That's strange. At the end of 2021 she signed a multiyear agreement with FN for "at least" two more seasons of WCIA. I wonder if she'll be yet another female star to disappear from the network.

Antonia is OK but she has been on so many of Guy's shows I am on overload with her already. I haven't watched this show in at least 3 seasons anyway.

There have been two cycles of Worst Cooks since 2021. She seems to have fulfilled her contract. She seemed to be backing away from FN for the past few years, first leaving BBQ Brawl, then guesting on BBF. 

Just wondering, does Rock Shrimp also produce Worst Cooks? Could this be a beef with Flay that she would never win?

We don't know if she backed away or was pushed out. Over the past few years a few of the older female stars have been disappearing from the network like Rachael, Giada and Valerie Bertinelli, who has hinted that it was not her choice to cancel her show or be removed from Kid's Baking Championship. Rachael ended her talk show in 2023 and has turned up on A&E with cooking and decorating shows so it's not like she didn't want to do more cooking shows. Giada seems to have left voluntarily after being "burned out" by so many decades on FN. But who knows what the truth is?

Rachael did go back to FN about 5 years ago and did a short season of 30 MM. I think she left there of her own accord, devoting the bulk of her time building the talk show (which I hated). The A&E specials started at the end of the talk show's run, and she seems firmly entrenched there now. 

I do agree about Valerie being forced out and Giada leaving voluntarily.

There's a lot in the above article but it doesn't say why Anne is out.

I thought I watched reality shows but I've heard of only a half dozen of the ones listed (and never watched any of them) and not a single one of the people.

Make that two of us. The only one I've heard of or seen anywhere is Cheryl Burke because I watch Dancing with the Stars, and Adam Rippon because of the Olympics (and he was also on Dancing with the Stars :p).

Has anyone heard what Anne is up to now? Any new show on the horizon?

I have bowed out very quickly on past seasons because of the over-the-top idiocy of some of the worst cooks, but I actually really enjoyed tonight’s show.  Antonia was a great addition, I thought — she seems to be slowly getting used to the energy and the wacky plates.  Jeff was in good form, not too goofy.  For some reason, this show actually teaches me a lot — I am not a worst cook but the way they explain to these newbies is quite helpful and makes things seem so doable.  Hoping for a good season.

Completely concur.  I was so hoping she’d be the first out.  With it being a blind final judge, I couldn’t blame producer shenanigans because Rachel always brings the drama.  Sorry to see Cheryl *almost* get eliminated.

I made it to 30 minutes but only because I couldn't find the remote fast enough to get it off my screen before that!

I like Antonia and Jeff but I feel like this show has really devolved over the years. I haven't watched it in a couple of years but now I think it's even worse without Anne.

I looked but all I could find on her was some event in the Hamptons on Long Island that she hosted a few months ago. No mention of any TV appearances. It's too bad.

I watched this week's episode.   I calling shenanigans on the cook off between Cheryl Burke and the woman on the red team.  The woman on the red team put an entire cup of salt in the water, and Jeff and Antonia couldn't taste it?   I doubt it.  Instead they eliminated Cheryl for unevenly cut tomatoes?    There is no way the woman from the red team's dish didn't taste like a block of salt.

I thought that Anne's absence would lead to some changes, but it's pretty much more of the same. The second half was better. I've said it many times that this show does not need to be 2 hours. 

I don't know if the red-headed guy was doing a schtick or it he's really that arrogant, but he got on my nerves. Surprisingly, I liked Frankie Grande. 

I read it's only 5 episodes this season so see you all next week!

The red head, Wes from the Challenge is that arrogant and has zero sense of humour or self-awareness about how ridiculous he can be.

Cheryl was the only person I knew this season. I didn't think this was a celebrity edition anyway. Knowing that she's gone gives me even more reason not to watch.

I am baffled as to why Franke is considered a 'hero'!  I was so happy to see Carson albeit for only a brief appearance (I think he makes any show better).  

Rachel seems like she has toned down quite a bit over the years.  Don't really know who most of the contestants are, but I enjoyed the episode even though I wish it had been one hour instead of two.

I'd never heard of a single one of these people before last night - and for that I am grateful.  Most of them are worse than the regular loonies as they are acting extra campy on purpose.  

Where did all those small plates for the "family dinner" come from?  I didn't see anyone make a dish large enough to serve everyone.

I'm not sure why Carson was even there but I'm always happy to see him.  Jeff and Antonia did just fine.  Most of the cast members are ridiculous.

Sadly, I know over half of these participants because I am a reality tv junkie.  Frankie Grande should not be on the hero team--he was definitely a villain and most definitely knows how to cook.  He cooked some of the best meals in Big Brother.  Cheryl looked stoned to me. I think Anne, a legitimate chef, just backed away from this clown and famewhore casting the last few years.  I liked this show at the beginning, but it is no longer enjoyable.  I like Jeff and Antonia.

At least Frankie is playing along and hasn’t mentioned  sister once that I noticed.

Thank you for confirming - I looked at my wife and asked if she knew whether the Grandes were related and she said, "oh, I think he'd have mentioned it by now....many, many times." Don't know if it's by choice, but I appreciate it. 

I didn't mind Anne and thought she added a little gravitas to this circus, so I will miss that aspect of her being one of the hosts. Still, I prefer the "celebrity" version of this show because if you're going to go for hamfisted cartoonishness, at least cast people who have even a tiny bit of experience being entertaining (or trying to) in front of a camera. The "regulars" trying to out-silly each other....ugh. I can't. I usually laugh at least once during the celebrity edition. And it's kind of fun to see a new side to some of the ones I was familiar with (Johnny Weir, Tiffany and this season I'm not hating seeing an actual kind of funnybone in a contestant who played another version of Psycho Bachelorette).

That said....come on, producers, turkey and chocolate? Nobody does that. You don't need to try that hard. 

The promo for kids cook whatever is going to get old fast with the kid shrieking "I LOVE ANIMALS!"

It's hard to argue with this. This group is more unlikeable than most of the previous groups. And we got our first "macerate" joke! I'm sure "spatchcock" is coming.

According to Screen Rant, Anne Burrell said she doesn't know why she isn't on this season which is leading them to think she wasn't asked to come back. If that's not more proof that FN is getting rid of everyone who makes too much money for their budget I don't know what is. I personally think the network isn't doing as well as it used to and has had to make budget cuts. That's what Valerie Bertinelli alluded to when she was let go.

They leave open the possibility that she wanted to step down but I see no reason why she wouldn't be open about that. She's not someone that wouldn't own up to it if it were her own decision.
