formerlyfreedom April 4, 2018 Share April 4, 2018 Tobias returns to Freeland. He is tasked to capture – not kill – Black Lightning with the help of an unexpected source. After a battle of epic proportions, Anissa and Jennifer provide surprising aid. Link to comment

Primal Slayer April 11, 2018 Share April 11, 2018 Great episode. That entire school fight had me all And then Black Lightning went down for the count! I was fully expecting Jennifer to get some good zapping in but they just had her zap her dad back to life which was still good. They are really taking their time with her powers and it is enjoyable to watch her journey. She and Anissa have dealt with things completely opposite and it is great. We have so many villains to contend with but each one brings it in their own way and we have hench(wo)man that actually do things instead of just last 1 episode and be some faceless nobody. So sad that the finale is next week. 6 Link to comment
UNOSEZ April 11, 2018 Share April 11, 2018 Strong epi... Really liked the fight between Anissa and Murder girl... I'm really happy they took the time to explain the dreads... Poor khalil looked lost... Kinda thought they were turning him into bizarre static shock... But he just seems super strong. Looking fwd to the finale and moreover next season... Smh @ the LaLa situation... Stuck as Tobias puppet.. I could see him fighting and losing against the control 4 Link to comment
thuganomics85 April 11, 2018 Share April 11, 2018 Damn, Tobias is actually controlling Lala? That's pretty messed up, even if Lala is not a good dude. First, someone kills your ass and then you have to still work for him after being resurrected. Khalil's back and has been turned into a full-fledge supervillian, I see. I wish they had spent more time on this turn around, but I'm guessing it will end up being a catalyst for Jennifer to end up embracing her powers. The fight between Anissa and Syondie/Tobias' henchwoman was badass. I hope we get a round two in the future. Wasn't a fan of the need to make conflict happen between Jefferson and Lynn. I understood why he was upset, but he went too far, I thought. Of course, I see all of that changing after his near death experience. Finale next week. Not sure what will happen, expect I do think at least one villain will go since it's getting pretty crowded. I suspect it will be Proctor, since Tobias is likely a long-term villain, and it feels like Lala's story is only picking up. But as much as I love Gregg Henry, Proctor seems like your average evil overlord, and him potentially getting taken out of the picture would be a win for the team, but won't take away from the show. 5 Link to comment
statsgirl April 11, 2018 Share April 11, 2018 Another good episode. I wish the season weren't ending so soon. I understood both Lynn and Jefferson in their disagreement. Jefferson considers the gene a part of who he is, and he sees Lynn as trying to deny those parts of him, and Anissa and Jennifer. But I'm siding with Jennifer. For me, ADHD is part of who I am, and while I accept the creativity and prblem-solving that comes with it, if there were a way to turn the gene off, I'd take it. 2 hours ago, janeta said: So, seriously, do none of these people learn to take head shots when their opponents are in body armor/kevlar?? PhoneCop April 11, 2018 Share April 11, 2018 Dear Anissa: Next time Syonide confronts you, skip the showy hand-to-hand demonstration and just thunderclap her through a wall. Repeat as necessary until she's unconscious. Then do it one more time. All I could think of when I saw Khalil's Sudden!Dreads was this: 2 Link to comment

Trini April 11, 2018 Share April 11, 2018 So it doesn't make sense to me that Tobias can resurrect LaLa, but not his sister. (Does it depend on how youu die??) Plus shouldn't that antiaging serum (or whatever) have other benefits? But at least we got one answer about LaLa. Aw, look at my TV parents being sexy! But then they ruined it with Jeff going from 0 to 100 in that conversation with Lynn. Like, what? Also loving the different approaches to Jennifer and Anissa and their powers. School fight! So does Syonide have implants/powers? Aw, Khalil! We hardly knew you, and now you're a supervillian. What was he shooting people with?? So much was going on; will have to come back later... 31 minutes ago, Snapdragon said: Yes! When he first showed up with the dreads, I said, "Is he going to be Static?" AnimeMania April 11, 2018 Share April 11, 2018 Poor Lynn, The writers couldn't figure out how to make her say "Me so horny!" but at least they got her to say "I love you long time". Poor Khalil, turned from well spoken high school student into an ebonics spewing dred-head thug. 1 Link to comment

