I attend a weekly bible study, and even I roll my eyes at some of the things people in our group ask us to pray for.... then I pray for myself for being so bitchy and eyerolly. ?

Nice to see a positive comment. She looks good to me, but I can see this video getting picked apart in 3, 2, 1... Lol.

ETA I love Veronica in that video. She is such a fun performer and has great facial expressions. Interesting to see she was further up in the formation for her group than Holly Arielle was (who you can see briefly but is mostly blocked by a speaker).

 We're talking about Cassie Kathleen not Cassie Trammell, right?  I don't remember anybody saying anything bad about her. Would have been nice if she made it back for another year (or more). I think she's happy being an Ice Angel.

I meant Cassie Trammel.  She looks amazing and her dancing is good in this video.  I had to watch three times and I still needed to post to get confirmation. She is a star in this video. In my opinion anyway.

I've only watched from the 2012 season and she was already a vet then so I didn't see her much.

 

I watched 2012, 2013 and 2014 on TV (in the UK and they showed them all in one go!) and then this season on Youtube. How I wish they'd put them on DVD :(

Yes, that's her.

 

Many people believe she just made the team b/c of her mom. Also, compared to the other cheerleaders, she doesn't really always complete movements, she half dances and runs through steps. It seems that way in a lot of performances especially when she's next to or around power performers.

The dislike for Cassie is that during her rookie tryout she absolutely did not look or dance like a dcc. People much better at that point have been cut. Her vet years, she had a terrible solo at least twice - the Alice in wonderland was awful and basically the following years' Halloween concept. That confirms she's had inside help. She's had to sit and rest due to asthma, where other girls were told to dance until they drop.

Somehow she made show group multiple times, and her dancing as always lackluster and a beat behind. The infamous was scene of her and Ali Traylor ratting out some girl for snacking doesn't sit well with a lot of us.

Her personality always seemed dazed and confused. That pretty much sums it up.

I don't know if is call that clip 'point', or group leader in a sideline dance on a stage. Cassie was never point.

That was very interesting RazzleberryPie, like I said I never saw her rookie year and by the time I started watching and she was a vet I didn't notice her.

 

Again *stamps foot* why won't they put them on DVD or at least upload the old episodes on Youtube so I could watch them >:(

GLs are usually always the point in their group dance.

 

Based on what others (her actual friends) have said about her, her personality and sense of humor may tend to come across "dazed" or "cold" but that's far from how she is. It kind of sucks that TV can do that.

 

As far as the asthma thing..heck yes. There always seemed to be some type of favoritism towards her.

I'm sorry, ratted some girl out for snacking? Lol no. Unless you're referring to something that happened off camera. The Taylor incident was about Taylor not practicing and bragging how she didn't need to practice, which I can honestly totally see from her based on how she was on the show. Of course it's all here say so I take it with a grain of salt, but I just have a hard time giving the benefit of the doubt to the rookie who was clearly immature. But yeah, I'm not going to beat this dead horse anymore.

Cassie looks great there, and I love that her hair isn't that obnoxious glow-in-the-dark blonde that Ranier was so fond of. Who is the brunette on the far right of the screen? I hope that there was something going on with her, because otherwise that performance?? She phoned that in.

Cassie does look great here and she's really working it. Honestly, I always got the sense that she became a DCC more for her mother than for herself based on her comments on the show, especially during her rookie year.

I agree. I remember an interview (can't remember if it was on the show or website) right before she retired, where she really sadly said that she'd spent her whole life being brought up to be a DCC, and now it was over, and she wasn't sure what was next. It was quite pitiful to me that her 'peak' and life's dream ended at 23. She got married not too long after and had her first baby fairly quickly (no shotgun scandal, just pregnant soon after marriage), and seems so much happier and focused now. I'm glad she's 'found herself' and doing something she loves. 

 

Did Cassie ever finish her degree?

I don't think I've ever seen Cassie look better than in that video. It's not just her dance, but she looks great, and I never considered Cassie to be one of the prettier girls on the team. I think Veronica looks the best in the video, while Colleen (I think thats her) looks the worst. I'm glad that they went back to a slightly lighter color for Danielle. I think her hair looks too dark in that video.

Colleen was the one who got caught on tape in a dominatrix show. Maybe she was a little sore...lol.

Veronica looks great in that video - she really stood out to me.

I am not a Cassie fan because I think she wouldn't have even made it to finals if it wasn't for who her mom is. She may have ended up a competent DCC by the end, but I'd bet she got a lot of extra help that the typical girl w/ her same level of talent, work ethic and looks would never get to become that good.

Her dancing is good in that video (others are just as good though, or, in the case of Veronica, better), but what distracts me about her is how she has extremely short legs in proportion to her torso - aren't the DCC supposed to have long legs? I'd bet more than a few girls have been passed over for DCC cause of short legs over the years - which goes back to my point about the nepotism.

I always thought Cassie performed well and have seen her once at a game some years ago and she caught my eye . She has good projection ( as K and J would say) in my opinion. I'm not knowledgable on dance really so that's just my opinion.

How old is this video?

 I'm guessing it's from 2008. I noticed Kandi Harris at the beginning and Sydney near the end. Kandi's last year and Sydney's first were 2008.

There was also another version just before the jump split, hand up -- I think it was as late as season 5 (and the All Stars did it in Season 6 at that performance the new squad went to): they did the split, brought both arms parallel to their chest and then did the arm up.

Yes - I specifically remember a clip on the show where they were filming the kickline from the left (facing the kickline) and Mackenzie Lee was on the end.  She went right into hand up instead of arms parallel - hand up.  When she realized what she did, she corrected and did arms parallel - hand up really fast.

That IS creepy how close - I'm sure they hear some of them saying stuff to them while they are dancing and they have to just ignore it and keep smiling. If that was Olivia S, she is taller than I realized - she looked even prettier there than she did on the show, and she was really pretty on the show.

I know most don't agree with me but I think those touchdown decks are creepy AF.  Getting the crowd pumped up, yeah ok, whatever, you are basically shaking your butt RIGHT in their face.  I would be so weirded out by it that I'd have a terrible time focusing on performing. At least they aren't up there for long, right?

 

And yeah, Olivia is so stunning.  Will always be sad she didn't have more years on the squad.
