Wendy tried but that Lamar interview was boring as hell.  Why the hell did she break down in tears at the end?  Wendy, please get yourself into therapy.

Why does Wendy need to take 3 months off every summer?  I don't watch any other daytime shows, is this common?  It seems like a huge missed opportunity to not be able to weigh in on the summer stories.

All TV shows have a hiatus. Something to do with the contracts or laws or something. I always thought Wendy's was super long, though. 

Lamar isn't drugging but he admits he's drinking. Not good. Alcohol is a substance, right?  Isn't the problem with an addict that they don't know when or how to stop? I don't think one or two drinks is something Lamar could control himself to do. If he can, he has some awesome willpower.   I wonder why did he agree to come on Wendy's show. Usually the guests are promoting something, movies, TV, books, whatever.  Not just to say hey, how you doin'.

I missed the Sean "P Diddy" Coombs interview.  But what was HIS reason for being on WW? Are they good friends? Is his career that far in the toilet? Did he write a book? Is he promoting a movie?

I have never, in my whole life witnessed, so much fidgeting and weird lip smacking. Lamar was also constantly rubbing his thighs.

To me Lamar seemed sober, but fidgety. Like a dry drunk. Plus, he was in a coma for a while and he has some deficits. I think Wendy is having some issues related to menopause. Some estrogen would level her out.

THIS!!! X 1000  -  Wendy failed as far as I'm concerned.  What was the point.  Weird.  Wendy must be going hormonal - I will be glad when this hiatus comes up.

Her long pauses between questions was awkward and weird and made Lamar more self conscience.  It's like she forgets her train of thought.  That's a bad sign of an interviewer that sucks. You have to keep the conversation and questions flowing. She does it on Hot Topics, too.  Something is definitely going on with her. Maybe she needs to stop going to the club and get more sleep...!  She is not on top of her game at all.

It is interresting that Sean finally came to her show. Nothing groundbreaking was revealed , totally civilized. 

I was hoping for a quick reference to the swagger club but I guess that she is on tv now.

I also think that she felt better today. Except at one point, when she got confused during the Trap house story and refered to the rapper by the wrong name.lol

I don't get why she is hustling so hard at this point of her career. Between the tv show and the clothing line she makes bank.

Sean wasn't really promoting much but it is a surprise that he would do her show.  For those that don't know Wendy used to talk about Puffy like a dog while on radio.  He was one of her many targets.  She would constantly insinuate he was gay (because being gay is of course the worse thing you could be) and on the down low.  That is how the whole "How you doin" phrase started.  It wasn't a silly fun catchphrase, it was Wendy's way of trying to shame those she "thought" were gay and in the closet. At one point I believe Puffy used to ban anyone from Bad Boy Records to go on her radio show and promote anything they were doing.

One thing I have noticed is Wendy is very quick to let us know how she will be going "easy" on a guest.  I think that she is starting to realize that her years of trashing people not only on the radio but also on the show have finally caught up to her and she isn't getting those guests that she either wants or even used to get.

Her interview with Jussie Smollett she kept mentioning how she wasn't going to pry until he opened to door to talk about his sexuality.  The interview with La La, she made sure we all knew that she wasn't going to go to far. The Lamar and Puffy interview, she was incredibly restrained and calculated, so much the interviews were really boring.  When Wendy can't get "guttural" with a guest she really doesn't know how to conduct an interview. I'm assuming the people behind the scenes of the show have finally got her to realize that she can't book the guests she wants.  I'm also guessing that opinions from social media definitely get back to her.

She also said that Tupac got gang-raped in prison.  I am pretty sure that there were and are rappers who are in the closet, but, it was not Wendy's place to out them.   She also said that Will Smith and Jada were bisexual and had an understanding about their  same sex lovers outside of the bedroom.  Wendy  was a real mess, but, I will say that she was damn entertaining on her radio shows.  She was riveting and in her element.. If I am not mistaken, Puffy and her many detractors were the reason that she was ran out of NY, despite her high ratings..

