Haleigh if she won HoH wants to put up Brett and Tyler and if one of them comes off veto, put up Sam.

The happy dance I did when I saw this. Now, it would mean Haleigh would have to actually win HOH and then actually follow through, so it won't happen, but at least she has these thoughts!

So who doesn't know about Sam's power other than Rachael, the escort (Jesus)?  These twists are so stupid.

I'm pretty sure the only people that know are Tyler, Kaycee, Angela, and Brett. I don't know why Angela didn't tell Rachel. I'd like it to get out to Rachel that all of L5 knew about it and didn't clue her in.

This week has made this season worth watching finally. I've found people to love to hate and people to love and actually root for. And the drama has just been utterly delicious. And there's more to come! Next week should be good too, especially if by some grace of God Haleigh, RS, or maybe Bayleigh wins HOH.

Break this down for me.  I want names.  :>)

I love to hate Kaitlyn and Sam. Their insanity is just delicious. And I'm loving/rooting for Rachel and Hayleigh. I'm growing more fond of Kaycee as well. Oh and I like Scottie. I go back and forth with Bayleigh. And I'm still enjoying Angela's utter lack of personality lol. The only people I just don't really give a shit about are Tyler and Brett. I just find them uninteresting.

My tears that you don't like Tyler and Brett in the way that I do!

But your other categories are pretty similar to mine. Kaitlyn/Sam (and, to an extent Rockstar) are definitely love to hate. Sam's a little more frustrating because my newfound loathing is so new still so I haven't quite gotten to that love to hate, and Rockstar's insanity is only entertaining in the sense that she keeps calling Brett her best friend (which cracks me up for some reason) but they provide excellent feeds. Rachel/Haleigh are my favourites for this season. Tyler is still my favourite guy, and Brett's entertaining with his rivalry/frenemy status with Rockstar. Faysal's been more entertaining when he's confused and been so done with Kaitlyn the past two days.

I'm just happy that I don't outright hate anyone. Sam's the only one to come close at the moment, but even I can find humour in her Sammaid's Tale storyline.

Last night you had two different appeals to Fessy to use his veto. Kaitlin was crying, begging, cajoling, guilting, Fessy to use the veto on her. He remarks what a difficult position he is in. She says YOU, what about ME?

Hayleigh tells Fessy, I would love if you used it on me but I would not be angry if you did not. You are in a difficult position.

When did Sam realize her role is Sage, dispenser of wisdom and sole arbiter of what’s right and how things should be?

Perhaps she’d be more comfy participating on a Quaker version of BB?

As a Quaker, I will note that there certainly are judgmental Friends who think they are the wise arbiters, but most of us do at least acknowledge that one of our early names (and my favorite) was "Seekers after the Truth," not "finders and sole possessors of Truth."

Also, most (not all!) Quakers I know are type B personalities and supreme introverts and would do almost anything--except perhaps take up arms, LOL--rather than be on any version of Big Brother!

(I know you were joking and I'm not offended, but just amused at others' visions of Quakers) (although if you've run into one of the self-righteous, holier-than-thou ones, which all denominations have, then I apologize on their behalf!).

This is basically my opinion in a nutshell.  Except I probably like Fessi more than most people.  Hes so confused all the time yet can win mental comps haha

Sam the Pious is totally against putting Nonstar up because she’s a mother and she hasn’t had her moment yet.

You’d think it’d be JC for having messed up the bathroom and she wasn’t pleased when she saw the aftermath. However, men aren’t responsible for their actions in her world, so Rachel could possibly end up on the block.

Yes, she has had her moment.  We saw her in all her glory as a bitter, angry 35 year old mother who got played by a twenty something punk.

I’m surprised Sam hasn’t given Angie her views of motherhood and paganism.  Since Sam is so morally righteous, you’d think that Angie leaving young kids behind and witchcraft would be hot buttons?  How about Angie flaunting her body in that bikini?  What a hussy!

Guess since the guys won’t give her the time of day, now she turning for affection towards the girls. Hope so.  That should make for some good feeds.   And great TV.   Sam comes out on Big Brother.   Sure Grodner is giddy just thinking imaginingmaking up the storyline about it.

Shes going to tell that person (Kaitlyn) that it was her choice to save her (When really it wasn't)

I don't think Sam can do it since she would be lying about a production introduced item and you can't use BB that way in the game as I understand it.  You can hint about a power and let people jump to their own conclusions but you can't outright lie about specifics rules of the game.  I may be wrong on this but I've heard of something along these lines before in past seasons.  I think that was about you can't say BB told you something they didn't to help you in the game and this seems like something on that same track.  Deceive, yes.  Outright lie, no.

Also it will be Julie who will be telling the evictee on the live Thursday night show about the power and I am sure Julie will explain the ENTIRE power in that in the 4th week Sam no longer had control of the power but that it simply defaulted to that week's evictee.  That Sam's use of the power ended at the end of the 3rd week.

Sam said, I feel guilty about my sexuality and explained her mothers strict moral code.  I read this and didn't hear it.  I assumed this meant she was gay.

I don't see that one sentence implies the other at all.  She has also said she is very sexually active as in promiscuous or having many experiences etc so it seems more logical to me that is all she is saying.  Perhaps the other is true but once you post something online it can get around as "the truth" quickly as it is repeated in a telephone game thing way when there may be no truth to it.  Or if there is it is for the gay person to out themselves and not anyone else.

