One of the two Shannon's charges was dropped, the hit and run (she crashed into a house, and fled the scene, but stopped, and parked in the middle of the road neaby, perhaps because she broke her wrist). PR representation is important. Some celebrities are clueless regarding how to act, and what to say. Karen is an example. The accident happened a few weeks before filming started. She should have received advice before if she wanted to participate. She completed an outpatient 28-day behavioral wellness program with an alcohol component. It could be 5 or 10 years from now but he will need care and Karen doesn't want to sit around with him now and she's not going to want to sit around with him when he needs care. Karen's parents weren't in their 90s, they were in their early 70s when they died. Her parents and Ray were the same age, by the way. If her parents were still alive, they would still be in their late 70s. You don't need to be in your 90s to come down with Alzheimers or dementia; both B. Smith and Bruce Willis were diagnosed in their 60s. We didn't hear about the caretaking of Karen's parents because she wasn't the one caretaking the parents, her sister was. It's no shade to Karen because most people are not mentally, physically or emotionally equipped to be a caretaker. That's why they leave it up to another family member or a facility. And the family member who ends up being the caretaker is usually the oldest daughter or the unmarried daughter. It is what it is. We don't know what Ray is like behind closed doors but what we do know is when Karen had her crash, he was right there at the scene trying to help her out. I wonder if the new soap opera "Beyond the Gates" will edit out Karen's cameo appearance? NowVoyager January 10 Share January 10 Wow....!!! I had heard rumors on the internet streets that it was in fact Karen's 4th DUI. I didn't believe it until I heard it from Charisse's mouth. I believe Charisse that Karen had 2 DUIs essentially wiped off her record, that the first DUI occurred before her parents passed; and Charisse made an excellent point that these were only the times that Karen was caught driving while intoxicated. I am not going to shade Karen for going to rehab. I truly hope she gets something out of it. I just wish Karen had humbled herself to go to rehab sooner; shortly after viewing that police body camera footage with her attorney. Had she done so, she could have spared herself the embarrassment. pasdetrois January 10 Share January 10 (edited) The Daily Mail quotes an insider as saying Karen cannot return to RHOP until she cleans up her act. Buried in the story are reports that Ray coached Karen to lie to the police during the investigation at the scene: "Someone ran you off the road" and "You only had a couple of beers." Ray wasn't there during the accident, and I'm pretty sure neither is true. That's impeding the investigation, and enabling. I think Karen will serve some time - say a weekend - and be required to stay sober, attend AA, perhaps do community service, and have a breathalyzer installed on her vehicles.
