My favorite team is the Steelers (Commanders have been demoted to second favorite, thanks to that POS Snyder).  I have a special fondness for the team in the 70's with Terry Bradshaw, Franco Harris, Lynn Swann, John Stallworth, Mean Joe Greene.....I could go and on.

AS a Brownie, nothing will ever make like anything abt the Squealers, but I do respect that organization.  They give their coaches time (sometimes too much), they keep their noses out of the news, muck, etc.  And they’ve had some very good teams.  I can look back and say most of those 70s players were fun to watch, except I hate Bradshaw.  He’s so corny & thinks he’s the shits and he cheated on Jo Jo.

Robert kraft married an opthamogist 30 years younger than him.

I'm sure it's true love.

She is my age. I can't imagine marrying an 80 year old woman. Or even spending any time at all with an 80 year old woman who isn't my mom.

What if she was worth $10.6 Billion? You'd find something in common surely.

What, you mind that he's getting a happy ending? 😉

Speaking of those, or not:  Deshaun Watson was sued by a new woman, a massage therapist, who claims he tried to get her to have sex with him during a session and ultimately 'pressured' her into giving him oral sex.  For those counting along at home, that is #25.

Meanwhile, Watson was permitted to return to the Browns' training facility by the NFL this week.

Thank God for the Guardians.

Falcons up 21-14 on the Niners at half, Mariota is having his best game so far and the Falcons look very good against a strong Niners team, should be a fun second half, let’s hope the Falcons don’t choke!

Packers and Jets tied at 3 in an ugly defensive battle at Lambeau.

Steelers up 10-9 on the Bucs, Brady isn’t looking very good so far.

Vikings up 10-3 on the Dolphins, Teddy Bridgewater back in as Skylar Thompson gets injured, Tua will be back next week for the Fins and they clearly miss him as their offense can’t get anything going.

Ravens lead the Giants 10-7 at half in a good one.

Saints up 20-14 on the Bengals in somewhat of a shocker, Saints are missing a lot of receivers but have moved the ball well, the Bengals just can’t seem to find a rhythm and continue to disappoint.

Great day of football!!

There is a lady referee in the Giants game and I don’t think Ian Eagle has mentioned it, which is perfect.  I only realized she was there because of her ponytail.

I'd like to think it's because female officials are becoming commonplace and accepted and therefore not newsworthy.  The next milestone should be when a woman actually becomes a referee and not just a crew member.

Falcons beat the Niners 28-14, great win for the Falcons, the offense was efficient and balanced and the Falcons have finally established a rushing attack and their defense forced 3 turnovers and got some key stops.

Giants beat the Ravens and go to 5-1, their defense forced a couple of key turnovers and they came back from down 10 to beat the Ravens. No one saw it coming how strong the Giants would be but they are playing great football.

Bengals beat the Saints after trailing for much of the game, big game for Burrow and Chase in their return to Louisiana.

How ‘bout them Giants?

Keep disrespecting them, NFL “experts”.

And depending on tonight's game, it could be a three-way tie for first in the NFC East.  Giants are playing with heart and grit, which is how they always win Super Bowls.  Baltimore can't hold a lead to save their lives.

The other New York team is just took out Aaron Rodgers for the second time in a week.  Sweet.  Maybe GB should have taken that bye after the London game after all.

Seeing Brady lose always brings joy, as does Aaron Rodgers. Congrats to the Steelers and Jets.

Lamar has really cost his team in the losses with his fumbling and dumb interceptions. I don’t know what’s going on with him.

I need Kirk Cousins to start sucking again. Same with the Giants. So weird that both teams are 5-1.

Jets beat the Packers by 17, the Jets have played great since Wilson has returned, they have a pretty solid team. The Packers continue to really struggle, Rodgers just isn’t playing like himself, they can’t get a potent rushing attack going despite having 2 good RB’s, and their defense has been a disappointment.

Matty Ice leads the Colts on a game winning drive, and completed a Colts record 42 passes today, I’ll always be a Matt Ryan fan and the Colts got a big divisional win today.

Vikings beat the Dolphins and go to 5-1, a complete team effort win by the Vikings who are really playing good football. The Dolphins need to regroup for next week when Tua should return, they have a good team but the constant injuries at QB have thrown them off.

Steelers upset the Bucs, the Bucs still haven’t put together a complete game this season. I’ll never count Tom Brady out but they need to figure things out, right now they are wildly inconsistent.

Everyone keeps coming up with excuses for Tom Brady.   His marital problems.   He went to Kraft's wedding Friday night.  How about he simply isn't playing well.

He did not play well today, that’s for sure, and he’s looked off several times this season. He did play pretty well against the Chiefs and Falcons, but he’s not been himself for the most part. I would never count him out though.

