Same shit, different episode.

It should actually read Tyler struggles with Cate's depression because he is the one up in arms about it and complains about it with everyone.

I can't believe anyone would allow Ryan to have Bentley unsupervised after how cracked out he looked in the last episode.

I wonder how long it's been since Maci has even seen Ryan.  Maci is SOO busy trying to figure out how she got pregnant and planning a wedding.  Aren't most of her drop offs handled by Jen?  I'm sure Jen never relayed her special snowflake Ryan was cracked out and had no business anywhere near humans, much less Bentley.

Jen is in denial.

she's trying so hard to just keep the peace & make sure everyone's "happy" (whatever that means) that she's not acknowledging problems.

I wish I could give her the advice that my mom once gave me "not everyone's going to be happy all at the same time so stop trying!"

I am praying that Bentley's "weekend with Ryan" is basically Jen and Larry taking care of Bentley, with Ryan occasionally making an appearance. I think that is what usually happens on his visits.  I don't think Ryan should have unsupervised visits with Bentley, and he definitely should not be allowed to drive him anywhere. That is a scary thought!!

Is Jen the child of an alcoholic?

This is how much I suck.... I'm having surgery tomorrow and I'm wondering if the general anesthesia will be out of my system enough for me to be alert to watch this friggin' show and then come comment with you all.  Priorities.

Hey all, I have something to share.

My friend is in Vegas. She posted a photo of herself and her husband with Dr. Drew. They saw him in one of the casinos. He is in Vegas for some podcast show. I immediately commented to her I wish I had been there. I would ask him a few questions. We both posted laughing emojis. She knows what I was referring to. I then messaged her and asked her to ask him if he watches TM in full and why does he handle the cast with kid gloves. She had a few drinks so she was game. Here goes. No, he doesn't watch the show in its entirety. He  gets a synopsis of what has happened on the season with each cast member, but he does watch certain scenes that will be discussed and shown on the reunion show. As for how he handles the cast, he treats them no different than anyone else he deals with including patients. It is his "normal demeanor".

I love this. (Well, not how Dr. Drew handles patients/cast/demeanor,  but that she asked him and he answered!) Thank you for getting her to  ask!

There was a lot of TM research going on between this and me interviewing the local Frozen Yogurt shop employees.

and CofC, good luck and have a speedy recovery!

Keep up the work everyone!

Drew *smdh* you should not be hosting the reunion gigs. Now we know why he just can't bother to get a grip on what is really going on.

“One day I went over to [the older girl’s house] with my sister and some other people, and for some reason or another, everyone else left but this older girl and me. For the next several hours, while we were alone together in her house, it was sex act after sex act after sex act. It went on all day. She had us doing everything she could think of, one thing after another. There’d be a break and then it would start up again. And when it was finally over, I didn’t know what the hell had happened,” Tyler wrote in his new book, according to the Daily Mail.

This is an actual excerpt from the book????!  I'm not commenting on the content but the writing itself.  This is a published book???

I didn't know either. I did a quick Google search because I was wondering if Butch was involved (he wasn't). Apparently Tyler discussed it in the book he and Catelynn "wrote" but I never read it. Here are the details:

http://hollywoodlife.com/2015/03/03/tyler-baltierra-sexually-abused-teen-mom-book-conquering-chaos/

Oh, the book. That is why I didn't know. I have not read any of the books by any one of these cast members.

I immediately didn't think Butch would be involved. I did think it might have been a relative. Sad to read that someone took advantage of Tyler in that way. I have heard stories from guys who mentioned how they were victimized by older women. Sad to say, many of the females were friends of their sisters. Off-topic, I just read yesterday how Ike Turner was sexually abused by a female neighbor when he was six years old.

OK.  I will be the one to say it.

I do not believe Tyler was assaulted by anyone.  Nor do I believe his story of attempted suicide.   To me Tyler likes to spin tales that make him seem a sympathetic character. I know it isn't right to doubt such a story, but this to me has the same feels as Farrah saying James Deen raped her.

I know what you mean, but it just seems to tie in with the things that Cate has mentioned (Tyler wanting sex all the time per the Couples Therapy show) and this:

Quote

This horrific incident left Tyler wanting to have sex with girls his own age, but they were only 10 years old. And if they didn’t “put out,” he dumped them. But when Catelynn gave in to Tyler’s sexual desires, after 10 months of dating, they went all out – “banging in his mom’s trailer.”

“Once we’d done it once, we were doing it all the time! After waiting so long we turned into crazy, horny teenagers. It was so bad,” Catelynn said.

It just seems to fit the pattern of what sometimes happens to victims of abuse at such a young age. Not always, but some sexual abuse survivors tend to pursue sex in a reckless manner. He may have exaggerated the details, but even that I won't hold it against him because he was 9 years old.

The suicide story, I am still sticking with my opinion that he was pulling a fast one with that tale.

