration, and I didn't want to wake the 18-month-old.
