who would you replace them with? Lord knows Sharon isn't going anywhere anytime soon, but if CBS finally wised up and kicked her sorry ass to the curb I'd love to see either Carnie Wilson or Alyssa Milano as her replacement. Who are your picks?

Sheryl has grown on me, but I wouldn't mind her leaving if it meant Holly came back. Holly was smart and insightful but also funny enough that Sheryl wouldn't be missed.

But yeah, Mrs. O is my number one to go. I don't know who I'd replace her with as host. Anyone would be better, I think.

Im not a Carnie fan and the deal was sealed when she lied about being offered marijuana by her mother as a child, obviously was called-out about the lies by her family, and apologizing for lying later in the week. All for shock value, i bet.

Sharon. Jennifer Flavin aka Mrs Stallone. I was impressed with her when she subbed a few weeks ago.

I'd never heard of her before, but enjoyed her guest hosting. She was a natural.

If that's why she did it, it's pathetic. It also contradicts what she said about her mother dissuading her and her sister from using drugs because of their dad's addiction.

I'm sorry....I keep seeing the name Holly, but I don't know who they mean?

They can get rid of Aisha and, of course, Sharon....don't care who they bring in as replacements.

When the show first started Leah Remini and Holly Robinson-Peete were on the panel. Both contracts weren't renewed and Aisha and Sheryl were hired.

Does anyone else remember Ananda Lewis? She was an MTV VJ back in the 90's and had her own (sadly short-lived) talk show in the early 00's. I like Julie as mod, but would love to see Ananda fill in for her when she's away doing BB or something.

Ahh, why don't you guys like Aisha? Yes, she can be a know-it-all at times, and she talks really fast. But what else?

I like Aisha, but sometimes, she eats the show. She sometimes talks too much and it annoys me. She's articulate and intelligent, she just needs to dial it down a little.

If someone left, Carnie Wilson would be a great addition.  And If I had to pick someone to go it would probably be Sharon.  I think she talks more than anyone.  Plus she can be a huge hypocrite sometimes.  Since Aisha is leaving at the end of the season (I'm gonna miss her.), we'll soon find out her replacement in due time.

And it's time to let the Leah and Holly thing go.  They are not coming back.

I hate the shitty way that they were treated and the fact that Sharon orchestrated their departure still pisses me off. Plus, the fact that Sharon was on the chopping block at one time, pisses me off, even more.

Seriously, I'm not a big fan of Sharon or her actions, but these two were atrocious, they had to go.

I'm with mayaluv 17, how so? I only originally tuned into The Talk because I was a Holly Robinson Peete fan and  I had only recently discovered The King of Queens in rerun. I was highly disappointed when Holly and Leah were let go. To find out that it was supposed to be Sharon that was leaving and instead we lost two very kind and funny ladies is still an injustice to me.

I'm a The Talk watcher since day one, and there has been times when I haven't seen the show in weeks.  I watched HRP & LR's run in its entirety.

HRP is essentially Ambien in human form; dull, bloodless and a tad self-involved.

LR was not talk show material, she tried way too hard to be the funny one, and in doing so, she was never funny.  She also had disturbing habits like picking feet.

YMMV, but I was glad they were canned.

I'll admit that I didn't like the way that it was handled.  That sucked big time.  They act as if those two never existed.  Getting that out of the way, Holly and Leah probably had it coming.  I only occasionally watched the show back then.  However, I Youtubed a video of them.  Just put "Holly Robinson Peete and Leah Remini The Talk" in the search box.  There is a 9 min. 18sec clip and there is a shorter one at 3min. 31sec.  They are dancing on the main table and being constantly being very disruptive.  I knew Leah was loud but she is way over the top here.  It was like "look ant me, look at me". If this is the kind of thing they did on a regular basis I can see why the were fired.

I saw that episode live, it was a joke and it was no more offensive than what Sheryl has done. I remember a particular skit that Sheryl did at the table where she simulated taking a crap on the toilet.. I found that more offensive than what they did. I can write a dissertation on the many ways that the red-headed clown has offended my sensibilities.  I admit that Leah can be a bit aggressive with her comedy, but, I never saw any harm.  I liked her dynamic with Sarah and how she would try to get her to open more.. I loved Holly Robinson Peete, I have always been a fan. I love her family and the awareness that she has brought to Autism, in particular, to those of color.

