Ubiquitous March 23, 2016 Share March 23, 2016 (edited) Yes, Max supposedly had a drug problem and was sent away to one of those ranch type places in the boonies. That's why I'm so bothered by how hard she came down on Shay. She should know first hand how hard addiction is and be a bit more sympathetic, IMO. I wonder if Lisa Vanderbucks blames these people for Max's drug addiction problem? Is it possible that Lisa believes that Jax draws in the female customers (maybe not as true now as when they first started filming this show)? He probably flirts with them and they find it flattering. You might be onto something. I recall Stassi saying (and several other girls agreeing) that she avoided Jax that season b/c he has a way to charming them into doing things. Edited March 23, 2016 by Ubiquitous 1 1 Link to comment
The Mighty Peanut March 23, 2016 Share March 23, 2016 (edited) Does any of the cast, with the exception of James & Lala actually still work at SUR? I feel like the rest of the cast just goes in for "shifts" when they have to film certain things. I remember hearing that somewhere. If you look at their social media and stuff, they are never working at SUR lol it's hilarious. I think Lisa especially hates Stassi & Kristen now because they both explicitly have said they will never work at SUR again, even if it's for show purposes like the other cast members. Stassi mentioned on a podcast she was on (yes, I am all about the podcasts these days) that she thinks Lala got the amazing edit she did this season (she said the cast is annoyed cause they left out a bunch of stuff that made Lala look bad. Like pulling a knife out on Faith!) because Lala actually still works at SUR and they need to have a link to the restaurant since basically everyone in the cast doesn't work there anymore. I agree with all of this. Tom and Ariana alluded to it on Pumped Podcast a few weeks ago (as well as sharing all the texts between Scheana and Ariana's mom). They couldn't share any specifics but they said the entire cast met with LVP to discuss matters related to their schedules and that everyone was on the same page except Scheana, who is LVP's pet, but who later complained about how sick of SUR she was. I felt it was very heavily implied that no one wanted to work at SUR because they have VPR money, but Lisa wants to keep them on as a draw to the restaurant.Stassi is on the money. Scheana testifies on Lisa's behalf in court. Lala plays the game. James is happy to work at PUMP to promote his DJ career. These people accordingly get the most sympathetic/hypocritical treatment from LVP. Telling Dianna to suck a dick was nothing compared to James' being blackout drunk at work and telling the other server he was a worthless loser who'll never amount to anything in life. But James begged and went along with Lisa's dog and pony show, so he got the "second chance". I can see both sides of this, I guess. If I was becoming wealthy from a television show I wouldn't want to keep my job as a server. On the other hand, they are "making it" in show business (for now) because they are on a show about having jobs as servers while trying to make it in show business. With no SUR there's really no VPR, and if they only filmed for VPR then it does lose an air of legitimacy. It's just, I don't know, as much as I'm addicted to this show there's so much bullshit where I just desperately want someone to break the fourth wall. Like, when Lisa implied Kristen and Stassi somehow snuck in when they obviously were driven into Lisa's gated BH neighborhood with a camera crew, allowed in (probably after confirming they're on the filming schedule), and let through at least two more gates and what I'm sure is a lot of security to keep riff raff out of LVP's house. Or when Jax is like "I'm suspended from SUR, how ever will I make ends meet". I think I yelled "OH, COME ON" at the TV. Edited March 23, 2016 by The Mighty Peanut 4 Link to comment
KungFuBunny March 24, 2016 Share March 24, 2016 Shay's addiction...I still think this was exaggerated as a storyline for the show. It was a way for Shay to make appearances and pull in a little Bravo paycheck. I think they ALL party with all kinds of illegal substances plus alcohol. Scheana's ignorance to addiction is believable...I think partying is NORMAL to her especially with all the people she hangs with at all the clubs they go to. Talking to any of these people slurring words is what she sees everyday. One sentence taking 2 minutes to complete is also normal to her. Lala and her "trips". A bunch of rich guys inviting you on a trip somewhere are not doing so for arm candy at dinner. You're gonna do some freaky deaky shit or you won't be invited on another trip. This might explain her "DEAD" eyes. She's not just giving blowjobs and handjobs...unless she's learned how to perform these acts using her butthole. 2 Link to comment