Oy what a day.

JETS dump the Packers.   YAAAY

Pittsburgh beating TB.    Hahahahahahahaha

Dude, WTF is up with the Ravens.   Blew another 10 point lead.   That's on the D.   But really smart move by Barkley to get the 1st down instead of the TD.    Yeah fantasy owners are pissed but that's why I don't play fantasy football.   It's a team game.   And the best move for the team to win was to do exactly what he did -- get down in bounds and let the clock run.

That was another good win for the Giants today against the Ravens. They continue to roll and get about as much as they can out of their players. Brian Daboll continues to do an excellent job with them. Looking at their upcoming schedule, I could see them being favored in their next four games (Jaguars, Seahawks, Texans and Lions). There is definitely an opportunity there for them to rack up some more wins.

The Jets have also been doing a nice job lately in their wins. I enjoyed seeing the big plays they made today, especially from some of their younger players. After struggling quite a bit in recent years, it looks like things are starting to look up for them as well. They are playing well and with a lot of energy.

Also, Mitchell Trubisky did a nice job coming in after Kenny Pickett went into concussion protocol. He made some big throws in the second half, helping the Steelers win over the Bucs.

The Vikings also improved to 5-1. They feel like a very "quiet" 5-1 team IMO. It doesn't seem like many people are talking about them and how much they are winning this year. More people are talking about the Cowboys, Eagles, and Giants.  I do wonder how well the Vikings will end up doing this year.

I'm not sure how long I'll be online.  The network at my place went down and out; has been over the past 50 hours, but I still would not have been available for the opening slate of games.

On a related note, I was unable to post my stuff in time, couldn't even do so had I done it early on Friday night or Saturday.  I'm at peace with it since my predictions were awful so far in Week Six.

To be brief, I was wrong with Steelers/Bucs.  I was wrong with Ravens/Giants.  I was wrong with Jaguars/Colts.  I got Vikings/Dolphins right!  I was wrong with Packers/Jets though I did pick the Jets to at least cover.  I'll post what I would've posted later.

The Giants are for real, maybe not great but better than I expected in August.  Baltimore was a better pick for me but not that clear cut.  Indianapolis & Jacksonville was a toss, thought about it, went with one, and didn't pick the right one.  It is what it is.  Green Bay losing was a surprise but not a shocker since, despite a home game, they were in London just last week.  The Giants were too, but they were at Metlife today.

I did not see Tampa & Pittsburgh playing out the way they did.  I might have posted 77-0 Bucs had I been here earlier.  Realistically 41-9 or 34-6 would have been great but winning outright is huge!

In the moment, I can understand optimism but the Steelers still have a long way to go.  I think they're definitely losing in 2 weeks, but SNF, which was not flexed out, features a Steelers road game at Miami.  Could be a victim of a team superhot, the real kings of the league, turning into the opposite.  That could go either way, though I'm leaning Dolphins.

The good news is that post bye, the schedule softens, and more important, the AFC North isn't that elite.  So 8-9 wins can win it.

As mentioned, today is the first game in the season with a WR catching a TD AND the first game ever where the Black & Gold win without TJ Watt

OMG! Giants beat the Ravens to go 5-1!

I know!!  And we actually got that game here in L.A., but I didn't get home until 2:00 a.m. last night (well, this morning) after a fantastically booze-soaked movie night at my friend's house, so I saw even less of it than most morning games.  But it was sure nice to wake up to!

The Rams are trailing the Panthers 10-7 at halftime. The Rams look like total shit, I mean they’ve been disappointing so far, but Jesus fucking Christ, playing like this against the Panthers at home, that’s beyond pathetic. Stafford has been garbage and the offense has been lifeless.

Bills/Chiefs has been great as expected so far.

Don’t worry. Panthers will find a way to lose the game. They always do…

Great game between the Bills and Chiefs, tied at 10 at halftime. Both offenses are moving the ball well and could have more points on the board as they both turned it over in the red zone. Mahomes and Allen have both made some great plays and it’s been a pretty evenly matched game as expected. I think both offenses will continue to move the ball well and a big factor will be how the teams do in the red zone and if either defense can force another turnover.

Rams play a solid second half and beat the Panthers and the Seahawks beat the Cardinals, meaning the NFC West is pretty much up for grabs at this point with 3 teams tied at the top at 3-3. The Cards are in last place, and I have a feeling Kingsbury is gone if things don’t turn around fast, and Kyler Murray is looking more and more like a bust. On the other hand, the Seahawks have been surprisingly decent so far, Geno Smith is surprisingly playing solid football and the Seahawks aren’t horrible.

Chiefs up 20-17 on the Bills with 3 minutes left, Bills have the ball, thrilling game!