Since Tobias killed LaLa, he could have immediately taken him to a lab or whatever, whereas Tori's body was left behind after she got killed, so by the time Tobias could have gotten to her it might have been too late to ressurct her. 4 Link to comment

PhoneCop April 11, 2018 Share April 11, 2018 That's what I thought too, that Syonide's "skin" looked synthetic. Maybe we'll get an answer next week. At first I wondered if Khalil might be the show's version of Bandit, but: wrong publisher. D'oh. Link to comment

tennisgurl April 12, 2018 Share April 12, 2018 That fight scene at the school was badass, especially when the silent woman was shooting at Anissa, and the bullets just kept bouncing off of her. Although, I am really concerned for the students at that school. Maybe come get some counselors in there or something, because those kids have dealt with a lot of trauma in those halls the last month or two! Oh no Khalil has gone full on supervillain now! And he was such a sweet kid! I hope he can be helped though, he seemed pretty freaked out when he thought he killed Black Lightning, and seemed to realize what his new legs might have cost him with Tobias. And those dreads...not a fan. Those sexy scenes between Jefferson and Lynn! Oh my, mom and dad have still got it. Especially when Jefferson started using his powers to get things extra electric. And then, it goes bad when he realized that Lynn was working to get rid of Jennifer's powers. I get that Jefferson sees his powers as a part of him and as a gift (and maybe he sees Jennifer rejecting her powers as a rejection of him?) but its Jennifer's powers, so its her call. That being said, while Jen might be in her "I just want to fit in" high school years, she might want those powers one day down the road, even if its not to fight crime or something. So Lala was resurrected by Tobias to be his puppet? Damn, thats cold. Lala isnt a good guy, by any stretch, but thats still a messed up situation. Especially considering he is being tormented and is going kind of sideways. I cant believe its almost season finale time. 3 Link to comment
VCRTracking April 12, 2018 Share April 12, 2018 (edited) Lynn looked gooooood in that silky red dress. Wow, whatever they gave Khalil made his hair grow REALLY fast. I need some of that. Felt bad for his poor mom. I was hoping Anissa would fight Tobias' henchwoman with the bangs and it did not disappoint! Edited April 12, 2018 by VCRTracking 2 Link to comment
Lantern7 April 13, 2018 Share April 13, 2018 (edited) Good episode. Somewhat depressing as hell, but well done overall. But here was what went through my mind near the end: Tobias: DAMN! We killed Black Lightning!! You know what? The hell with this. I'm gonna see who this fool really is. [The Next Day] Tobias: How the hell did I not see-?!? Khalil: I know, right? Tobias: Am I that stupid?!? That's not a setup for me to choke you out, by the way Khalil: Nah, he had the goggles and the weird voice. No way could we know Black Jesus and Lightning were the same guy. Tobias: All these years, I busted on Lois Lane for not putting Clark Kent and Superman together. I'm gonna have to rethink my opinions. You know, while I'm ruling Freeland with an iron fist. Khalil: That reminds me . . . what does "The 100"? mean? They like that awesome CW show? [smiles at camera. Tobias pokes his head into frame, also smiling] Maybe now Jennifer can not feel like a freak after she saved her dad. To be fair, she has had a lot of crap dumped on her in the past month. Realizing that she might be Red Lightning is the icing on the complication cake for her. Anybody out there wanting a “My parents had sex and all I got was superpowers" t-shirt? Dang, how does Anissa not at least recoil a little when taking bullets? Ottis July 16, 2018 Share July 16, 2018 The actor who plays Gambi just isn’t very good. I tried to go with it but he sounds like he is reading off lines one after another. I feel no connection for him or concern for him. Khalil a bad guy... yawn. I’m not sure what I want from this show. I liked it a lot at the start. Now it feels like the powers and bad guys are all too personal and not enough about purpose . Link to comment
