I'm on the side that if she has to have surgery, she should probably live. PoshSprinkles listed a lot of the I reasons I have above. Also, can she really adequately care for herself while being a contestant on this show? It's one thing to stay home from work on short-term disability where you're in your familiar environment; it's another thing to be in the BB house. Will her foot really get the rest it needs to heal properly? I'd think this would be of concern since fitness/exercise is very important to her. Second, if her foot gets reinjured, she gets an infection or doesn't heal properly, does CBS want to risk any liability on it? I'd think CBS wouldn't want her to stay if it cannot guarantee the type of environment and care she needs for her foot.

Those are my thoughts.

The HGs literally just sit around all day doing nothing but talking. It kind of seems like the perfect situation in which to recover from a minor surgical procedure. She has no real life reaponsibilities to tend to, no outside expectations. All she has to do is continue sitting there all day, like she's done the past 3 weeks.

As for getting an infection, I assume she and the producers would handle that if it happens and decide at that point. But I'm sure she's signed 800 different waivers so I doubt cbs has much concern for their own liability.

Are we sure this is true?  We just had a competition that required some physical mobility that had a slight twist that went to her favor.  You had to run to the line to try and get your turn quicker.  However, in this comp the producers introduced the ability to transfer tickets.  So Christmas was able to lay around and collect tickets and hand them to her strongest ally.  Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't remember many if any comps allowing you to transfer opportunities like that.

I'm pretty sure, but I could be wrong. They had this exact competition for BBOTT, and I don't believe there was a specific rule about getting to transfer tickets to another. But I think it didn't just benefit Christmas, even if it did work in her favour. Everyone on Paul's side handed him their tickets since he was the only one getting close to winning. She could have still done the competition, though, even if there was no rule about getting to hand the tickets to others. It would have taken her a little longer to get herself set up to roll the balls, but she was still capable of doing the competition.

Either way, I don't think we'll know if they altered the rules to accommodate for her injury or not. I do know that they seemed to implement a rule about only getting to have a certain number of shots per turn, mostly because everyone only went a max of three times per turn.

Also, not that it really matters, but there have been comps where people have helped their teammates out. Maybe not so blatantly, but I think it's happened before. If anything, I get the feeling that they rigged the comp in Paul's favour, rather than Christmas'.

I certainly understand there are comps where you can help people out.  And I'm not dismissing that as a legitimate strategy either.  I'm just thinking that typically, HOH comps are about each individual competing to win.  And the rules were explicitly stated here as "hey (wink) you can definitely transfer your tickets (wink)".  It seemed different to me.

I know this was just a typo, but it made me laugh out loud.

It could be that Christmas has gone under general anesthesia before and knows she won't have a bad reaction. As I mentioned, when I had three screws put into my foot, I was home in the early afternoon and feeling sorry for myself and calling my friends to whine almost right away! (It was the day before Thanksgiving and I missed out on a trip to meet friends.) I had only one interim appointment (about 10 days after surgery, to get the sutures out and switch from the plaster surgical cast to a fiberglass cast) before the final appointment to have the cast off and wait a few months for the second surgery. I think she'd need to be out of the house only one more time after the surgery, for that second cast. A nurse did visit me to see that I could hobble around by myself, but Christmas has plenty of people who can watch how she does.

However, I think that if Christmas decides to stay, she should *not* be eligible for another BB season for at least 3-4 seasons. Otherwise she has too much of an advantage. As it is now, she can feel free to stay and no matter what happens, they'll probably bring her back right away for another season. She doesn't risk anything.

If she really is successful in the workout/trainer world then she should leave of her own volition.  Feet can be difficult to heal properly and I would think she's be reliant on her foot professionally.  And I'm sure she'd want to get the best rehab possible.  I would think that could be in jeopardy if she sits around the BB house or Jury house for the next few months.

On the upside, won't Cody be wearing the frog costume when he gets evicted?

He will, and I can't wait for him to find out, since he's been convinced that he can be dressed in his normal clothes for eviction night.

Someone on Sucks said it'd be fitting for the "toads" to become princes/princesses and be ineligible for eviction. I sometimes dislike that BBUS is so scripted compared to versions in other countries. This would have been a hilarious twist and a true consequence for taking a temptation.

Honestly, that would have been an awesome punishment, because it would be a punishment for everyone. Punishment for the ones that have to wear the costume, and punishment for the Minions who wanted Cody out and not being able to get him out.

