Exercise every day? Only if lifting a fork and shoveling in food is now considered exercise. Though with those huge portions I guess you COULD make the argument.

Explain to me why I'm supposed to feel at all sympathetic for this waste of skin and air? I feel sorry for the girlfriend (who is so emotionally beat down that she's not capable of standing up to him) and the daughter who in her darkest moments probably prays for this to be over so her life isn't totally destroyed.

I hear you sister! I was raised in a family of alcoholics, and to tell you the truth, I understand the enablers less than I understand the alcoholics.

 If she's not going to leave, he can't get out of bed, feed him what he is supposed to eat, and let him rant and rave. Go out so you don't have to listen to it.

Addicts don't have families, they have hostages.  She is another hostage. Her and the daughter.

good god, that infection in his legs is going to kill him. I would not be surprised if that's how this ends. I don't think they've ever shown an episode where the patient died from the obesity, but this may be a first.

Yes, he does NOT need weight loss surgery at this time. He needs a medically controlled diet. Once he is up and about then they can talk about weight loss surgery. How can they keep feeding him? 

Cellulitis is a horrible infection that you can die from. I don't think you can have it chronically but when the bacteria goes into the open wounds you get an infection, it is a type of staph with high fever.  Bedridden people are prone to it as are people with cracked skin. I don't think you have it constantly but he certainly is prone to getting it a lot. 

Every time he says "We WAS so poor but we WAS happy" I cringe. Poor girl TAKEN OUT OF SCHOOL????? 6 EGGS, 8 BUSCUITS AND FUCKING GROSS GRAVY ON TOP??????? His wife had 4 kids and got herself knocked up with TWO more by her lover? The wife looks extremely unhealthy herself like she can have a heart attack at any moment. Her weight is all high like up in her chest.

This is going to be another Penny. They too took money from friends and family just to piss it away.

With what they're spending on steaks and sausage and fancy food, not to mention all those medical supplies, I'll be they could have the $15k in three months. Or less.

I don't blame people for not donating money to them. There's no indication that it would go to transporting him, but only to maintain their current lifestyle.

It breaks my heart a little that his dad refinanced his home.  He loves his son.  His son's condition contributed to his stroke, I'm sure.

His poor father. Putting his own home on the line for this useless lump. We 45 minutes in and he has done absolutely nothing to show himself worthy of this kind of effort.

Moving him is going to be like "Operation Dumbo Drop". Though the elephants were a lot less trouble.

He's totally going to be one of those "weight loss surgery is a magic pill" patients. If he REALLY wanted to get out of bed and walk, he'd stop filling his gob with enough food to choke an elephant at every opportunity! No. Sympathy.

Now he's going to take his father's money, I hope the dad doesn't get left high and dry because he's not well either. I hate to say it but most of the patients on this show end up like that because of their own selfishness.

My "I can't even" is at like a level 57 right now. 

His breakfast was as much food as I cook for my family of five. And don't get me started on the burgers. I can't imagine why you've gained "a little weight", James. Can't imagine at all.

And bless his poor father's heart. The man just had a stroke, and here he is refinancing his house to pay for the transport to Houston. His stress level must be through the roof. Just what he needs while he recovers.

I'm almost afraid to see how this episode plays out. I barely made it through Tanisha. James may be the end of me.
