I agree it was an odd panel.  A few "fans" that didn't have any questions prepared or weren't really fans of the show.  I watched it through SageIt.  You can't really hear the crowd so it just sounded flat.

I am almost sorry I paid for that. WTF is wrong with the screeners?

Anybody else who watched the stageit, I wonder if the last-question woman realized she was sitting on a high stool when she lifted her leg to show off the Star Trek tattoo. Just about got a whole other kind of show there, lol.

Best Q/A* - Who is your favourite Star Trek captain? Jared: [long winded answer culminating in 'Kirk']. Jensen: I dunno. Captain... America? lol

Jensen's reaction to the Sam hair questions was pretty funny. He was either genuinely dismayed or a great actor (or both!!). Same with the Sam!boy fan and his three favourite episodes (beginning with shirtless Sam doing the pull ups in 6x03).

He got some flack for it that's for sure.

I'm sure some fans couldn't wait to report to him, and he loves nothing better than getting into fan wars and choosing up his side. He's an octogenarian teenager.

Better question, why is this such a big deal?  I took it as a joke.  I could see Jared or Jensen sending out the same tweet if one of them were mentioned by one person and not the other. Or if Jared or Jensen were mentioned and not the other.  Not because their feelings were really hurt, but because they were kidding around.

I've only watched the Gold Panel - and I was tired and ready for me bed so I might have misheard  - but it was an odd question from a fan to Jensen about Dean never opening up about his time in hell.  Did she completely miss the Emmy-worthy scene on the hood of Baby?   It was quite the pivotal moment. (Still, on the other hand, TPTB have apparently forgotten Jensen suffered in Hell too)

The fan dynamic is changing - they're more interested in hair, children and I want to be an actor.  Was there even one question about Michael?

I usually couldn't wait to watch the panels, not so much now.  But my heartfelt thanks to those fans that post for us.

I watched the Main Panel for 15 or so minutes, and fell asleep.

What I saw was....not good. Two people, one successfully, tried to get photos with the boys for  nothing. Did they not want to pay for the ops?

Jensen was hilariously and rightly annoyed IMO through the hair question because it was stupid and went on way too long.  I loved that Jensen was like "His hair never changes...why are you asking this???"

I would have been pissed if I had paid for that con and that's the discussions had.

I actually got worse.  There were several 'can you say hi to insert name here.

I liked Jensen's response to someone asking them to say hi to "my friend summer for me please.

Jensen- "Hi Summer, Formeplease."

Fan: Here name is Summer (I forget what she said)

Jensen: You don't know her name?  Did it change?  Did she get married?"   Lol.  The sass was on point yesterday.

Or the question Captain Picard or Captain Kirk,  Jensen- Captain America.

Two people were like, I don't really watch the show, but my (other person here) does.  So why are they in the question line?

I can't blame the 2nd person for asking for a selfie when the first person got one.  The person who asked the last question ended up getting a J2 photo.   (although to be fair she didn't ask, as far as I know.).

They had complete control over how long the hair question went on.  They could have just answered and moved on, but Jensen chose to have fun with it instead. I'm not at all sure he was annoyed by it. He seemed amused more than anything else.

That seemed to come about from Jared 'breaking' her phone (Jensen again was hilarious over this... Uhh, Jared touched it for more than 7 seconds, sooooo). Then Jensen 'fixed' it (his aside about that went unnoticed by the people on the stage, but not by me, lol).

They are both almost always gracious and funny, no matter how inappropriate or repetitive or just plain dumb the questions are. They are professionals, and more important, both kind men who care about the fans. Even when they tease, it's affectionate, and they usually check to make sure the tease-ee is okay before they move on. But none of that changes the fact (for want of a better word) that it's tiresome and annoying for those who have to watch it. And all that said, the cons and the questions are for the attendees, not those of us watching for free via fans who generously share their videos/pics/tweets, etc. There are a lot of repeat customers for sure (thus the groans when repeat questions come along), but there are also a lot of first-timers for whom the prank question hasn't been answered a million times. It's their con, too.