Paul and Christmas talking.  He's telling her that it's good that he and Christmas kept a little bit of distance between themselves this week because they don't want others to think they're too close.  He tells her to just know that he has her back.

Paul is telling Kevin to do him a favor this week and vote to evict Ramses.  He wants the vote to be hinky and this will cause confusion.

  • Love 1

I just cringe every time Jason tries to talk game with Paul.  Or anyone else for that matter.

Jason and Paul talking.  Jason brought up the possibility of Ramses not voting to evict Cody this week, which would cause there to be 2 votes to keep Cody (Jessica and Ramses).  He was getting worked up that people would attribute the 2nd vote to keep Cody to him.  Paul had to explain that Ramses can't vote this week because he's still on the block.  But then he told Jason that Jason needed to be careful because someone else might try to vote wonky just to try to fuck Jason.  Oh Jason, if only you knew.

Paul is so full of shit right now, telling Jason that even if Paul makes it to final two, there's no way he can win because nobody will vote for a vet over a first-time player. Oh really? You mean like last season when vet Nicole beat first-timer Paul? Man these people are suckers if they swallow Paul's nonsense.

Didn't Paul basically provoke Josh into going after Cody at the POV?? First telling him to dog Cody with insults, if Cody was piked to play, and then he could do it in his veto speech ??

He is truly puppet mastering  everyones behavior. And they let him !!

Is this what the powers that be truly wanted this season to be ?? Please don't let Alex be the latest to tie her wagon to Paul. I know she'll do it for short term but I hope he is on her short list to go ( although I think it is the girls).

Cody told Jessica he's going to rile up Josh by telling Josh that he'll expose him as a sexual predator as soon as Cody is voted out. Cody will claim he's going to tell the world that Josh peeps at the girls in the shower and in the toilet room. Jessica encouraged this and said Cody could also say that during his eviction speech. Jesus. These people are terrible.

Yes, he did.  And then right after the feeds came back and the Josh/Cody/Jessica verbal spat fizzled out, Paul came into the bathroom and told Cody and Jessica that he had not fueled what Josh had just done.

I've been kinda whatever about Paul being back in the house, but I was thinking about it earlier today, and I'm really disappointed that CBS/Production did this. This cast has such an interesting Dynamic- and it would of been fun watching them all try and figure it out and what the best way to do something is etc. Instead we have Paul telling them all what they should or shouldn't do.  It's just annoying.

I'm hoping that one of them realizes that they want to win this game and that they shouldn't all just roll over listen to everything Paul says and let him walk to the $500K. I know they can't do anything right now because of his safety. But I'm hoping maybe in a DE.

Paul just told Dominique that he actually wants Ramses out before Jessica because Jessica is not a threat to him.

That's true, though, isn't it? Paul still has another week of safety, Jessica has no numbers in the house (at the moment), I don't see where he's wrong. Ramses is more unpredictable than Jessica and he almost fucked up the backdoor plan.

He thinks Ramses is crafty and Jessica isn't a threat to win comps.  He's not really wrong but I'm curious if some of the girls are willing to let go of their Jessica hate.

I think the problem is Jessica getting rid of her anger and butthurt VICTIM NOISES directed at the other women and some of the men. If she was honest during her talk with Paul, she truly feels betrayed by Elena (and Raven to a lesser extent) and Mark.

Speaking of Christmas and staying in that house laid up, anyone know how she is dealing with showering? Also, I agree that I would think she'd need some rehab, etc. Not a good situation to stay in there, and I still don't want to watch her sit on the sidelines during many comps.

If she can leave, why not let Kevin make a trip to a dentist to deal with his tooth?

They had been putting a chair in the shower for her and she wraps a plastic bag around her leg. I don't know if they've figured out a better solution since then.

Why are they scapegoating Josh? Other than because they're both pathetic and mean, that is. Whatever, it probably wouldn't be Josh but I'd hope another of the houseguests would have the presence of mind to point out to Cody that he can be sued for slander, even by people who make VICTIM NOISES. I mean if they tossed Megan out for just the insinuation that someone was racist...

Raven was taking a shower and Josh walked in and she claimed that he peeked at her while she was in there. I'm not sure if the feeds were on the bathroom at the time (it was a couple days ago) but I remember hearing her tell other people about it afterwards. So there is a basis for it. But I mean, they bitch about Christmas making the ultimate betrayal/bitch move by calling Jessica out in her eviction speech and then she encourages Cody to call out Josh in his. There's a "do as I say, not as I do" vibe there.

