I was catching up on "House of Cards." I'm in the first third of the most recent season (5). The show was difficult for me to watch after the election, but I decided last night to watch another episode. When I least expected it, there was the Morning Joe crew (or part of it) appearing as themselves, discussing the fictional election on "House of Cards." This is Episode 57, for those of you watching. I couldn't find it on YouTube. Anyway, it's Joe and Mika and Donnie and Kasie! So weird.

Joe has quite the IMDB page: Joe Scarborough, Thespian

The appearance on "House of Cards" must have been discussed on the show, but I have no memory of it.

Kasie didn't have the lightning bolt intro, BTW.

It's hard to follow the Brady Bunch panel. Joe is serious today.

Turley thinks this is like the John Edwards case.

Elise & Heileman are in the same studio. Barnicle is excited about Trump being spanked by Stormy.

Joe is gloating over the decline in favorarability of Facebook. Long time viewers of Morning Joe know that Joe & Donny have trashed Zuckerberg since the company went public. They mocked him for being too young to be a CEO. I think Joe is mad that he didn't invest in Facebook when it started.

Joe is making fun of Trump for not paying his lawyers. No one wants to work for Trump because he lies & doesn't pay his bills.

Heidi is wearing more makeup than usual today. Why?

Joe is mad at gun supporters who are fighting the brave survivors  of the Parkland Florida shooting. Joe said they should listen to the kids.

I was looking forward to Mika’s gloating. I’m old enough to remember her asking Clifford’s lawyer if there was actually going to be new information in the 60 Minutes interview and Joe telling her to stop asking stupid questions and something about a piano falling on her head. Turns out Joe was wrong. I like taking advantage of all those opportunities.

With the nearly constant studio and bunker rotations, their engagement could be over for two weeks before word began to leak out. There appears to be plenty of opportunity to retreat, when that becomes desirable/necessary.

I'm sad to say I agree. If they had anything else they would have released it on 60 minutes. This whole things sounds like basically a one night stand, and then he kept calling her and leading her on about appearing on Celebrity Apprentice, and when he finally told her it wasn't happening, that was the end of it.  Joe was right to tear into Avenatti.

Going by what she did with his hair, we should have guessed that spray tanning  was in his future as well. It seems like there's something weird going on with the lens in Joe's bunker. He has never looked more like Mr Potato Head than he does this morning.

I guess I'm in the minority, I think they've got voicemails from phone calls, and maybe texts, etc.  As far as photos, who knows.  I can definitely believe Trump is egotistical enough to think he could get away with this, and thinks she's got something that is going to take him down.   I understand she panicked and signed stuff that wasn't true. And she probably would have kept her mouth shut if the WSJ hadn't found out about this and brought it up. Then she starts getting trashed by everyone around Trump and the media and decides, you know what? Fuck this. Here's what happened. 

What I don't care for is a bunch of old white men discussing whether a woman is credible.  You want someone who isn't credible, Joe? Let's interview Mika regarding your affair.  

Five minutes in, and it's "when I was in Congress". Another five minutes and it's "Bill Clinton". I turned it off. 

If the interview was so nothing, then why was he talking non stop about it? I turned it back on at 7 for a minute to see if they were discussing the March on Saturday, but no. He has O'Donnell on at 7, Lawrence give his opinion regarding Trump, who usually is on Twitter bitching about everything from Mika's face lift to Oprah to Kristen Stewart breaking up with Robert Pattinson,  fake news, liars, Mueller, no collusion, everyone who says anything about him, even the women who accused him of assault before the election, but this? Nothing.

Joe's dismissal of Lawrence was rude and typical of his behavior when anyone has a valid point that negates his bullshit. "Fascinating".  Now I need to talk to someone who won't disagree with me. 

So we don't think Cohen hired somebody in LA that couldn't be traced back to Trump to threaten her?  What does Joe think, they sent Eric out there to to do it?

Something is going on that Mika wasn't on the show today, of all days. She has been hammering this stuff re Stephanie Clifford for two weeks. Now the day she can discuss the interview, she's nowhere to be found, and Joe is there with his "hey look some college gave me a law degree" bullshit about how Cooper should have interviewed her. 

I think they watched this together last night, got in a huge fight and she told him to go fuck himself if he thought she was going to sit next to him and listen to him denigrate her for her opinion.

If there's no  there there with Stormy's story, why are trump and his lawyers fighting her? I wish Stormy would have hired Gretchen Carlson's lawyer.  She was on with Kasie last night.  She fabulous and she believes Stormy. 

I cannot stand that weasel Jonathan Turley.  Besides I saw an interview with some former GOP something or other ( LOL) on MSNBC yesterday and he now works with a bipartisan election watchdog  and he says this is different that the John Edwards case because it came down just days before an election.

I so agree with this Teddysmom and what you said earlier.  While last night's interview may have been disappointing in terms of new information, Anderson Cooper stated it had been edited for time and also mentioned something at the end of the segment about more coming.  I think Stephanie and Avenatti got what they wanted as a first step.  They teased out the stuff that will make his head explode (i.e. you remind me of my daughter, I wasn't attracted to him nor did I want to have sex with him. getting spanked in his Tightie Whities as that is submissive and the total opposite of his usual Alpha Male posture) and this will drive him far crazier than legal details which he doesn't pay attention to anyway.  He has no impulse control and I am sure they have more breadcrumbs lined up to drop in the coming days.  Trump has lived a vile and revolting life and I think this one particular chicken is going to come home to roost.  While I am not a fan of how they are handling this, from everything I have read both Stephanie and Avenatti are both whip smart and not people to trifle with.  The question I would like answered is how did these two find each other in the first place.

The OG Womens March version. Funny enough, Joe was in a bunker for this release too. Back before Avenatti showed up on the MJ scene and Joe’s soulful sound was the only thing that made Mika Boo’s eyes sparkle.

ETA in the preview still Mika looks like she’s going to start crying. Us too, girl, us too.