What I *don't* have patience for is the people who insist on sharing their personal, often painful and/or emotional stories, when the rules are clearly stated against doing so. I'm sure they don't tell the screeners they are going to do it*, and short of ripping the mic away from them, there isn't much they can do about it. Personal responsibility and courtesy are all that can stop them - and there is a distinct lack of that. I guess the urge to share, to get that moment of attention from Jared or Jensen or Misha is just too irresistible when it's right there at hand. Unfortunately, I think it would take exactly that (shaming them for it) to stop it happening, and I don't think the boys would condone that, no matter how uncomfortable they may be with the situation.

*If they are made aware and let them continue to the mic anyway, then a pox on them, too.

This is a matter of interpreting someone's responses.  Sure he had fun with it, but that doesn't mean it didn't annoy him. I personally find a lot of annoying things amusing in a sardonic way.  For me, that's how I read his reaction.  Sardonic laughter. Then again I don't know the man so maybe I'm totally wrong and I'm just projecting my annoyance on to him.

That's exactly the reason that my daughter and I stopped paying our good money to go. Obviously, we didn't have those exact questions, but yes, the panels, they are a changing. :(

Yeah, this is the reason I'm annoyed that we get more WS this year. When focusing on them they aren't focusing on the heart of the show.

Yup. And I'm sure the thought of cutting the scene where Jody dissed Dean's thoughts on hunting never occurred to anyone at all. Dabb sucks out loud.

There is a huge contingent of fans our there that have views far different from the general opinions here at this board.  Either that or I'm following the wrong people on twitter.

But I feel  it's these fans that Dabb & Co write for.  Today's episodes are light years away from earlier seasons. It's almost not the same show. Big celestial events might happen in these latter seasons, but they're kind of 'Junior-High' in comparison and never take us to the edge.  It's all plot driven with the brothers running from one calamity to the next with little or no lasting consequence.  Characters possess powers that come and go according to plot. They never have the conversations we expect based on past events. There is no follow up to anything that happens. Things are 'world ending' one minute, next minute it's forgotten and onto some other dilemma.

I don't know where I read or saw this but one article took an episode from season 12 (I think) and went through scene by scene proving that Sam and Dean made absolutely no difference.  They could have slept in that day and the outcome of the events in the episode would have been exactly the same.

Again Why?

Dean's sad smile.  Jensen is usually consistent with these things.

I've often felt this way.    I read another meta on tumblr that detailed the shift of the show from horror to fantasy and how Dean doesn't really fit into this show anymore because his character still sees hunting as cold and dark and not a magical quest.

I'd bet the ranch on the last sentence-and that they're the same fans who find JP's hair more interesting than the show itself.

They are the only people that ever get a response on Twitter. No matter how polite or constructive, no criticism is ever acknowledged except by the hordes who rise to their defense.

How utterly predictable, eh?

I think the news of this deleted scene has angered me even me more than what came out of Comic Con this summer. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

Okay, that settles it, the Missouri from Home was a shapeshifter, namely the one who then posed as the annoying grief councilor. She just pretended not to know who the Winchesters are. We only met the actual Missouri in this Season 13 episode. Things are making sense again.

I`m actually less miffed that the scene got cut then gobsmacked that it got written in the first place.

Because it would have undercut Jody telling Dean he was wrong and maybe too soon for Dean

Well that sure would have gone a long way for me to not hate Missouri after s1. LOL

That's a huge moment for Dean really.  He both appreciated and was a little sardonic over that "endorsement".  It's a double edged sword with John and Dean because John was pretty screwed up himself. I can see Dean both appreciating it and wondering why.  A lot to mine out of that scene IMO.

I think it was left out because they needed Dean to be as unlikeable as possible to make Jack more woobiefied. IMO.

For anyone in the UK, this week's Hello magazine has photos of Maison and West Collins in Hilary Swank's wedding party (just not on their website - party poopers!)  Anyway, here's one of Maison and her sister bridesmaids that I found elsewhere.

I still never figured out. Do we know how Misha and Hillary know each other?

Baby on set.  I hope she gets a more prominent role this season.

What a picture! This may be a controversial opinion, but I think Baby is the best looking cast member on the whole show.
