Watched it now!

My initial thoughts... Would love to hear your opinions!

- Lydia in the morning in her bathrobe in full on night club false eyelashes! No!

- Lydiot pronounces 'something' as sUNthing... I rewound and watched to double check! She said it more than once.

- $35,000 Australian dollars per night for the Royal Bridge = $27,000 US dollars = £18,600 British pounds. Pricey!

- Jackie and Ben and "we use an interesting form of contraception, that ..um... that...." Jackie: "That was embarrassing"

Hmmmm.... Me wonders? Sex where you can't get impregnated?!!!

- Jackie nervous about her fertility and "I trust my angels, BUT..." that doesn't sound like the words of a psychic (and I can err on the side of being a believer).

- Lydia greeting someone at her door... Then we find out it's her brother! She greeted him like a stranger! I had no idea that was a family member! Lydia is odd...

Lydia is such a lying liar who lies. I think she did not think the girls would break the 4th wall and now is trying so hard to backpedal because she thinks its not on camera so it doesn't count.

 

WTF is the contraception method? Dr was just like .....ok, moving on....

First Lydia says she talks about the girls but she doesn't think that's gossiping so she's admitting that she does engage in conversation that has to do with the other women. She claims that she doesn't know what Jackie and Chyka are referring to but she had no problems denying Gina's claim that Lydia had told Gina about the 'gossip' in question. How can you deny something if you truly don't know what they're referring to? 

 

And one of the few times that PF actually makes sense - Lydia stood by while the women went at PF for defending Lydia. Lydia had no voice when the other women were speaking up but the moment PF called her out for keeping mum, she blew up at Lydia. The funny thing is that her first defense was that she doesn't deal with conflict the way PF does but then she reacted toward PF the same way PF would react, lol. It very much seems as though Lydia doesn't speak up confidently against the other women because she knows she's guilty of the accusation AND she knows that the women will take her on. She knows that PF values their friendship and she took advantage of that by lashing out at PF when she should have used some of that fiestiness to defend or squash the conversation at the time it happened. 

 

I really liked the scene with Gina and Gamble. They had a spat and somehow avoided a big production out of it. I wouldn't expect it but I hope that Gina expressed her regret to Gamble about her change in behaviour the same way she admitted that to the camera. I really like Gamble. She seems like a genuinely sweet, laid back and good natured person who can still speak up when she thinks someone's trying to wrong her.

Lydia looked like she thought "I'm so glad PF arguing. Maybe they will hate her instead of me." Yes, she is stupid enough to not realize they can hate two people. I did enjoy watching Lydiot and PF turn on each other. I can't stand either of them but love to watch them

 

I'm just so glad we're out of Dubai. Between this show, RHOBH and even The Amazing Race, I have seen enough of the Atlantis for a lifetime. 

 

After the first episode of Dubai on RHOBH I watched the documentary "The Slaves of Dubai"...then The Amazing Race and RHOM shoves more Dubai on me and all I could think of was all the horrible stuff I have seen and heard about Dubai (from articles and the documentary).

 

So Chyka had to rent for a few hours the suite where Kyle & LVP stayed...lol

I'm inclined to think that Chyka paid for the suite, while Kyle & LVP were comped, but that's my bias talking. I'd really like to know net worths per franchise. Cheshire seems the richest, while Melbourne & BH would be closely tied, IMO.

 

Chyka reminds me of a cross between LVP & Adrienne, in that she takes full advantage of the show to push her brand. Unlike LVP, she's stayed out of the drama & is well-liked by the ladies. She owned the last 3 episodes like a boss and I'm impressed by her business savvy. Gina could learn from her on using the franchise to establish a brand unobnoxiously.

 

Gamble is easily my favourite and she looked amazing in the black dress at the Glasshouse dinner. I like how half of this group is self made business women in their own right. I'd love to see Janet at work instead of playing runtelldat; PF as well.

 

You can tell most of these women knew each other and have agreed between them where to draw the line. Their arguments seem rather petty because of their strongly held 4th wall. I'm waiting for someone to snap and get into the gist of the rumours on camera. 

 

** Edited to exclude Adrienne from wealth rankings. Top would be LvP, Camille, Chyka & Cheshire's Dawn Ward. Adrienne's in an entirely different league.