You'd think one who was sexually abused as a child would be hyperviligant or protective of their own child instead of passing it off to April and all the losers and addicts who pass in/out of her crack den in Boogietown.

Surgery went well and I can go home tomorrow. Until then my eyes are like Ryan's!!!

You'd think so, but it happens.

So glad to read your surgery is done and it went well! Take it easy. If you need meds, I know a girl in the Holler who has a connection. lol

So, is it a condition of the shared parenting plan that Amber is responsible for school clothes -- so she send a fuck you to Gary and Christina by spending $900 on 4 impractical outfits.

How dare Amber flounce into Gary's house with $900 in "boutique" shit for Leah. Is Leah supposed to wear a hundred dollar dress at recess? Is she playing dodge ball in that?  If she's smart, Kristine will take all of that shit back back to the store and flip it for overalls and Keds at Children's Place.

But Amber won't pay back child support?? And I love the way Matt flipped that card to the cashier . No doubt it's linked to Ambers bank account.

The dress wasn't $900. The four outfits, some bows, two pairs of shoes (that will fall apart within 3 weeks of the school year) and a bracelet were $900. Shopping done by Amber, woman who is not a mother and has never had to dress the child for school.

Well, that's only slightly better! She probably hasn't even worn everthing! I could never spend that kind of money on clothes, unless you're a grown ass adult that needs it for work, not something "boo boo" will outgrow in 6 months. Unbelievable. You can't buy the neglect you imposed, and continue to impose.

And why couldn't Cate call and say she'd be late? Perhaps they would have accommodated her by moving the appt. back 15 minutes.

She didn't call because she didn't want the appointment with this new psychiatrist. He/she would most likely requires a drug screen.  Catelynn got high on the rocks with her friend after the "panic attack", the day before this new psychiatry appointment. Her drug use would reflect in the screen and this private practice psychiatrist wouldn't keep her as a client. Blowing off the appointment buys her a little more time for her to resolve ambivalence and figure out what the hell she wants to do.

I only caught last week's episode. I am guessing since this is her first appointment, and with how full the schedules are for that doctor, I suppose if she misses or is late, she'd have to wait again for a new appointment. I think Cate mentioned last week that it took weeks to get the appointment. It is vital to get to that first appointment because that is when the doctor would go over everything with her. I am sure the appointment was scheduled for a certain amount of time. Psychiatrists' offices tend to reschedule if you can't make it. As I mentioned before, I think she did that on purpose to avoid seeing the doctor knowing she is not being honest.

Cate: "can you say Carly?"

Nova:  "no".

Nova has no more fucks to give about this Carky bitch. Shes had it with this Carly shit and so have I.

Cate brought up Carly to manipulate Tyler in that moment.

Why the hell is that "therapist" bringing her purse into the session?  I think that's a hotel room and not her office.

Omg. Is this even a therapist?  She's expressing sucidial ideation and the therapist isn't screening appropriately.

Now she's telling K why she feels that way? No. Does this copyroom chick even know how to do something as basic as Socratic Questioning/Guided Discovery?  Wth. I hate when my science and art is portrayed on television incorrectly.

I become more and more baffled by this shit. Who the fuck is Kathleen? I see she has moved from the stock room at Kinko's to what? The Sheraton? Did Catelynn rent this room? Because Cate was already on the couch when Dr Quack came in the room with her purse.

Cate is nearly talking suicide and Kathleen is spewing bullshit. Is she on MTV staff?

This may be kinda nitpicky, but why don't some of these people have any furniture? Gary's living room had a TV the size of Rhode Island, one rickety office chair and that was it. And in Maci's dining room under a big chandelier sat one small hi-top table with two flimsy looking stools and nothing else. Such emptiness. They spend a small fortune on takeout food & coffee, a gazillion pets, cars and such but can't get any decent furniture.

I think Catelynn is so use to being in day to day/survival mode and now that she no longer has to live that way, she has no idea what to do with herself.

Tyler was so disgusted when Cate was cuddled up against him.

Like Nova wants to be reminded of the child that escaped! lol

Gary has his old furniture last episode. I think both Maci and Gary are waiting for new furniture to arrive. We lived on lawn chairs while waiting for our living room furniture (but sofa was built in USA, so it was worth it) but it was embrassing and uncomfortable. LifeProTip: Don't get rid off your old furniture because the salesperson swears that you'll have the new furniture by X date.

I had the same expression as Gary and Kristina at the $900 of impractical clothing. Leah's such a bright, lively kid.

Ryan should not get Bentley unsupervised, and he should not have a dog.

That Kathleen woman is terrible.

Head pokes up. Someone say girl in holler? I can hook you up with some mean prilosec and yeast infection pills. Seems like someone is always pushing those on me, even though I have no need for either

$900? Oh Amber. On the other hand....Matt, if she wants to spend 9,000 on her daughter you have zero rights to talk about it.
