wow, what a tangled web.  I will say that its possible, just possible, that the "modelling" pictures were used for other purposes.  But she sure does look so pretty in them, if they were used how I think they might have been used I could see someone wanting her to look as pretty as possible.  She also looks happy with that other guy Jaime....who I think is sort of cute!  I'm trying to access the link in the story to see what these various modelling jobs were.

What I'm hearing is that people are calling him names, harassing him for being a nutjob, etc. It's done more harm than good. And there are rumors that his daughter Elise is who put out the links and stories about Nikki's modeling career. I have no idea what's truth or fiction at this point.

I am sure that long before any 90 Day show, that Mark was and still is the kind of person , who when shop clerks, food servers or anyone who has had the displeasure of spending more than one minute with him , runs in the opposite direction and quickly puts up the closed sign.

 

Everything about him is like Godzilla's fingernails on a blackboard.

I think the whole confusing thing with her multiple profiles, references to ex husband, modeling pics, etc goes like this:

 

1.  Professional photos done in Cebu in 2014.

2.  Reference to husband "Jaimie Jamarillo" and the picture of her with the older guy on Pinterest are both exes (if not the same ex)  Jaimie was never a husband, but an ex-boyfriend and they just referred to each other as "hubby/wifey".

3.  FB profile "Nikki Ross Gervise (Mediano)" which now seems to belong to a male, is apparently her brother.  Not sure why he took over her facebook profile instead of creating his own.

4.  She has a second FB profile "Nikki Mediano" which used to have a picture including Mark, but has since changed to just her face and torso.  Only one friend listed.

4.  Explore Talent is an account she created later and simply features the professional shots she had done in Cebu.  It is an agency based in LA but she is not.

I should point out that Jamie Jamarillo also has a profile on Exploretalent, so maybe it was his idea to put her photos there too, should she join him in Los Angeles.  I guess that fell through.

Jaime is an ex.   Although Mark first met her when she was 16, however, it could have gotten more "serious" after she and Jaime broke up.  Or perhaps she broke up with Jaime to be with Mark.

From what I've been told (by a woman who was a Filipino online bride), most of the girls on the Filipino marriage sites are involved in more than one "exclusive" relationship.  They juggle a few and pick the one that can offer the most or proposes first.  The one I know married a high school friend of an ex of mine.  She had multiple guys on the string, but picked this one because he owned two houses, had a good job, and seemed harmless.  He was 46 and had never had a date.  They seem ok--she takes his credit card and buys stuff until he yells at her and cooks him massive amounts of artery-clogging and sugar-laden food although he has diabetes and high cholesterol.  I asked her once if she was trying to kill him and she winked at me.  I had to laugh.  At least she was age-appropriate, being 32.  I think they each got what they wanted, so it worked out all right.

If the point is to escape a situation asap, I think casting multiple irons into multiple fires makes sense.  Which would support that Mark may have been much nicer when he was "wooing" her and then changed once he actually got her here.

I believe I can comment on the social media and links on this page.  There is no rule that I need to have links to back up in my opinion here or anywhere on this site. This page is where people can come and share social media and links, however there is no rule prohibiting a person from commenting without sharing a social media or link.  So....I'll stay here and comment as I see fit.  Or, if I've misunderstood the rule, and I have to give a social media or link in order to post a comment here I'll wait for cooksdelight...the moderator to let me know.

Dr. Phil's thing now is exposing catfishers. He gets some lonely old woman on stage who has been sending her life savings in cereal boxes to Nigeria and acts like he's some kind of new age Columbo when he (his staff) tracks down the guy whose picture has been stolen. I can spare everybody the hour. He'll say the following: "a pancakes got two sides to it, I'm just an old country boy, and my son Jay and I wrote a new book. It's called the 20/20 diet." I guarantee he'll use that last plug on Beverly. He used it on a woman who'd just buried her mother and daughter.

Dr. Phil has done a lot of catfishing shows, but I don't think Devar can be classified that way.  Catfishers are usually someone pretending to be someone else who manipulates their victim into sending them money.... most of the time they never even meet.  Devar may end up being a user who takes advantage of Melanie, but can he really be classified as a catfisher?

The things I really noticed in this clip were

 

1. Alexi isn't sitting next to Loren 

 

2. The guy sitting next to Loren is sitting really next to Loren

 

3. Alexi's facial hair looks awful

 

4. Alexi looks either bored, annoyed or just over it.  His mind looks like it is somewhere else entirely, but he is just going through the motions and trying to look like he is having a good time

I'm digging around on Twitter and thought I would post some of the cast links. I don't follow any of them, but they are public so you don't have to. I agree, but Loren strikes me as a woman who doesn't always take the feelings of others into account and honestly, even if she was, I would expect people who just got married to at least sit together.  But I don't consider that smug married.  Now kissing each other all the time or something like that...perhaps that is a little smug married :)

I have to honestly say that it sounds like Jason has sour grapes.  Kyle and Noon were probably the most positively portrayed couple this season.  With the exception of the roaches they came off as likable.  Neither Jason, nor Cassia were likable on their season.   Jason was upset that people judged he and Cassia off of what was shown on TLC, yet he judged Noon based on what was shown on a show.  Turns out she has a bachelors degree, you would have thought the fact that Cassia was called awful names would have made Jason think for a minute before calling anyone....anything.

 

However, I think Jason is shameless in trying to promote his interests in leveraging his story into opportunity and I'm sure this is part of it.  If he can stay relevant by getting into it with couples from this season more people will be paying attention to him.  It seems a little shitty to me, but I think he would go away if they just refused to engage him.

The main story is about a woman who married a man 26 years older, so I'm not understanding where Mel and Devar fit into a show about marriage remorse and huge age differences. I actually think Carolina/Fernando would have been a much better fit for a May/December romance.  And Dr. Phil could have used all the footage to embarrass Fernando, and grilled him about living in his mom's house.  He could have used all his research tools for that.  Could have had Mama Fernando on the show too.  I honestly think it could have been much more drama than Mel/Devar/Bev and would have fit better with the show title.
