hoosiermom February 8, 2017 Share February 8, 2017 Me too! Do you think each season (if indeed there are more than 1) will feature a new group of imposters? I already want them to catch this batch. 3 Link to comment
zxy556575 February 8, 2017 Share February 8, 2017 Not sure what I expected but it was surprisingly good. Stretching the definition of "comedy", black or otherwise, to the limit, however. 7 Link to comment
paulvdb February 8, 2017 Share February 8, 2017 I only just found out about this show and wasn't sure if I wanted to watch it, but I'm glad that I did. 3 Link to comment
Chaos Theory February 8, 2017 Share February 8, 2017 (edited) The beginning of a beautiful friendship or at least a good slash pairing, Finnaly a non creeper 'Ezra'. Probs will turn into one eventually but for now I will enjoy the little factoid. Other then that it looks interesting enough to keep with it. Edited February 8, 2017 by Chaos Theory 4 Link to comment

politichick February 8, 2017 Share February 8, 2017 I enjoyed it, too. Had been intrigued by the commercials that began running months ago. Glad it was worth the wait! 4 Link to comment
chick binewski February 9, 2017 Share February 9, 2017 I don't remember the last time I saw a pilot that watchable. Only complaint is douchebro factor of husband #2 (and the brother, for that matter); I can see next week's script consisting of 'you like chicks woah that's so hot'. 4 Link to comment
AlleC17 February 9, 2017 Share February 9, 2017 I really enjoyed this a lot. I want her caught though. I did have to laugh at there being a You Tube video showing how to hang oneself with an orange extension cord. There is a You Tube for EVERYTHING. Looking forward to the next episode. 5 Link to comment

There is a You Tube for EVERYTHING. And OF COURSE it was in German! Made me giggle. Not that I'm an accent expert, but I totally bought Inbar Lavi being French. The Internet tells me she was born in Israel and moved to NY at 17; she doesn't have a noticeable accent on a couple of talk show videos. I'm looking forward to seeing the two older imposters at work. I also liked how Maddie (are we calling her that?) was all "ew" about her new target because, realistic. I'd prefer the hot coffee shop guy, too! Edited February 9, 2017 by Lord Donia 5 Link to comment
EtheltoTillie February 9, 2017 Share February 9, 2017 (edited) I love con artist shows. This year has brought a banner crop:. Good Behavior and the Hulu show Shut Eye. This one looks like it will be fun. I mean bumper crop/banner year. Edited February 9, 2017 by GussieK bumper/banner confused! Silly me. 2 Link to comment
Neurochick February 9, 2017 Share February 9, 2017 (edited) Interesting show but in order to buy it you have to suspend ALOT of belief in this age of smartphones and cameras everywhere. And her French accent was faker than fake, like Pepe Le Pew. I don't know how I feel about con artist shows though. Edited February 9, 2017 by Neurochick 2 Link to comment

UncleChuck February 10, 2017 Share February 10, 2017 I noticed a lot of little bits that seemed hilarious. One that I particularly liked was when Ezra was interrupted by the new husband (Federal Burrow of Investigation) and still had the orange extension cord noose on his neck. As they moved around the room, the section of cord still tied to the upper pipe was shown hanging with the plug dangling about six feet above the ground. It seems that Ezra was so inept at his suicide that his extension cord was two cords plugged together. When he jumped off the chair, he crashed to the ground because the two cords just became unplugged. Also, since I had programmed this into my DVR, I forgot that this was NOT a broadcast network show. Then when the blonde secretary was attempting to have sex with Ezra--she asked him to do it "in my butt". WHOA!!! ABC Standards and Practices would not let that one get by! 5 Link to comment
Neurochick February 10, 2017 Share February 10, 2017 (edited) I watched this show again and found it very interesting and more layered than a show like White Collar or even Leverage (which I got bored with very quickly). The three cons aren't working alone, they all work for someone called "the doctor," they seem to not know who he is. I wonder if it'll turn out to be some terrorist organization. "Ava" seems to wish for a "normal" life, not sure why she's a criminal. The scene in the Seattle coffee shop was interesting, she thought the manipulative little girl was great; the man she was with said, "that's not very feminist." "Ava" said something to him like, "are you telling me how to be a feminist?" It looks like "Ava" has some issues. Maybe she learned how to manipulate people to get what she wants and didn't want to stop. Edited February 10, 2017 by Neurochick 4 Link to comment
RedheadZombie February 11, 2017 Share February 11, 2017 I liked it more than I thought I would. And I'm shocked this show is on Bravo. The second husband who showed up - the goofy one - seemed so familiar that it drove me crazy. Googled and discovered he was Lisa's brother on Suburgatory. He's grown up! Not so sure he seems like the type who had enough money to steal. He's a simpleton. The humor mix in was a little weird at first. Now that I know the show is a black comedy, I'm more comfortable with it. I like the two husbands together, but I'm not so sure about adding another jilted spouse. Although I really like Ezra (and his mother!), I'm not rooting for Ava/Alice to be caught yet. I find that actress very compelling. It seems unwise to keep the long dark hair and brown eyes, though. She should have kept the blonde wig/blue contacts for her next gig. I like Ava's two cohorts. 2 Link to comment
heavysnaxx February 11, 2017 Share February 11, 2017 (edited) This was...ok but I was laughing at stuff I wasn't supposed to laugh at, namely, the idea that 3 people committed 6+ months of 100% of their lives to split 30% of -- what was it? -- $1.3M. Seriously, I think I earn more per hour. And I get evenings and weekends off, and keep my own identity/family/friends/hair/Previously.tv moniker. The other thing was that the show seemed like an accidental mash-up of The Catch and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia -- Ezra already looked distractingly like Dennis to me, and he and DudeBro are developing a Dennis-Mac dynamic, IMO. I wonder if the "bromance" and a second husband was an afterthought. I felt like I was watching The Hangover or any one of that genre's many male pairings. Maybe if the other Husband were written differently, maybe like a Leonard (or Sheldon HAHA!) from the Big Bang Theory then I would've liked it. I'm not sure...... I agree with the above poster that H2 (Husband #2) could not have that much money. Link to comment

Kimmel77 February 14, 2017 Share February 14, 2017 This seems okay so far. I wasn't expecting so much humour though, and i'm not sure it's really setting the right tone for the show overall. I was also a bit disappointed at the reveal that 'Ana' is effectively a contractor and not an independent con artist, it takes out some of the cunningness & sassiness of what makes an alluring conwoman. 1 Link to comment

I don't know, $130,000 each for six months of work isn't nothing. It's not big time con money, but not too bad, especially since all expenses are paid for the six months so it's pure take home.
