Wow. That looks absolutely terrible.

I wonder if it only looks bad because it's fake beard hair stuck onto SA's face or it just looks bad. Period. Then again, SA also looks funny/terrible whenever he grows that pornstache of his during summer breaks.

I'm going to guess that Oliver is fighting Slade's son in the future. The armor/costume looks Slade-like.

Another damn good episode. This show gets so much more done then it's sister shows I feel like.

Sadly Hawkgirl is still the weakest link but everyone else has been getting some great stories, most of all Sara. Rip using Star City to dangle over her head to get the job done was so wrong but oh so good.

Okay, I'm weird because I like that look on Oliver.  And since it's 2046 (according to Rip) and Oliver was born in 1985, that would make him  59 in that timeline. Sara has an exagerrated idea of what a 59 year old man can do.

I thought MG said that the black guy shooting arrows was

Connor Hawke

.

Legends continues to be a lot of fun (except for the torture scenes, I never like those) and once again, everyone got used well.  I liked that  used the same name for the Russian prison that Diggle got Lyla out of in season 2.

It seems like they are chem-testing Caity with everyone but Stein and Hawkgirl..

Y'all have to admit. The guy is handsome as hell so I wouldn't be surprised if he's Diggle's son ;) (but why would he change his last name???)

Maybe he wanted two super names? Hawke and Green Arrow. Lol

I am really impressed with LoT. I thought I was going to dislike this show but they have given that large group of characters more growth, depth, and team work togetherness in these first season episodes. Color me surprised but everyone and everything is currently working on this show!

Psst. The show has infected you. It's actually 61. Or 60 if it's earlier than May. Oliver sure looks spry for a dead sexagenuarian.

I don't understand why Legends is doing such a good job mixing everyone up, and Arrow and Flash are so bad at it. We've had conversations here in the Arrow forum about why each character seems to be locked into only being able to talk or interact with certain people. I know Legends is an ensemble show and Flash and Arrow are not, but still. How much better would both shows be if they mixed it up more? I think both shows would be drastically improved. It doesn't mean that they would have to lose their focus on their hero, but it would allow the other supporting characters to be more well rounded. I think Buffy and Angel both did this very well, even though both had a main lead that the show revolved around.

Maybe he married a woman whose last name is Hawke? There's no law that says only women can change their names when they get married, and this is set 30 or so years in the future. I know couples right now that have done this, or simply chosen a new last name for them both. He can be a Diggle and a Hawke while making misogynist comics fanboys tear their hair out in impotent rage. Win/win/win!

LOL - well we are trying to figure out if someone is Diggle's son. :)

As to why LoT seems to be working so far (knock on wood) with their ensemble cast - I believe someone at the wheel of that show (I can't remember who but others have commented on it) is from another ensemble show.  It takes a special person to handle an ensemble cast, but when they are there - it really works.  I think Wheadon is extremely good at it and I believe that talent is one of the many reasons why Avengers has worked so well in the movies.

Since neither Flash nor Arrow were designed as ensemble shows - I don't think the writers spend a lot of time focusing on anyone's development but the main character.  Interestingly, I think Supergirl is doing a decent job with it's supporting cast despite the show being focused on one character. When it comes to Flash or Arrow - I think Arrow even comes out on top.  I like Flash and all, but someone really needs to get them a memo that Barry shouldn't need a pep talk every episode, shouldn't cry about a parent every couple of episodes, and the Earth 2 episodes rocked because the women had more to do.

LoT scored a 0.8/2.26 last night.  That's down a tenth in the demo and actually tied with Supernatural.  It does have more viewers than Supernatural but, it's not a good sign.  Obviously it could bounce back, especially next week with GA/Oliver showing up.  However, we're coming up on DST and shows usually drop once we hit DST so it's iffy.

Oh well I really Enjoy LOT. Not as much as Arrow. Hawkgirl and Savage are still huge weak links and the firestorm dynamic is an issue though hopefully that is better after this week. Jax is weak but improving. Hawkgirl and Savage aren't improving and they are central to the show's purpose so yeah troubling. But I like it more than the Flash. I know I'm close to alone in that department. LOT has already had a decease in how the show looks budget wise. I can't imagine it going cheaper so we see what happens.

I'm hoping for the best but if all we get is one tight season of LoT - I will still be thrilled.  I honestly like it better than Arrow, Flash, or Supergirl right now.  I don't know why - but the way they are dragging out the Zoom thing on Flash is annoying me this season.  It didn't bother me last season with Reverse Flash so I'm not sure what's different - but yea, not working for me at all.  And even though I'm more or less enjoying this season of Arrow - the baby momma lie in the background is ruining it.  It's not as bad as season three, but no where near season one or two.  And while I really like Supergirl a lot - I just enjoy the dynamics of the ensemble cast more on LoT.

I'm still enjoying Arrow the most. Hawkgirl and Savage are huge players to be weak links on LOT. I do adore Sara and Sara&Snart and Sara&Rip. LOL I'm a huge Sara fan but I like Snart and Mick Rory as well. The baby mama drama isn't affecting me that much though what happens in the up coming weeks will determine how I ultimately feel. I need Oliver to finally realize he has to be open with his partners as well as show that he can be present as the drama unfolds. It's the fights&stunts that is my issue with season 4 and some of the over all blocking.

  • Love 2

Yea I will say something is amiss on Arrow in the fights department this season.  There have been multiple times when I was 99% sure I didn't see the punches connect during fights.  Blocking is suppose to prevent that.  But that could be editing as much as anything else I guess.

Things like that don't usually ruin a show for me though.  Apparently, neither does bad acting because Jax and Kendra don't bother me at all over on LoT.  I think Vandal would have bothered me if I hadn't lived through season three's Ra's.  I mean that Ra's was BAD.  Vandal at least comes off as a menacing mad man who I can believe would burn the world down just to watch in amusement.  He might not seem as formidable as his comic book counterpart, but he does seem evil.

Last season, I wasn't sure if Ra's was evil or just f-ed up in the head.  I mean, he was giving Oliver and Felicity love advice in one scene, then forcing Oliver to marry Nyssa in the next, then insisting that Oliver had to destroy Starling because he was the chosen one!  The man seemed downright skitzo and never once menacing or evil.

I find it more curious that the CW hasn't given early renewals to anything yet, and they probably won't renew anything until the deal with Tribune gets resolved. They probably can't even give showrunners an idea of what their budgets will look like next season. That's gotta suck

  • Love 3

I just thinking that nothing has been renewed yet. I wonder if they are concerned.

Curious about who they are going to name drop on LOT. I'm assuming Olivers arm was built by Cisco or Curtis. Maybe Caitlyn. Possibly Felicity but that doesn't sound like her specialty.