Sun-Bun March 25, 2016 Share March 25, 2016 (edited) I was just in Las Vegas and cracked my ass up giggling over a local entertainment magazine, because it featured a full page ad with "JAX"((looking especially creepy in the face)) appearing at some douchetacular club in one of the casinos there. Now I wish I'd taken a picture of the ad, because I just found it so ridiculous that people would actually go to a club just to see JAX---or that JAX actually gets paid for such bullshit...and what does JAX actually do the whole time while he's there at the douchey club? Does he just sit there and drink, dance and pose for selfies or is he actually fixing drinks?? I guess this is how he makes his living when he's not "working" at SUR. Mind you, this ad followed several similar ads of random reality show celebs making similar club appearances, like Scott Disick and some Bad Girls Club girl. Do you know that there are people which invites you for the pleasure of who you are, without having to "pay back" by opening your legs, mouth or butthole ? I travelled a lot, went to places I never imagined I could have been, had some days on yachts, travelled in private jets, went to amazing restaurants and... no, I never had to prostitute myself for that !!!! Those comments are so insulting ! 3 Link to comment
itainttippithebird March 27, 2016 Share March 27, 2016 W/R/T Lala's claim that she travels often with rich men but doesn't have sex with them - I'm a professor of sociology and a colleague who studies elites find that this is actually a super common practice! Wealthy men (or the club promoters who work on their behalf) often invite groups of models (or "models") to travel with them to Ibiza, Miami, Paris, etc. They are then used as living indicators of wealth and power by men who are brokering deals, building networks, or just interested in conspicuous consumption. The models rarely actually sleep with the guys - it hurts your reputation/availability as a VIP table accessory. Some will try to parlay these trips into a relationship with the whales, but it rarely works out. So it is actually NOT unfathomable to get whisked away to exotic locales and not have to put out for it! 5 Link to comment
Sun-Bun March 27, 2016 Share March 27, 2016 When I was much younger and hotter, I had an older male friend fly me up, get me a hotel room and just spend the weekend out with him years ago. It wasn't remotely exotic((hello, it was in Wisconsin!)), but he was lonely and just enjoyed my company and showing me off to his buddies and taking me out to dinner with him. I went along with it because I was a bored young single and figured, "Hey, free weekend trip!" He made it very clear that there was no sexual intentions/expectations there either, he just wanted to treat me to a nice weekend in his city. If that sorta thing happened to my random ass years ago in my random city, I actually do think sexy model types in LA like LaLa and her ilkprobably do get approached by older rich dudes just to hang out with them in exotic locales. Granted, I could see where regular outings like those would give other folks the wrong idea...if it were an ongoing activity for a gal, then I honestly would wonder about her promiscuity. 1 Link to comment
Rebecca March 28, 2016 Share March 28, 2016 (edited) Apparently, he had taken molly that night, and Kristen said that when he takes molly he talks and talks and talks. What a fucking winner! Not that it's great for anyone but dude is like 33 years old! These people! Also, Sandoval seems like he always talks and talks..but he never really gets to the fucking point. Guess his brain is fried. Also, it really annoys me when people refer to the people on this show as "kids"... They are all 30+ except Lala, James and Stassi FFS! Just cuz they act 18 or 21 doesn't mean they are! I just want to deck Lisa when she calls them "kids" ... Is the ~amazing~ 'Pandy' a kid, Lisa? She's 30. If Lisa blames the VR "kids" for max using drugs she should just go ahead and blame herself...he wouldn't know these trash bags if she didn't hire them and then be stupid enough to have him hang around them. Not to mention be on this show. Edited March 28, 2016 by Rebecca Link to comment
jaync March 28, 2016 Share March 28, 2016 I wonder if Lisa Vanderbucks blames these people for Max's drug addiction problem? That's doubtful, since Max's problems seemed to have occurred prior to Lisa becoming a RH, which was before she even opened/starting running SUR. Do you know that there are people which invites you for the pleasure of who you are, without having to "pay back" by opening your legs, mouth or butthole ? Sure, but that doesn't seem to be the case here, given LaLa said she's the only one who doesn't put out on these particular trips. 2 Link to comment

SUR was already around way before RHBH. The skankitude of the staff is what prompted a show being made around SUR. Lisa is literally profiting hard from this debauchery she encourages and she put her son in the middle of it by having him work there and be on this show. In my opinion, hanging with this crew is definitely not a good place for someone with drug issues. Edited March 28, 2016 by Rebecca 3 Link to comment
jaync March 28, 2016 Share March 28, 2016 RH BH started in 2010, SUR opened with Lisa and Guillermo in 2004. SUR was already around way before RHBH. You're right, my bad. I was thinking specifically about SUR Lounge, which didn't open until 2012, and had its grand opening on RHoBH. So, it is possible that Max may have been around the chucklefucks some back in the day before they transferred to the newer addition (though he was a teen at the time, and they quite a bit older). 1 Link to comment
glowbug March 28, 2016 Share March 28, 2016 I hadn't realized SUR had been around that long. I confused the lounge opening with the restaurant opening as well. I think it's because Villa Blanca, which apparently is newer than SUR, was featured more on RHBH in the beginning. If they mentioned SUR at all before the lounge storyline it was only briefly. Too bad for her it only lasted like 12 episodes. Edited March 29, 2016 by yourmomiseasy 5 Link to comment

OhIgetit March 29, 2016 Share March 29, 2016 I don't get all the drug addict references in regards to Max. On RHOBH it was discussed in the sense that he was a teen and experimenting with pot. If we had a previous addiction the last thing the dentist would have prescribed would be opiate painkillers 1 1 Link to comment