There was also some rapper that she revealed that his wife had cancer. At the time, he and his wife had not even told their families.  Somehow, she has made up with a lot of the people she trashed. I still dont think they fully trust her though. Like Whoopi.

Yeah, it was actually Method Man whose wife had cancer.  I believe he still hates Wendy to this day. I think that she has managed to "make up" with some of them.  Or by "make up" meaning put it all in the past for the greater good of promoting my project or just not wanting to hate you any longer.  I also notice that she is incredibly quick to diffuse her own wrongdoing by using the phrases. Me and so and so have "come a long way, come full circle, been through it, etc."  which is always code for I used to spread non factual rumors about you and look at us now.

She talked about that in one of her books and bragged about how it didn't destroy her career. She said maybe one or two New Years Eves ago that she partied with Puffy and he said he wanted to come on. I suspected the interview wouldn't be anything to write home about and it wasn't.

Wendy probably won't ever reveal she's going thru menopause. She seems to love reminding "her people" that she still has a period. 

The Lamar interview was a train wreck. I felt uncomfortable for both of them just watching it on tv! I got the feeling that Wendy thought her questions to Lamar were going to inspire him to reveal juicy tidbits into his personal life and his life with the Kardashians. However, Lamar wasn't giving up any info about anything.

 Wendy is not  a skilled journalist or interviewer who knows how to keep the interview flowing and interesting.But I loved it when she called him "Odom" instead of Lamar! Lol. She's such an embarrassment!

Wendy is used to saying whatever she wants and listening to the response of her studio audience who is being encouraged by Suzanne to cheer, clap and agree with Wendy. 

And what the hell was the gift she gave Lamar at the end of the interview? A plexiglass case with a basketball and a bunch of inspirational words written on it?

Yeah, but I think Wendy is a bad liar. For one, Mariah’s “good side,” as she puts it, would be the one facing the camera if she was sitting in the same spot Wendy’s guests are always sitting in. So why would she want to flip their positions?

Wendy’s obsession with Mariah is part of the reason I quit watching. To me, it was obvious she was pissed Mariah wouldn’t come on her show while she was doing Idol (since they were both on FOX) like JLO did. OTT diva that she is, Mariah probably wants nothing at all to do with trash like Wendy.

I just saw an interview with a massage therapist on Inside Edition and she says she has many celebrity clients but the "bitch" of them all is Mariah. She acted the diva and said her skin was "special."

I think Wendy can't stand self obsessed girly girls (neither do I). I'm with Wendy on this one.

Is that the same massage therapist who bites her clients while massaging them? I don't know the whole story about her interaction with Mariah, but if I turned up for a massage and found out the woman was a biter from her sinking her teeth into me, I'd be the biggest bitch anyone has ever seen too. If Mariah knew ahead of time what would happen and she went anyway, then that's dumb on her part.

I love me some Mimi like cooked food, but I must admit that she's a pain in the ass. I don't think she's always been like that though. She used to be tongue in cheek with her "dahlings" and diva-isms, but she's morphing more and more into the bad stereotype of a diva.

As annoying as Mariah is, I couldn't deal with Wendy's mood swings. One minute she's laughing and insulting people then she's crying like someone killed her puppy the next.

That kind of lateness shows she has no respect for other people's time. I'd give her 10-15 minutes and then fly. My time is valuable too and I don't care for that type of disrespect. I don't care who you are.

I just caught up on a bunch of episodes---the Jayson Williams one was a little too real for me. 

I'm happy that Jayson seems to be doing well and it sounds like his rehab facility is doing great work.  But when he teared up and almost broke down when talking about "that night?" That nearly broke my heart.  I watch Wendy for the Hot Topics and Celeb Look-Alikes.  Interviews like Lamar and Jayson are uncomfortable for me.

Wendy just kept looking at her and responding to her like she was an alien... and I relate!  I'm ten years younger than Wendy and I don't know what the hell is going on in pop culture half the time anymore.