My opinion on this show in the last couple of episodes is basically that their Dubai trip is a million, trillion or even zillion times better than the RHoBH trip. It was crazy how ignorant they were of everything over there, it went into funny territory for me. We did get some serious jewellery porn but I didn´t really enjoy it because of all the invisible slaves who keep everything going while stupid bitches like Janet drool over it. I loved their fights and how their alliances keep changing, and Jackie´s face when it´s twisting and distorting is worth the lives of at least 4 other real howives. How long is Lydia gonna keep up trying to convince anyone that she doesn´t know about this rumor she´s accused of spreading? I´m sure the others are making it way, way worse than it is but I don´t believe she´s innocent. I think when she was talking about the rumors Jackie put on her best "I´m listening, please go on" face and egged her on, and stupid Lydia didn´t know what was happening. Pettifleur is very entertaining in her immaturity and strange arrogance. Even though I´m not a superfan of Gina´s I think it´s nice when the ladies are not all on her back but actually give her credit for the sane and valid stuff she says. The astrology-therapist was brilliant, so funny to hear her talk about Lionel Richie. What a nutter, I´d believe Jackie´s "angels" before I´d go to her for therapy. Well, if I desperately needed to have my head expanded I might try to look her up. I love Gamble, she´s probably one of the longest running nice ones that has ever been a part of these shows. She doesn´t get dragged into the squabbles, I hope she keeps it up.

You've got to love Lydia Logic. She can gossip and talk shit about all of her friends. She can complain to Pettifleur about all of the women ganging up on her and no one having her back. But some how when arguments start to erupt, it's Jackie's fault for bringing up Lydia's gossip and Pettifleur's fault for defending Lydia. Pettifleur is getting raked over the coals by the other women and Lydia is all "lip gloss, lip gloss, lip gloss. Huh? Whut?" Lydia is such a self serving asshole.

We really didn't need two fertility scenes, but I did think Ben wanting all of his swimmers to be Michael Phelps was bro-y funny. What on earth is their method of having sex where you can't get pregnant? Oral? Anal? Ugh at the thought of those two having any sex.

I can't believe that Janet and Brian have been married this entire time.

Didn't we see Janet melt her wedding rings in season 1? I feel as if Brian may have wandered more than the one-time Thai massage for her to end a long marriage that she loved being in. As men age, some of them want a nurse and caretaker and she's probably enjoying her freedom. Perhaps they remain married for financial reasons.

Aren't she and PF property developers? Would love to see more of that.

I'm bored silly by the fertility stuff, especially since it appears to be a faked storyline. I do love Jackie's flirty little day dresses. I swear she already looks pregnant to me in some scenes - the loose top at the doc's office, and a tiny tummy bulge in the jewelry-shopping dress.

Lydia has probably gotten away with looking pretty and being stupid and evasive, but this ruthless gang is fencing her in about her discrepancies.

Gina is such a hardboiled realist that it makes me laugh when we see her basking in her celebrity glow. I think her one weakness may be when people flatter her about her celebrity.

When Lydia was busy harassing a terrified Figaro, I kept imagining  Figaro's internal monologue with him being pissed at Johanna because they promised each other that they would run away together when Lydia was gone.

If Lydiot  is spreading rumors about Chyka and her family than she can go fuck herself with a cactus. We see that family together and Chyka and Bruce {right name?} have an obviously tight, supportive and loving relationship.  Yeah, the daughter is annoying, but that's to be expected at that age.

Lydiot must have some awesome moves in the bedroom for her husband to put up with her.

And I cheered silently when the hive went after Petty Flour.  She deserves so much more.

eta:  Chyka look absolutely gorgeous on the last nite.  That blue dress was EVERYTHING.

When Lydia says she doesn't know what she said, it actually looks like she wants one of the other women to say the rumor on camera and take the blame.  She should try a little more subtlety next time (and yes there will be a next time...)

Call me old fashioned but when I decided I wanted to have children I saw my OB, I didn't run off to a fertility clinic first thing.  Jackie is only 35, she said she was regular to the day, most OB's don't consider a there is a problem until you have been trying at least a year. And yes, what is their method of birth control?  My mind went to other ways of grown up fun...lol.

I have decided that Chyka can plan my next event, everything she touches is gorgeous.  

Lydia needs a story line and this is the best she can do?  Figaro has had it with her too, he was not having it with her, dogs and kids will tell you the truth!

Gamble seems so normal, her getting excited to see her new name on her place card seemed so genuine and the fact she is getting along with everyone, she has come a long way.

My fascination with Dubai has diminished, the hotel looks more and more like a Disney creation every time the Housewives go there or SATC filmed there.  The glamour looks so artificial.

I'm pretty sure the Jackie and Ben from season one is still going strong despite being overshadowed by the heinous duo of the Lydiot and Petty Flour as well as Gamble taking over the season with her wedding in many ways.  These two had a strong and silly set of egos the first season and even shine shine shining through last season.  It just didn't get much camera time this one.  But the whole fertility thing was all about basically once again telling us how sexual the two are and that Jackie has eggs of a twenty something year old.  We got that a couple of times.  In case you missed it the first.  And Ben got to almost giggle like Gollum getting back the one ring as he once again shared too much information that does not come off as something to salaciously covet but instead sounds too much like an instance of the more you talk about it the less you are actually doing it (and maybe that is the actual form of birth control used here -- abstinence).
