Sweet Fellowship: Duggars and Friends (aka the Bates Family and Other Featured Families Thread)

Message added by Scarlett45

If a person/family was never featured on any of the Duggar shows, and is not related to the Duggar family by blood or marriage, they do not need to be discussed here..

We may all agree that David Rodriques is quite unfortunate looking, but let's refrain from comparing human beings to apes, its got way too much of a loaded history- please review the new Inclusion Policy updated May 1, 2022 , which details guidelines around discussing body type, capabilities, physical appearance etc. Additionally, using body size as an insult is not allowed.

God seems to only bless her with material things. Every so often she will be thankful for the in-law children, but definitely not above her luxuries!

And I know that vision boards usually have houses and vacations on them, but hers are all material things of course. I’m surprise there is no picture of a big new RV. A lot of people dream of jobs that they want, but not our girl! Except for being a diamond or whatever you have to be in those MLM‘s.

It looks electric in the videos.  They'd have had to build a chimney to vent a wood burner.  A large brick fireplace like that would cost at least 3 grand, BTW.  No way Jill paid for it herself.  I presume the boys and SIL were commanded to produce the cash as part of the 'Mama didn't get to go on a cruise, she must be appeased' plan.

Having seen Dave's 'skils' in electrical work, I hope they didn't do the install themselves.

So she made them work while she was gone? Those kids should’ve been able to relax and enjoy the few days away from Jill and David 😢.

is Sam's Facebook for seeking a bride? his fun fact is rather sad. number 6 kid in a litter of exploited/abused kids. no fun facts like I like to climb and deface monuments and please mama by building shelves and coffee nooks? also had a failed courtship to a nut named Bri? and if you want to make $3,000 a month easy income contact my mama!!!

I think it is most likely a wood build out with the snap together plastic "stone look" panels that glue one. All the home improvement stores around here sell them. they are fairly cheap. We used them to cover the cement of raised basement walls.

The rod family used that type product when they did the makeover on the front wall of Joy baptist.

Jill will find a free above ground pool soon. she always gets what she wants.

I hope not, because it's not as if she's going to keep an eye on her kids while they are playing in the pool (fully clothed).  A pool of any kind is the last thing this woman needs.  I don't even want her to have a plastic kiddie pool.

they survived the ditch swimming and an abandoned church park. they can survive a pool. now that pool water be filthy. and unless it's free Jill isn't paying for it.

That's what I thought of when I saw the fireplace. Plywood and that stuff stuck to it.

I'm actually surprised that she knew that Alps were mountains.  Does she know there are Alps other than the Swiss Alps?  My guess is "no".

Well she does love the Sound of Music so would know of the Swiss alps. I doubt she would be able to find Switzerland or any alps on the TV map.

She would get her pointing finger out, point vaguely at the map and proclaim it was somewhere in the "country of Europe". Phillip presented to some church years ago the "Sins of the 7 Countries of the World", while showing continents.

He is supposedly the most scholarly of the bunch and old enough to have been one of the ones taught by mama.

Poor Sam.   All he has to describe himself is his age and the number he is in the family.   No interests, no likes/dislikes.   Just numbers.   Jill has so stunted her children with her narcissism.

Does he even know that he's allowed his own interests, likes, and dislikes?

Maybe they reused that electric fireplace thing Jill already owned.

If David didn't do the electrical work, then Sam and Gabe did. There's no way they hired a professional to stuff an electric heater in a huge plywood box.

I'd love to see a full view of the room now. The Dream Board fireplace looks so, well, intrusive.

I really need to start a Dream Board and put it out for everyone to see.

We all need to follow Jill's example. It's our dogly duty to grift from family, friends, and Internet strangers. Also, are you all stealing accepting your children's hard-earned money? The Lord Daniel has designated that money as yours!

PS: Autocorrect kept changing grift to gift. Even it knows that giving is better than getting.

I doubt that fire place costs a lot of $. sammers paid and maybe Philip. Jill is just a greedy bottomless hole of financial needs and desires. she would sell David for $.

I was just thinking that Jill always cries tears of joy at each new possession in her home. Most are purchased and/or assembled by her non-whimpy 🙄 boys. But she soon becomes bored and starts the grift for the next item on her vision board.