I'm fairly certain Christmas would have been pulled from the game had not Megan chosen to DOR. It would really put the show in a bind having to lose two HGs in a row - no doubt they had to do some schedule scrambling once Megan left and losing Christmas would make it worse. They're kind of up shit creek right now - they have to try to keep from having another unplanned loss but at the same time they've got a HG who can't play much.

Neither Ramses nor Jessica has much support in the house, by way of numbers. I don't know why Paul has such a bug up his ass about Ramses. Unless it's just that he's a homophobe, or that he suspects Ramses is smarter than he is, although I've seen no evidence of it.

It's a good thing I'm not on this season of BB. I'd be that person giving her the side-eye and not believing a word she says. I'd bring up BB12 Matt lying about his wife having cancer. I'd also ask her why she'd choose to live her last few months of life in the BB house with total strangers rather than surrounded by her loved ones. I would also pose these same questions to the other HGs and ask them if it makes any sense.

Paul and Alex are talking about weed dispensaries.  Jason thought that it was some kind of automatic weed dispenser where you put money in and the weed just comes out like a vending machine.

I was just about to post this LOL. Someone said earlier they think Jason's been hit in the head by bulls one too many times, and I think they might be onto something.

Paul wants Raven to be an inspiration to all of us.  Dominique just told her that she deserves to win.  Based on what??? Having an illness?

Raven:  "Just entering this house is winning for me."  Gag.

LMAO!  I just can't deal with this season already. It seems like, other than Paul, no one is even trying to play the game. (I mean, at least Cody tried but he's just so terrible at it that it doesn't count).  There's very little scheming. There seems to be no strategy of any kind coming from most of the HGs. It's like a house full of Megs. There really haven't even been many alliances that have developed so far, just showmances and loose pairings based more on personal likes/dislikes as opposed to strategy.

Sigh, is it Thursday yet?  Nothing interesting is going to happen until then at the earliest.

Did anyone else catch that quick moment between Kevin and Mark in the backyard?

They were talking about something (I was quad camming on headphones and Paul was really fucking loud on the other side) and Kevin asked Mark: "But when you get to the end, when it's the two of you, do you take the girl from Dallas or the girl from Buffalo?" The feeds cut to fish right after that and after a few seconds of fish, it went to all four cameras in the kitchen.

So, does Mark have a girl on the outside that he's interested in? Because Elena is from Dallas, but it sounded like Kevin was talking about a final 2 Big Brother situation and I checked but Christmas is from North Carolina and Dominique is from Virginia. Of course, it's Kevin and it could have just been a Kevinism, like not calling Christmas by her name.

ETA: No, I'm thinking it was about someone from the outside world because why else would the feeds have been cut, unless that someone didn't sign a waiver. Huh.

Mark and Raven keep telling Josh to just ignore it and don't take it to heart, he's going home this Thursday. Cody and Jessica are in the kitchen, being smug frogs, and waiting for him to pop off.

You might want to scan your computer with an anti-virus program and anti-spyware because that's just US Magazine. I opened it with no problem.

Why would Josh have to peep at girls in showers anyway?  On BBAD last night, at first I thought Alex was in a sheer negligee or something.  Every bit of her boobs was on display.  And Elena made sure the world got to look at other lady parts.  All he has to do is sit in a room with these girls, especially Alex, Elena and Jessica.

Thanks.  I do have anti-virus/spyware software, but the "infection" doesn't actually infect your computer.  The goal of the warning is to ensure you call that number so that you can give them your credit card number for them to "remove" the infection that never loaded in the first place.

Ah. It might have been my ad and script blocker that stopped it from loading on mine then. I keep forgetting that I don't see ads because of them, and it's usually an infected ad that causes it.

Bathroom Shower Peeping is a long honoured tradition in the Big Brother house. He's just following in the footsteps of some of the pervy greats. Like Frank.

Besides, he's been accused of peeping at one of the women who haven't had a nip slip (or in Elena's case, an everything and a bag of chips slip). The forbidden fruit tastes better than the fruit that's constantly being shoved in your face.

Josh's defense was the best. "I'm 23 years old, I can't be a sexual predator. If I see a beautiful girl, of course I'm going to look at her and tell her she looks beautiful." TIL that there's a minimum age requirement to be a sexual predator. (And really, one intentional peek makes you a creeper, not a sexual predator.)
