I think he tries to be all things to all people. He believes the character and actor should be separate, but does something fans will know is him. He says he admires actors who speak up, but stays a good company boy.

He has all the makings of a Hollywood star. ;)

Freak show was the weakest season too, imo.

I thought so, too. I couldn't even get through it, stopped watching after about 4 episodes. First season of AHS I didn't watch in its entirety. Then again, my favorite season is probably Coven and that seems to be pretty unpopular so what do I know.

Congrats to Ryan and the AHS cast and crew, though. And to Darren and Jane on their nominations as well.

Eh; I'll take Ryan Murphy's "American Horror Story's " 20 Emmy nominations as long as we finally got a Tatiana Maslany Best actress nod for  "Orphan Black".  I know that Jessica Lange is no longer  the lead actor on AHS so it will be interesting to see how Lady Gaga does.

Tatiana not getting any love until now was so embarrassing for the Emmy's. I feel like Kevin thinks so too, judging by his tweet.

Speaking of Kevin, he's carried on with the radio show on Dash. I guess it's the same one he did with Amber, but now renamed.

Giant Glee yard sale - ok online  auction Sept 17 and 18.

A lot of clothes for most of the character and props.  Some interesting things never seen before up close.  Kurt's message to Rachel in her yearbook, pages from Kurt's journal, list made by Brittany,  a letter of resignation from glee written by Santana - (a Santana rant in written form).  Furniture, guitars,  Funny girl props, show choir trophies, Hurt locker stuff, Rachel's pink bowling ball, etc.

Looking through those lots brought back a lot of Glee memories.  They had Rachel's New York date dress in there.  One odd thing I noticed is that when they had a Finn piece they didn't say (played by Cory Monteith) after that where as with every other character they named the actor who played him/her.  I wonder if that is standard for an actor who has passed.  Not criticizing.  It just stood out to me.

I thought it was interesting that the starting bid is $100 on everything except the puppets ($2500).  It was also interesting seeing what was *not* there--Kurt's gold lamé pants, a lot consisting of his pins/brooches, the gum-wrapper ring (though I guess that didn't make air, I'm quite certain someone would have paid out the ass for it), Rachel's star and/or Finn necklace, Kurt's messenger bag...  Makes me wonder (again) what the cast and crew made off with.

Some of that stuff is hilarious--I mean, a full-sized Breadstix booth, really??

Not gonna lie, I was tempted by Jake's leather jacket and a couple of Tina's dresses.

Looking at the girls clothes, none of them look like things girls in their teens would wear, they look like clothes for women in their 20s and 30s.

The first small star necklace was Lea's in the first place and Lea took the Finn necklace as a keepsake.

Some  costumes were also rentals like Rachel's house party dress so could explain why some clothes are not up for auction.

Right, that's what I'm saying, is that what's not there could be indicative of what people kept.  For some reason I'm fascinated by that.  I actually didn't know the star necklace was Lea's!

So we can't buy Rachel's house party dress, but we *can* buy that creepy Rachel painting!  I have to admit, I laughed long and heartily when I saw that was up for auction :)

I do not think that the stuff absent is absent due mostly to the cast taking stuff  but I am sure a few things are due to that.  I mean they had multiples of some things too. Darren's Warbler outfit is up for sale but Darren said he took his Warbler jacket.  A wheelchair is on auction but Kevin took one. Chord took his little shorts from Rocky Horror other wise those probably would have been up for auction.   I know Rachel along could  have  up to 8-10 costume changes an episode  so  a lot of her clothes  may be recycled into other wardrobe departments.

But this is still  just a fraction of what was used.

Hence "could be" in my post.  I'd love to know what people actually took, but I'm certainly not drawing any solid conclusions based on the contents of this auction.

Yea, mutliple copies of an outfit or prop explains alot, but I have this mental picture that they didn't have access to all the inventory of stuff as production closed down, plus a limited window of time to choose things. Since they were "freebies" they couldn't take everything...LOL.

IOW, it wouldn't surprise me if some of the casts people now are bidding for some of the lots on the sly, even if they have to pay.

Where are Jesse's scarves???

June 8th 2020 is a Monday, not a Sunday. They couldn't even bother getting that right (re date of the Tonys programs). Also, I don't know who filled out Jesse's tsf to McKinley, but 1, they spelt his name wrong. 2. He's listed as being only one month older than Rachel and as being in grade 10.

Glee was indeed in a universe all of its own. It was the show's lack of continuity and non-attention to details that drove me crazy.

Executive producer Brad Falchuk on whether he was ready to end “Glee”:

“I think it’s like graduating high school. You’re sort of sad about it, but at the same time you’re like, ‘OK, gotta go.’ In a perfect world, that show probably was a 50 or 60 episode show, where we could have told three seasons of stories and graduated from high school and been done.

from http://leamichele-ne...on-moving-on-to

That says all there needs to be said about the Glee show runners.

Considering they were floundering long before Cory died (and Finn wasn't even a leading character by the end of Season 4) the way they pin things on Cory's death is pathetic.

This might be irrational but I am kind of annoyed at Brad for saying that. I have been and am a fan of shows that have ran for a decade and i  think that Glee could very well have had that kind of longevity if only they did some better long term planning YEARS ago.

Brad said that he would have preferred it to end after 50-60 episodes, ie less than three 22 episode seasons, so a year before Cory died and when the original cast graduated.

Like I said, they seemed to lose their mojo/steam before Cory died. Certainly by the middle of Season 3 the year the Seniors graduated they were already recycling stories from the first two seasons left and right, so Brad's 50-60 episodes makes sense for how soon they seemed bankrupt to keep thing fresh.

Granted, I  think trying to revamp with new cast, then trying to pump them up with more spotlight as Season 4 wore on, coupled by Cory dying before Season 5 commenced was overwhelming. So yea, they could have been even MORE paralyzed to deal with the mess they created before Cory died.  However Cory's death would have cast a pall on Season 5 and Season 6 and the clusterfuck  was clearly way before that.

For example, the utterly fucking stupid idea to continue the struggling Noob school year onto Season 5 was again done before Cory's tragic passing.  Add such things as making the new cast 2.0 versions of the old, keeping original cast members as props but still used more in marketing, shifting the spotlight to Marley and Blam! in season 4 while diminishing the role of the original characters , including Will, Rachel, Kurt Santana AND Cory.  But RIB would rather run buck naked through a canyon of rattlesnakes then ever admit their own mistakes through Season 4 were to blame.

I'd go as far as to say the end of season 3 was really where it went off the rails. Kurt not getting into college was universally hated and got awards for being the worst "shocking" twist in television that year. I'm not sure it was even something they thought about beyond wanting Rachel to seem more special until the blowback got rather extreme.  They never could explain that one and made cringey comments about how sometimes bad things just happen. Yes, shit does happen. However, when you write the script you pick what shit lands were. They never owned where they flung their shit. They'd rather blame a dead man who was barely even there for much of when things went bad and who had no creative control.  Corey's death is not a magical get out of jail free card. They drove that into the ditch all by themselves.

I think the reason it most likely got this rating is because it was 2 hrs too long.

It might have great DvR rating, that's how my little sister watched it today.I watched 30 minutes of it with my sister and it reminded me of one of those wacky episodes they did on Glee.

Also, people are asking the question if RM is racist because it seems like he is only able to write black characters using the same brand of sterotype he did on Glee and calling it comedy.

I liked how Janes character was written in season 6, this spunky girl who wanted to go to her dads old all boys school and be a Warbler. I don't think that her race was even mentioned in dialogue. Although maybe it's because their wasn't enough time for them to get to ruin her.