I have been trying to decipher the words on the dream board. Something a pool. (I'll go with grift) New concrete driveway. something front porch, might be covered front porch. That's what the pic seems to show. Stone fireplace.

She got a fireplace but it is no way stone.

The fireplace is likely a plug-in insert, in the above mentioned DIY faux brick surround.

I hope they did not try to run a gas line into the house.  . They are smart enough to know that that would require an expert, right??  (A long time ago, my grandfather was asphyxiated by a leak in a gas line at someone's home.)

Heidi's shower is this Saturday. Ellen has implored people to stick to the registry (easily found on Amazon).

Will the Rods leave the tent revival early to attend? Inquiring minds...

Good question. It probably depends on how much attention Jill gets at the tent revival.

Maybe the shower date was planned to coincide with Jill's trip.   Attention for Jill or attention for someone else??  Jill be the center of attention at either place.  I wonder if she has another photo shoot planned for someone else at the shower.

I can't imagine them planning a shower without one of the grandmothers. But the Rods are on that church's pamphlet. Will they bail tomorrow night in order to make it to the shower and deprive the tent revival music on the last day?

Will Jill get the baby a gift? She's so used to receiving, not giving.

When Jill was pregnant with Janessa, Nurie and the older girls threw a ‘Let’s Pamper Mama’ shower where all the gifts were stuff for Jill and not the baby.  Unless Heidi is having a ‘Let’s Pamper Grandmama’ shower;  I’d say it’s 50:50 she shows.  At least with the bridal showers, she was bound to find something nice for herself amongst the gifts.

There are no bounds to the ideas of what Jill might do as far as the Teidi baby. Will she make a breathless dash to the shower? What inappropriate outfit will she wear? Is there a special song she has composed for the first grandchild named Rodrigues? Will the girlies have matching mahdest dresses? No way is Jill throwing Heidi a shower but she will definitely cause drama unless Ellen has figured out a way to lock her d.

Her performative crying when she gets something that she probably whined, cried, hinted or raged about is gross.  The fact that her children have to placate her constantly with gifts is disgusting.  What does Dave do in these situations, I wonder....actually, scratch that, I don't want to know.

Considering the way Heidi's family blocked most of Jill's control of the wedding, I figure they have a plan for the shower too.   Yes Jill did manage the Scarlett O'Bigot engagement photo shoot at the wedding (how did that work out btw Jilly) so she may have something planned.

But my money is on them skipping it.   This will be stuff for the baby and Jill can't somehow make that about her.   Other than moaning all over the place about how she is just waiting for her next blessing.   Which this crowd can easily ignore.   Jill can then make a long post about how she just COULD NOT make it because Jaysauce is just so important to her life and going on and on about herself and how dogly and wonderful she is.

For Heidi and her family's sake, I hope she doesn't go.

And Ellen's request to stick to the registry, maybe that is a message to Jill not to bring some off the wall thing, probably for herself to take home.

also if they stick to the registry, there's nothing Jill can take home since presumably it will all be baby stuff.

But I can see Jill bringing some of her tacky dollar store finds as a "gift."

I'm 5'5" and I have worn maybe a few petite items in the past but honestly, the fit is just not right.

I'm only 5'3", and almost invariably find that petite clothes are just not a flattering cut on me. Maybe because I am also about a size 14 - I think a bit of extra weight does tend to negate the petite-ness (?) when your height is borderline.. My arms are on the short side, but my legs are pretty proportional, so petite lengths in pants tend to hit just a hair shorter than I prefer. On the other hand, regular lengths like to drag on the floor, so I generally try to shop for pants by inseam rather than size, per se.

Jill would gift used baby clothes she has laying around or from donations. I think Jill will go because Heidi's shower is going to have ample food!

Apparently Heidi is having a girl based on her baby registry requests.

I thought a boy for the same reason. I guess we'll find out at the shower.

I saw the registry.... lots of brown, beige and muted colors. I do like that there are books and toys on the list.

i saw on reddit she was asking for girl toddler pants so I assumed it's a girl. I just want Jill to rarely see the Teidy baby. Poor keller kids are traumatized/shell shocked whenever Jill is around.

I think Dave ignores her most of the time. he just does whatever he wants while Jill has her meltdowns.

I think Jill just complains and yells at the kids.
