I'm betting Farrah wore that for attention. It's borderline culturally (for a white girl) inappropriate (like Kail and her thankfully short-lived "dreads"). Despite being "one of the top known female celebrities in the nation" I don't think the Teen Mom's get a whole lot of attention at the MTV Movie Awards....

I always assumed they all were invited being on one of the higher rated MTV shows - but I guess MTV only gives a couple or so of them invitations every year...I noted no Jenelle - her and UBT would have been there in a hot minute...

I love this dress. I have always regretted not wearing an Indian wedding saree for my wedding day. I find them to be so beautiful and elegant. Farrah looks radiant in that dress.

I do think she is wearing it to show Simon "Look at me! I can be your wife and fit in with your culture." It also gets her attention for other reasons which, to me, demeans the whole thing just like when Kail wore those dreads for a hot minute. It is not like when singer Gwen Stefani wore a saree from time to time and highly loved and respected the culture especially since she was engaged to her band mate, Tony Kamal, who is Indian.

This is pretty funny...I was watching old TM's on my IPad while I was cooking dinner. My husband (unwilling TM 2 super fan) asked is that the other one? After assuring him TM2 is better - he asked is that the one with the porn girl? I told him how Farrah likes to call herself "one of the best known female celebrities in the nation".

He thought that was pretty funny cause the only reason he knows who she is because she apparently had a boxing match with Tan Mom (he's a big Howard Stern fan).

I think she actually looks attractive but don't think it was appropriate for the setting. White girl wearing a sari to an Indian wedding? Totally ok. White girl wearing a sari to other Indian-cultural related event? Fine. Any time else? Tread carefully, especially in the public eye. 

I think the Abraham family are all crazy and horrible people, but I also realize they must (crossing my fingers here) play it up for the cameras. And that is what I'm going to tell myself so that I can accept a grown woman sleeping nude in a room with her ex husband and grown daughter. 

I also doubt they could ever accept the abuse from the past because I'm firmly in the denier camp. I believe they are crazy and did bullshit things, and they also probably did things Farrah didn't like but that were perfectly normal for parents to do. In Farrah's messed up mind, this is abuse, in the same way a five year old threatens to run away because they didn't get to have ice cream for dinner.

This ?? I totally agree. I think they were a normal suburban family before MTV and fame just unleashed the super crazy. Although watching being Debra today made me seriously question her sanity, I think she would have been a kooky mom within the realm of normal if not for reality tv.

To be fair, KaIl and Amber dressed up like they were going to the Grammys. This is the VMAs where Howard Stern once dressed up like Fart Man and plenty of other well-known people dressed up like they were going to a costume party at Hugh Hefner's mansion.

On the MTV site they have a deleted clip of Sophia driving the golf cart. On the back of the cart you can see her golf bag and a male's (presumably Michael's).  It looks like the clubs get some use. Michael is going to miss the hell out of Sophia if she moves.

Howard Stern was criticized not for the costume, but for exposing his ass cheeks through the costume with the fart noises. MTV criticized him and banned him from ever appearing on anything relating to MTV. How rich. Considering what a shit show the VMAs have become especially from a network that no longer airs music videos, Farrah showing up in a costume is hardly anything compared to some of the outfits others have shown up wearing. MTV sure has no problem with the likes of Amber Rose and Rose McGowan showing up to their events with their ass cheeks exposed, females showing up in some outrageous costumes, barely there dresses, it is all a joke. It really is a big joke now with any of the Teen Moms being invited. I can't recall the last VMAs I ever watched.

lol...I haven't watched in ages either, but I would much rather see either of those two ladies' ass cheeks that Stern's. If I recall correctly, he said in his autobiography that he made sure they were extra gross and hairy before the show. He mentioned (I believe) eating crap so he would have extra cellulite.

Stern, man.  When he was at the top of his game, he was the top. Loved that guy.
