Is this what she was at? https://www.nobarriersusa.org/events/ ?
I don't see her name mentioned.
They also have a Facebook page.
Ah, here she is.
https://www.nobarriersusa.org/2018-summit-activities/

Haha if you read that link, before you get to Whit there's an activity provided by "Deadbeats and Hustlers" - is it wrong that I was expecting to see a pic of Whitney, Todd and Buddy there?  :D

I'm watching the woman with the backpack standing directly in front of the stage, as Whitney goes into her giant rump rolling moves. The woman keeps alternating between putting her hand to her mouth and looking over her shoulder at someone behind her, as if she's not sure whether to be shocked or to burst out laughing.

She's trying not to puke.

Was this supposed to be the dance class that she had advertised?

[sarcastifont] Good to know that she and Todd have been brushing up on their choreography for their exhibition.[/sarcastifont] It is sad to see a performer enjoy their performance more than the audience.

It probably was. So pathetic. And that whole - point to someone and have them dance with you-  such an ego. You know she was imagining they were all thinking ‘Me!!!! Pick me!!!!’

And is it something new that a "performer" who is "dancing" keeps her (substantial) backside to the audience during the entire "show"?

Maybe the producer told her to show the audience her ‘biggest’ asset LOL

No longer able to do her Signature Back Roll, Twit is now performing her Signature Giant Rump Roll. (Thanks for that tag, @Ketzel. ?)

Given the empty chairs in front, where most ppl rush to sit for a performance, it's likely that her only audience were the ppl behind her who were presumably shanghied by the NBS producers or PMG to be Twit's guinea pigs.

No, it's not new. We have ample (heh) evidence, from prior videos, that Whitney thinks her best side is her backside, when it comes to recording her "dancing." Also, while on the subject, it is not new for this "performer" to get between the class participants and the camera. Heaven forbid anyone else should get on camera while Whitney Way is on the stage.

I’ve met more people in an elevator ride than attended that “performance”.  Why are there more people on the stage than in the audience? I know it might be inappropriate (but when has that ever stopped Whitney), but I’m really curious as to Whitney’s finances.  How much do you think she gets paid for these gigs?  At least with what’s shown, there’s no real preparation on Whitney’s part, apparently drawing a crowd doesn’t matter, her own fans often say they are unable to attend her events for a variety of reasons, so why are people paying her to attend their events? If any event planners are reading this, I am equally untalented....please send me money.  Thank you!

I wonder if it was a similar situation to the Folk Festival performance. She didn't get paid but was allowed to use the stage for filming her show. Since she had been mentioning her dance class in NYC on social media it seems as if it was just to get a group together. It does seem a little hinky that she was only mentioned on the event's fb page and not the main program.  She IS a pro at this sort of thing e.g. TedX Talk vs. Ted Talk and the fakey  award and performance at the National Museum of Dance.

Eta: Thanks for the correction Ketzel, I guess she isn't as big a fraud as I suspected...oh, wait a minute...

Not this time. It looks like she taught 3 classes that were definitely included in the Summit program:

Quote

Dancing for All: No BS

Activity Provider:
Whitney Way Thore

Do you have a body? Then this class is for you! Join Whitney Way Thore, star of TLC’s My Big Fat Fabulous Life, as she leads you through an upbeat dance class for ANY-body! Whitney founded No Body Shame in 2014, a global movement designed to help people of every variety live their lives fully, passionately, and free of shame. Dance without shame, work through your personal summits, and enjoy everything that your body can accomplish.

Sessions 1 & 2; Session 3 is for Women’s Track only

It seems as though she can get herself into an event like this (or TLC can) once, but there never seems to be a request for a second appearance.

I was thinking the same thing.   Might just be for her show and whoever wants can stand around and watch.

I recall seeing a performance years ago by a deaf ballerina. She was able to feel the music through vibrations in the floor. It was incredible, they should have someone like that performing instead of tweaking Twit whose disability is what now? It makes me ragey.

I’m not as interested in how much Whitney was paid as I am how much those people on the stage were paid to act like they cared.

A couple of them, at least, didn't earn their checks - it looks as if one or two people edged off the side of the stage and checked cellphones once the music started.  Small class for a event with so many attendees - not counting Todd and Buddy I think there were no more than 25 people in the group.

Twit's got another IG video of her "dancing" -- shaking arms & butt -- at the summit. There are actually ppl in front dancing along.

One fan asked her to "please cover your belly." Twit, with her usual grace & poise, replied that the woman should cover her mouth so she doesn't say shit like that.

ETA: I notice PMG is not filming this "performance." Perhaps that's why the first one has no audience. It was just a fake setup for a MBFFL episode.

If Twit is maintaining her girth for the sake of chub porn, which unfortunately sounds very likely the case, then she must weigh herself occasionally to make sure she doesn't lose any weight.  So maybe she isn't just yelling at people who compliment her on her lost weight.  She might actually be mad to hear them say that!

