If I'd known Yasmin was going to be on the show I'd have put up with the Three Stooges just to see her.

Yasmin did stumble over a word on the teleprompter this morning and Willie corrected her one beat before she said it correctly. (I forget what the word was now - she was reading the former Republican's op-ed.) We don't want to set the audience's expectations too high in Mika's absence.

Yeah but Mika doesn't correct herself.  She just keeps stumbling thru like she couldn't care less, which she couldn't.

Yasmin is the epitome of class. I just adore her.  Mika would do well to look to her as a role model, instead of strutting around 30 Rock or her basement like her shit doesn't stink.

And btw, where the fuck is she?  Not that I care,  i don't even watch when she or Joe or both or on. It's too much in the morning.

Noah Rothman noted that Tom Nichols would not support a Democrat if they violated the Constitution.

Noah said Elizabeth Warren's wealth tax is probably unconstitutional & Kamala Harris advocates against constitutional norms every day by threatening to use executive orders if Congress doesn't agree with her.

Noah wants to pin down Tom for letting Kamala or Elizabeth do whatever Trump is doing now.

Tom said that Kamala or Warren's bad policies won't get implemented.

Tom will vote against Devon Nunes & Kevin McCarthy. He doesn't want the GOP to stay a cult of personality.

Joe is a deficit hawk & opposed to Bernie Sanders socialist policies.

Joe is against societal instability.

Joe complained about some of Obama's executive orders.

Noah doesn't want to go from a frying pan into a fire with Kamala.

Noah wants Kamala to respect the constitution.

Noah is mad at Elizabeth Warren for saying Ferguson was murdered by a white police officer.

Joe said he called her out on twitter.

Apparently somebody knows her value and is not having any of Rothman's bullshit this morning.   If I'd known Yasmin was going to be on the show I'd have put up with the Three Stooges just to see her.   You have to scroll down a little to see the screen shot from the show.

Teddysmom you rock!  If I knew how to make this my screensaver I'd do it . . . fabulous!

Noah Rothman is such an Eddie Haskell.   Slimy, smirking weasel.

Squinty hauled his ass to the bunker set today.  Must've half killed him.   It was 8 o'clock before I even realized Mrs. Scarborough wasn't there.   That's how little impact she has on MJ.

Eddie Haskell.  Yes!  Perfection my friend . . . thank you!

Looks like people on Twitter hate Punchable Noah as much as we do. He's trending! Everybody wants to punch him!

Oh goodness Eliot, thanks for posting this.  I normally have a much higher pain threshold for him but today there was just no end to him.  Sometimes you are not the smartest kid in the class Noah.  He's going to get chased off of everything like his boss Podhoretz if he doesn't knock it off as his discourse this morning did nothing to elevate the topic at hand.

Check your messages. It should be doable.  Phone or desktop.

I don't know how Yasmin sat there with Rothman and Nichols and didn't beat them over the head with something. What a couple of head up the ass insufferable idiots.

It's hard to apply a full-on anti-aging skincare system while screaming at NR.  Yeah Noah, Trump is bad but Kamala will be worse??!!!  You DO know what the frying pan into the fire means?

I know you are but what am I? . . . infinity . . . please do not let Pee Wee Herman back on the show again.

And it's just poor form to interrupt one's skincare routine.  Infinity.

You’re welcome, but I have bad news for you. Podhoretz and his lumpy blue sweater were back on MSNBC the other night. I think it was Hardball.

Joe, Tom Nichols & Noah Rothman, the triumverate of self important "I'll neg on Dem policies while saying I'm no longer a Republican, just so they let me back in the club later" assholes.

HARD PASS

I’m actually a Tom Nichols fan. I don’t find him to be self important at all. He is really funny on Twitter.

I like Tom too for the most part but he can be a tad thin skinned when criticized.  I love hearing about Carla the Cat and his wife and family but he can be a bit of a toad when folks disagree with him.  He and my views on the middle class and how we got here do not mesh as I am living it right now.  I am always happy to see him when he is on MJ but I don't think he fully realizes how lucky he is to be on the good end of the stick these days as many of the pundits on the air tend to be these days.

I missed the first part of the show due to issues with the DVR. Mika is back. She must have a new makeup artist.

Joe & Eddie are discussing the NYT 1619 project about slavery & race issues.

Joe said that Nixon was more progressive on racial issues than LBJ in 1957.

Joe likes to discuss Madisonian democracy.

Joe's backdrop disapeared at 7 35. Joe is in a dark studio with Samsung logo in the background.

Just turned on to listen to a congressman from Maryland (Anthony Brown?); he was talking about the Taliban and plans to pull out of Afghanistan by a certain date.  He is an Iraq War vet.  Joe (or maybe it was Meeka) asked him a question, he answered, and then...seconds of dead air.  Finally, Joe mumbled something and then said "Mika".....a couple more seconds of dead air...and then she stumbled a question out.  Stumbled.

This is like watching a high school (I am being generous in not saying elementary or middle) morning news effort; I saw plenty of those back-in-the-day.  At least those kids showed up and made the utmost effort to "put on a show" - something neither of The Twins seems to care about.

Mika was excited to talk about the latest on KYV. It's an in depth interview with Kasie! who is still pregnant & is worried about what will happen to her show during her maternity leave.

Ooof I literally cringed when she was handing off to a break and said this.  It's Kasie's first baby and I am sure she has many concerns but I would bet the first 100 are baby centric.  I know she is ambitious but geez Meeks as a mother she was in such a rush to plug her KYV she buried the lede.

Joe was upset that Omar & Talib partnered with an anti Israel group.

Except Joe the group is about the treatment of Palestinians, which is heinous, not the country itself.   He also tweeted something about it this weekend and was taken to task for being, as usual, a jackass who doesn't understand issues.

HA! I saw that hot mess today, too. I guess MSNBC is so broke paying the show's namesake and his bride tens of millions of dollars to NOT show up at work that all they can afford to hire are the people who got kicked out of the A/V Club in high school.

So embarrassing.

Seems like Mika isn't doing a very good job expanding her base. She has to continually return to the MSNBC well to get new source material - whether it's another show host or her hapless intern/book victim - rather than anyone outside the company family.

I imagine they'll get people to fill in or they'll put it on hiatus until she returns. Has she not discussed this with her boss?

Katie Tur has been off since April and she seems to still have a job. Yasmin took off 4+ months and she had a job when she got back. Mika used this same theme with her, like she's trying to stir up shit regarding women taking maternity leave at the network.

All due respect, if Kasie didn't discuss with the network how the show would be handled in her absence, and when she would come back to work, she should have.    But I'm sure since she's Mika & Joe's little pet, they had to stick their noses into it.

I wonder if Mika went to the network to discuss maternity leave arrangements for Katy & Yasmin ?

Isn't Mika one of the most powerful women at MSNBC?

Oh THIS^^^

Thank you for putting into words what I was thinking earlier today.  Good grief are the only people that you can get to participate in this drivel the ones you can strong arm?  Seriously, is this all ya got?  Ugh.