There was more obnoxious behavior than that "table episode" in that 9 min. clip.  They seemed like they were often out there a lot.  Plus, I read the section in Leah's book, Troublemaker about her experience on the show.  She admits that she and Holly were involved in some type of deal or experience behind the scenes that was seen as the final nail in the coffin. I can't remember what it was but she states that she thinks this is why they finally got the boot.

I actually like both ladies.  I've liked Holly since 21 Jump Street and Leah since Saved By the Bell.  But, maybe they had it coming.

Yet, Holly was on a CBS comedy show after her dismissal.  Holly said that everything that she did on the show was asked of her by the producers. If it was just Leah, I could see what you are saying, but, Sharon has said and done worst..

I can agree with you that Sharon has said and done some vile things in her personal and professional life.  And as stated earlier, I was not happy when Leah and Holly were let go.  I felt it was cold and backhanded.  But what's done is done.  I felt the same way about the Star Jones thing back in the day.  But everyone has moved on.

I think sugarbaker design means she was playing with her feet. I remember it was Sharon who did that back when they did couch interviews (they should go back to that). She'd take off her shoes, put her feet up and touch them throughout the segment. What Leah did that annoyed me was pawing at Sharon and the guests, but she usually had her shoes on.

Leah said that halfway through the first season Sharon told her and Holly that she wanted to leave the show and encouraged them to pitch a new show with the three of them, but Holly and Leah convinced her to stay.

You're correct that what's done is done, but usually when Holly and Leah's names come up it's when people are wondering why they were fired and how it all went down. I don't think anyone here is whining every other day about them being fired (not saying you said that) and we all know they're not coming back. As hosts or guests.

Bring back Holly and get rid of Sheryl Underwood, please.  I will NOT watch that show with her there.  She's trying to del herself as the "loud, sassy, black woman."  No, just no.  I thought Holly was classy, not crass and loud like Sheryl.  I think there is an element in America that can't stand to see classy, black women anywhere (which was why IMO Michelle Obama got so much hate), and someone like Sheryl makes that element feel comfortable.

I used to feel that way about Sheryl Underwood.  I am Black and I cringe when I see any type of Black stereotype on TV and Movies. However, Sheryl has a vulnerability that is endearing. The woman has been to hell and back. I am amazed that she is not somewhere self-medicating with drugs and alcohol under a bridge.. She is very intelligent, empathetic, warm, open-minded and at times can provide such thought-provoking commentary.  She is very religious without being self-righteous and judgmental.   Her friendship with Aisha made me love her more. Two Black women who love and support one another.. Not to mention, that Sheryl and Aisha represent different types of Black women that exist in the world.  With Sheryl, you have to go beneath the surface of the shtick that she projects as her comedic persona.  Her comedy belies a lifetime of pain.. I am a fan for life.

Daytime hasn't been the same since Oprah left and nobody's been able to fill her shoes. As for OWN, it has some good shows. I don't watch the scripted dramas like The Haves and Have Nots or Queen Sugar, but I like Iyanla, Fix My Life and Holly Robinson Peete's reality show with her family. I wish Oprah would show more reruns of the talk show. There's 25 years worth of shows just collecting dust.

yes, i would love to see the reruns also. unfortunately, the only thing i ever thought was watchable on her channel were the , what is it called?, master class. and only  a few of them. i hate the reality shows. i can not believe she is a lemming and followed the crowd on this. there is a wealth of information she could be putting out there and it's just the same ol same ol. i'm surprised it hasn't gone under.

Thank gosh...oprah was a horrible talk show especially in the later years.

I would say get rid of Sharon and replace her with someone smart, witty and knows more then just pop culture.

That's why I watch The View on Fridays when Joy Behar moderates. Whoopi, Wendy, Sharon shouldn't be on television.

Whoopi was a good actress. Wendy was entertaining at first. Sharon never was anything.

To be fair, Sharon did manage Ozzy and other rock bands and created Ozzfest. In a perfect world she would've remained behind the scenes and not assaulted our TV screens.

Maybe she should have stayed with Ozzy managing him and babysitting his drug-fueled tours. Then we could have been saved by the constant "confessions" and "reunions" of their dumb ass lives.