I'm not saying you mean anything by your comment.  I really enjoy your posts.  Just the internet seems to have a life of it's own and a lot of it is some person reading a speculation then running with it to some other place and declaring it fact and soon it is everywhere online.

Does anyone know why Sam has a shirt with the word/name 'Christmas' on it? I noticed it in one of her DRs recently and she's wearing it today. It looks like a comp shirt so I was like why does she have one of Chritmas' old comp shirts lol.

I think that is Sam's middle name.  Could be wrong but there was discussion earlier in this now long thread about Christmas being a middle name but the other house guests just saw the shirt and it lead to some of them thinking Sam might be related to the nightmare from last season at the time.

I think her middle name is Marie, her Instagram has her name as "Samantha Marie" and Tyler has called her by that name before. She has said she shops at second-hand stores before so maybe she got it there and it's just a coincidence.

Sam is now asking Angela who to put up and she said RS. I don't see how she can't put her up now.

Angela said RS needed to be punished like OK bud. Angela is now saying the RS should go before jury because she can't win and so she should be with her kids.

I think Sam knows if she puts up RS that she'll go, which she doesn't want, but at this point I don't know how she can avoid putting her up.

That's a really dumb reason to want to target her (and I don't think Rockstar's a bully, though she did harass Brett), but Angela just inadvertently saved Rachel from being the replacement nom.

Angela is telling Sam that she doesn't see Rockstar winning this game, but she could make it to Jury.  However, Angela sees no point in Rockstar sitting in Jury since she's a mother.  Angela is all for sending Rockstar home before Jury because it's not fair to Rockstar's family.

There is always one who decides what is best for someone else; this season we have 2 or 3 of those.  Maybe RS' family wants the money being on the jury will bring in.  OY

Sam's new nom speech:

"Rockstar, I have nominated you because you're a mother and you need to be with your kids and not be a Jezebel."

I do wonder if Angela truly meant what she said, or if she just played into Sam's cards. Angela's a tough person to read so I don't know whether she feels that way or if she knew that's what Sam would want to hear.

It really is impossible to read Angela because she always has a blank look on her face and a monotone voice, but she hit way too many of Sam's button for me to not think she was just saying that for Sam's benefit.

Rachel just said, "But does Sam ever think about what she does," and I loled for real.

It would be...if Sam wasn't planning on telling both noms after the veto ceremony that her power is still in play.

Yeah, I would definitely prefer neither one knew a battleback was coming. They will be prepared now.

Still I think the odds of RS winning it could be around 50/50 depending (and especially if Brett rattles her with a "Goodbye Best Friend". He's not above that.) Probably a little higher odds on Kait, but I don't think it's a guarantee.

Still either one coming back after what might be an unanimous vote would be awesome!

I am very much over Sam talking about motherhood and how awesome it is/will be or how amazing Rockstar is for giving birth to actual humans. And I'm totally putting my own shit on it, because ever since the husband and I made the decision that we're not going to be parents and we're never going to be parents, I (not the husband, of course, just me) have gotten nothing but grief from family, friends, and random fucking people (like thanks, lady who was doing my ultrasound, look at my ovaries and keep your opinions to myself) who parrot a lot of the "but motherhood will be amazing and the best thing you will ever do" shit that I've heard Sam saying in her rambly totally not one-on-ones with people. So Sam can take all of her motherhood shit and shove it up her ass.

Again, totally a me thing but it makes me roll my eyes so fucking hard now.

Sam said way earlier on the feeds (possibly before they came on and it was someone repeating what she had said, I can't quite remember) that it was an inside joke/gift from co-workers. I'm still confused about Winston's sleeveless Santa shirt, though.

Nah, she wasn't a couch. End table at best.

Sam got to pick the Have Nots...which is really the first four to volunteer (the three who haven't yet plus another). So the Have Nots are Ofbrett, Ofswaggy, the Gender Traitor and Scottie.

Rockstar just asked Sam if she didn't like the girls alliance idea.  Sam says she did.

But Sam says she doesn't know if it's possible this season.

Sam's not wrong. With Sam trying to start her own Gilead and Kaitlyn trying to bang three guys while her now ex boyfriend is now watching, it would never work.

Rockstar's dumb for mentioning this to Sam.

Represent! Choosing to be child-free can be a socially tough row to hoe; I thank my lucky stars that I'm a contented loner for the most part and don't get those comments. (Even my mom - who would have been a great granny - recently decided she's glad she doesn't have grandkids, given the shit-crapper this planet is heading towards.) I respect the choice of having a child or two, and think being a good parent is a huge achievement, but it's so vastly insulting to assume it's the only way to prove one's value, happiness, acceptability, and the like. At a baby shower some years ago, someone asked about me being a mom, and I said "I don't think I'm going to have kids." One of the moms replied in a sweet, pitying way, "Awww, don't say that!" Me (blank, Angela-like expression): "Why not?"

I've realized that Sam would make a fantastic headmistress for a Home for Wayward Girls. All her best qualities - empathy, house cleaning, pep talks, hair braiding, strict rule-setting, judgment like the wrath of God - could be utilized. Plus, she could weld some chains and chastity belts for those miss missies who try to tempt the weaker-willed fools of the opposite sex!
