Sweet Fellowship: Duggars and Friends (aka the Bates Family and Other Featured Families Thread)

Message added by Scarlett45

If a person/family was never featured on any of the Duggar shows, and is not related to the Duggar family by blood or marriage, they do not need to be discussed here..

We may all agree that David Rodriques is quite unfortunate looking, but let's refrain from comparing human beings to apes, its got way too much of a loaded history- please review the new Inclusion Policy updated May 1, 2022 , which details guidelines around discussing body type, capabilities, physical appearance etc. Additionally, using body size as an insult is not allowed.

I saw that post.  Apparently, she's butt hurt that others beat her to the punch, and she got a bit feisty with another higher-up hun, over she and David not getting to go!  I'd love to see Jill getting the slap-down! 😜

I wouldn't be surprised if Jill wore out her welcome on these cruises.  Maybe she doesn't have a spot on purpose and her name is on the do-not-include list.  I'm wondering if the company has received complaints about her advertising content and they figure she is just too much or too dangerous to tolerate any longer.  "Already full, sorry" would be an easy way to avoid the problem.

where are the 39 unnecessary commas?

and wow Kaylee looks so different without Jill's amounts of makeup!

she is so pretty with normal amounts of makeup.

She really looks pretty and younger without so much of it. I hope the other girls follow suit when they "escape". Or at least do what they want not what Jill wants.

It’s good for Kaylee to see the benefits of working in the real world.   A coffee cup and dinner might not  seem like a lot to others, but it’s entirely new for her.  Jonathan is building his work history, his social security credits, possibly a retirement fund, possibly health insurance.  Kaylee can see that and she can quietly pass that info along to siblings for future reference.

Tim is doing the same.  The siblings are going to eventually notice if Tim and Jonathan have  more money for necessities than David and Jill have.  Not sure if Nathan can?

As for the ‘fellowship’, that’s a fancy word for her to say she made small talk with the attendees.  Even that can provide her with tidbits of  financial wisdom she didn’t get growing up.

Just seeing that not all families have 80 bajillion kids, the husbands actually work and they pay for the things they own instead of expecting them to be handed to them would be eye opening for Kaylee.   To see that everyone who doesn't think exactly like Mahmo and Dad are not evil but good decent people who work hard and care for their families.

Maybe working with normal people will grow back Jonathan's spine and he will get  his family the hell away from Jill and her insanity.

With a child, I certainly hope Jonathan’s employer is providing health insurance!

Why does Jill never learn with these cruise invites?  The same thing happened last year with the cruise.  She made a big deal about being "invited", but didn't make the cut.  She needs to keep it to herself unless and until she makes the cut, so then she won't be embarrassed or have to make up excuses why she isn't going.  This time she really laid it on thick including a handwritten note supposedly from David talking about how awesome it was that they were going on the cruise.  Of course, maybe she didn't understand that there was a cut and she still had to do something to earn her spot.  After all, she thought a spam email about the inauguration was a personal invitation.

Last year she made up some bogus excuse why she couldn't go on the cruise. She lied. This time, she complained. Getting on these cruises involves luck, and Jill is a two-time loser.

I'm sure she'll keep her new cruise wardrobe and try again harder next year. After all, cruises offer everything Jill and David love--crowded swimming pools, alcohol, beach and swim attire, "modern" music, and comedians with "adult" material--well, stuff they love to rant about.

Yeah, other than bragging rights and free food, I really don’t know why they would WANT to go on one of these cruises. Despite the fact that I’m certain there are other fundie “Huns” on the trip, the majority will be normally-dressed, bathing suit wearing, booze imbibing, dancing folk who would not even take a smiley tract if it had a bottle of Tito’s attached to it. They need to do what everyone else in the world does…get a full-time job, save up, and go on the cruise entirely on your own dime and not someone else’s.

Random group of Rodriguii singing with the church choir today.

Phillip, Tessie, Hannah, Olivia and Jonathan.

No sign of Jill, Sammers, Gabriel, Renee and Kaylee.

Dave was in his usual place in the front row left.

Message was along the lines of "you have what you need".

Somewhere Jill is screaming "I needed that cruise!! I had the clothes bought and everything!!"

I don't think its her advertising content they have received complaints about.   They don't care.   It's probably complaints from other participants.   With her holier than thou attitude, I highly doubt she is silent in her thoughts about how people dress, the drinking, etc.    No one wants her around when they just want to have fun.

the trainings they can't help having her around.   And I think Punta Cana was a X points level and you get to go, period.   But the cruises are really a crapshoot and they make sure the odds are never in Jill's favor.   Especially after Punta Cana with the night swimming and the doing their own thing away from everybody so she wouldn't be around the "heathens."

but plexus will keep taking her money and dangling the promise of making her extra special as long as they can.

My gay friend is going. I'm so glad he can go and have a nice time regardless, plexus or not,  without some like Jill around.

Well, he earned more points faster than The Queen of Gut Bloat did, so he deserves the trip.

Nah, she's packing up for Florida. Remember, she said she's putting the "boutique" on vacation mode today.

Now that Jill has lost the cruise, she'll have time to spend on the Creamy Yummy boutique while she's in Florida. Precious Nurie will help her tour the Goodwills and put together stunning ensembles and model them. In Jill's eyes, Nurie has nothing better to do than have "fun" with Mama.

Nathan is probably looking at his wallet and crying.   Losing that cruise will mean Jill is sulking.   Which means taking her lots of places fun (and expensive) to "make up" for it.   Because for somone so dogly, only material things really make Jill happy.

But in some good news, Turtleneck Trish is in PT and walking with assistance.

Sort of   Using a walker, consciously placing her feet, wearing a gait belt, and being held up by Jill?  I hope she does get better though. I’m not familiar with stroke victims re-learning how to walk- so this might be normal at this stage?

It's the first time we've seen her on her feet since the stroke, so progress?

it was a PT not Jill. I'm sure Jill does nothing for her mom!

Nathan, you are allowed to say no and mean it. If Jill hears it enough from you and you don't take her out as much or at all when she visits she'll stop visiting you. It's a win-win.

I wonder how disappointed Jill's kids are that she and Dave aren't going on the cruise after all.  With them gone, I feel like they could potentially relax just a bit and maybe Tessie and Hannah can lay off the heavy makeup for a few days.  And they can eat some real food, not speak an octave above their normal voice, not have to suddenly perform for any videos, not be asked to model smelly clothes, and not be asked to stay home with the Nemos while Jill and Dave get taken out for dinner, etc., etc.  For the kids still at home, these Plexus trips might be the highlights of their entire year.

I bet Nurie can't wait for her family to visit.  She can let her siblings take care of her babies and she can go play with mom.

Yeah I don't think that happens while in Nurie's care.   Nurie is a mini Jill.   So probably enforces all the rules even more strictly to show Mahmo she is following the dogly path laid out for her.