WTF did Todd think he was doing? His "gallop" wasn't even in rhythm with the music.

I hated this video. Once again we see Twit being a fraud, a SJW. Jews. Buddhists. Gays. Today it's physically & developmentally disabled people. The No Summit organizers should be ashamed for inviting her to their event.

I assume it'll be on MBFFL next year even tho PMG doesn't usually film this late into the year. I can't think of any other reason for Todd & Buddy to be there. Except that Twit always needs to be accompanied by sycophants, usually the parents. I'm surprised they, too, didn't tag along.

Im pretty sure that’s Glenn in the background on the stage in the pink shirt.

It's always remarkable to see Whitney dancing with a group of people all doing her "choreography," because it becomes so much more obvious how simple her dancing actually is. Everyone else is doing exactly what she's doing, and...they're BARELY MOVING.

I was just coming to say the same thing. This isn’t dancing. This is moving your arms and hips around.

Also - did anyone see the caption on her photo with Ice-T?  ‘If you are breathing, you’re acheiving’  Seriously? I get why Whitney would find that philosophy appealing but Ice-T was the keynote speaker at this thing. Is that the message of this summit? The people I know with challenges and disabilities would be offended by that kind of message.

That's definitely Glenn.

You guys have good eyes! And now that I see Glenn is there, I also spotted Hunter, standing on the right side of the screen of the first video. He's wearing a plaid shirt and if you look carefully, you can catch a glimpse of Babs behind him, too.  (Hunter can also be seen dancing in the second video.) So we have spotted Buddy, Todd, Glenn, Babs and Hunter. But where's Tal? Trouble in the "life partnership?" Or we just haven't found him?

I believe Ice T was referencing the Snoop Dog song, “ How You Livin’ “:

Money ain't everything dog, but I tell ya
If I didn't have it, i'd be labelled as a felon
So, as long as I breathe, I achieve
Keep god first in my life, I know that's right
And I prevail, whether I do or don't sell
It ain't about that, it's about giving back
We trying to get our live on, while you jib on...

which has a better meaning in that context.  I somehow think Whitney probably means it in the literal sense.  I will say that the “barriers” her weight put on her (although it is mostly of her own doing) are probably exhausting, so the fact that she hauls 400lbs??? around daily, she probably does see as an achievement of some sort. Although honestly, I think even if she were an average weight she would see her “dancing” as a major achievement as well.  I really think she’s just very narcissistic where even the most mundane of things should be heralded by all or you’re prejudiced in some way.

Geez, I bet she had to nap after the one performance. For the life of me, why can't she wear something other than tanks and spandex pants, especially while performing in front of a crowd. I also cant for the life of me understand how people find her inspiring what so ever, she is dancing like a whore. Also why does she need Babs, Glen and Hunter to follow her around to every event ? Are they back up chub rubs ?

Thanks for the background. I'm not up on Snoop Dog lyrics LOL. It does make more sense in context. I definitely think Whitney views her very existence as a glory to behold. Everything she does is amazing in her own mind. Her narcissism is extraordinary. Surviving at 400lbs+ (on a 5'1" frame) is more of a miracle than an achievement. An achievement would be doing something about it.

To Whitney and her sycophants... Asking Whitney to put clothes on for a public event is NOT body shaming. It's asking for appropriateness. Look around, do you see anyone else at that event wearing a bra top and spandex??? Nope. Not even the rest of the people on stage.  Just because someone wears appropriate clothes doesn't mean they are ashamed of their body. It means they have an understanding of what is acceptable.  Her manor of dress is completely inappropriate.

A tanktop wouldn't bother me; it's wearing a bra in public that I find gross. I'm sure she's the only one in Manhattan who's prancing around in her underwear in a public place.

I bet not; I ran into quite a few people wearing bras in public while growing up in NYC. The difference was they tended to be either schizophrenics, or high fashion models during the Madonna years. What's Whitney's excuse?

She's an "Influencer" . . . but I sure hope she doesn't influence anyone else to follow her fashion lead.

Ok I am old , please tell me is " werking" truly a dance? I tend to be somewhat prudish, so maybe that's my problem but it looks like something that would be done in club not out in public.I will admit that it may be I am just old fashioned in lot of things.

"Twerking" is a dance, but Whitney probably meant it like "working," once again appropriating another culture (this one gay/drag culture) by spelling it differently. See: clurb.

I think you mean that "werking" would be done at the "klerb."

That was painful to type.

I at first assumed so, but no longer believe that, having seen that first video where PMG is filming Twit & her gang. Now I believe she or her producers got wind of the summit & inveigled her way into it so she could show what a caring SJW she is in a S-6 ep of MBFFL.

Not necessarily. I was a speaker at a number of conferences on my area of expertise (information security) but was never paid, though I was "comped" my room for one of them.
