They immediately got rid of the Tinker Toy Brownstone from last year, at least part of it is Julexis' new Senior Sex Den.

I liked that makeshift brownstone, but clearly Frank (and Ron) immediately lost interest.

I loved Anna's cottage.

Do you mean the little house she had with the flowery wallpaper, or that place out in the woods (where Duke walked in on her and Robert in bed, joking about a deliberately disgusting breakfast she made Robert)?     Both were very cute.

Although, as a child, I kind of really wanted to live in the Quartermaine mansion ...

I mean the place where they hide Duke during Mr.B storyline. But I also liked the house with the wallpaper and pictures.

My favorites are all in the past...

Robert Scorpio's apartment: I wasn't even watching at the time but it was cool. I don't know exactly how functional was but as a set I totally dug it. Of course an International Man of Mystery like Robert F'n Scorpio would have an apartment like that.

Kevin's Lighthouse: I loved the concept of it being somewhat isolated... even if I couldn't think too hard about what body of water it was sitting on. Still, I liked the idea of Kevin living outside of Port Charles proper, it really seemed to suit him as he was back then. Also, his collection of globes... I would love that for myself if I had the room. Maybe someday.

Mine too are in the past.  Robert's townhouse was fantastic.  It was a modern structure and then Holly added English traditional furniture.  They recreated the set from photos.  Tristan Rogers said they got rid of the entire set and there were no floor plans.

I don't remember Kevin's lighthouse - could it have been Bill Eckert's lighthouse originally.  That was a very expensive set.  I loved Luke's casino in the early 80's.  That was some set and very authentic looking.  The Governor's mansion was another elaborate set.  Other than the Scorpio townhouse, I give props to the set designer who did Luke's club when it was exotic and Moroccan.   Alan and Monica had a very glamorous bedroom suite.

Decided to bring this back considering the Q mansion. Considering all of the inaccuracies  this show does that happens, I guess having about 6 months of home renovations done in an afternoon isn't the worst. Moving the door is though. But I will agree, the place looks sterile. I am all for something of a refreshing the sets, even one that is as classic and timeless as that one, but it was a too much. People call that new look timeless, but I have a feeling it will date itself as much as any other decade.

It explains the fuss Brook Lynn made about the path to the front door, being under construction.  They just moved the front door altogether!  But wasn't that just a couple of weeks ago and now these renos are all done.  If only we could all hire contractors who work that quickly.

I don't like the reno to the Q mansion.  I think it is kind of like what they did to Pricktor's Ranch.  It takes away some of the character.  I get why Monica might want to refresh it, but show-wise, I don't think it was the right move.

But in order to put the front door there, they had to (re)move a section of the house! Wasn’t the kitchen beyond that door before?

I’m not opposed to updating the set, but it should have been done in a way that made sense. Why not just repaint and move the furniture, maybe remove a wall, like it would happen in the real world? Or, if they were determined to make a major architectural change, they should have made it plausible: like, write a storyline where the mansion burns down and has to be rebuilt.

I find this type of nonsensical change annoying when it could so easily make sense, with just a little effort. C’mon, GH people, just pretend you care a little!

I mentioned this in the episode thread, but let me reiterate, what the hell happened to the Q den? They’ve hung this ugly wood paneling which just makes the room seem dark and stuffy, and it just doesn’t look good at all.

Also, considering we have Kelly’s (which, admittedly, we see less and less of), why do they make every character have scenes at that lone table at the unnamed coffee shop that’s literally just four walls, some shelving, and some ugly plants?

I really wish they'd change that wallpaper (?) in the Maxie pad. It reminds me of a screensaver I had in the '90s, and it worked better for that purpose. If I had to look at this all the time, I'd be making this face too.

I can't stand Kst (but do hope that her IRL illness gets resolved), especially without a Spinelli/Levi/parking-lot pete to hide behind or JMB to stand behind - but the wallpaper serves the same purpose as the {{{moss}}} does in Carson/Jason scenes.  Now that I have seen the actual flowery wallpaper (thanks Uklis) - it is an improvement over the current one.

I don't mind the character of Maxie but the capabilities of the actors of that age group (Maxie, Michael, Sansa, Willow, Michael, Brando, and Chase), along with the script, has fallen quite short of the potential of the age group that should be the main focus (would have been nice to have some medical personnel therein) of this soap opera.  Dante and Brooklyn (this go-around) have provided a pulse to the under 50 GH population.