Exactly. I don't care how many number ones you have, how many movies you've made, etc. People who are continually late wouldn't take kindly to being on the opposite end of that situation.

I've seen bits and pieces of Love and Hip Hop New York (I watch ATL) and thought Cardi B was just playing a character and either she's good at playing it no matter where she goes or she really is that weird. She seems harmless enough (from what I've seen), but the Nicki Minaj/Mork and Mindy-isms would get on my nerves pretty quick.

Wendy alluded again today about being date raped in her youth at college.  The audience laughed, they didnt get it or catch it.  I felt bad for her.  Got to admit she has one hell of a memoir to write, when she decides to write it.

She spoke about it on her radio show back in the day. I think that she did write a book as well and wrote about it.. Wendy also spoke about her two miscarriages of baby girls, at 5 months, before having her son..   She was very depressed after her miscarriages and would avoid people with children and children in general.  Wendy used to be much more open on her radio show.

The problem with her talking about this is that it was in regard to a story she was doing about a scandal on the Bachelor in Paradise set. Two contestants got hot and heavy at the pool after possibly having too much to drink, and a producer, who was not present at the time, made a complaint of misconduct after the fact. The female contestant involved claimed the producers of the show should have stepped in and stopped it (the actual hookup, not just the filming) because they were drunk, and since they failed to step in she said she was a victim. She made it clear that she was blaming the show's producers for not putting a stop to it and that she was not blaming the guy she was with.  However, because the word victim was used, the assumption was made that the guy had committed sexual assault. Although that accusation was never actually made by the woman, and an investigation by the show concluded no misconduct occurred, the guy will still have this stigma attached to him. Enter Wendy. Instead of being at all informed about the actual story, which was all over the entertainment shows/sites, it appears that she too has made that same assumption of sexual assault and goes on about date rape. The attorney that she supposedly has on staff makes sure she always says allegedly about things, but lets her slander this guy like that??? Way to go Wendy.

She did. She didn't say who it was (for obvious reasons), but she said he was an R&B one hit wonder and that the date rape occurred in the late 80's.

Tammee, you've got to read Wendy's Got the Heat. That's her first memoir. She wrote another book called The Wendy Williams Experience where she dishes on some of her most controversial radio interviews.

Here in LA the first twenty minutes of the show were pre-empted by the OJ parole hearing.  I wonder what Wendy would have to say to that.

Abby Elliott was not a right fit for this show.  What an awkward interview.

Her interview with Havoc was much better.  I believed Wendy when she said she was a true fan and it was nice to see.

Oh never mind - Wendy just tried to lead the audience in a call and response of a Mobb Deep song and messed it all up.  Oh well...

Is anyone else tired of seeing Wendy's leg displayed all the way up past her thigh when she sits?  It's not hot at all.  It's actually kind of gross.  I have to cover my that part of the screen so I don't see it.  And another thing, she was lost way too much weight for the size of her breasts.  It was already bad but now it's super ridiculous.

Yes frankly I am. Mind you she still has a figure and looking good but she has turned that corner of age when it's no longer appropriate. Mind you I still like to see her test the limits but at other times I'm thinking 'Um...not your best look"

Yeah, the people who come on the show wearing tiaras - what the heck is that about?  Just makes them look juvenile imo.  Getting in the front row and being overly enthusiastic is what gets you noticed - glad that gives some of these women some claim to fame, if that is what they want.  Seems pretty desperate to me.

Birthday people are all supposed to wear tiaras and crowns on their special days.  Then she gives them a shoutout.  They were all wearing them for W's birthday

I think Wendy can't stand self obsessed girly girls (neither do I). I'm with Wendy on this one.

that's because Wendy would love to be a "girly girl" but she knows she's a huge oversized, clutzy, unfeminine female.

One does not have to be the above mentioned self obsessed girly girl to be a feminine woman. If that's your thing, fine, but there are plenty of other women, myself included, who don't choose to be that way and don't have a lot of patience for it. There are some things that I question about Wendy, but her femininity isn't one of them.
