Spoiler Discussion: The apple was poisoned?!

These spoilers make no sense, so it's CRACK THEORY TIME.

I'm going with Arthur is a baddie, like some of you have suggested. I'm also unwilling to part with the Storybrooke-is-flashforward-with-Dark-Emma theory, SO:

PRESENT, Camelot: Arthur welcomes the Nevengers! He throws a ball for them! He and Charming bro-out! All is well.

FUTURE, Storybrooke: Arthur and the knights are in Storybrooke! OMG what's happening? The dwarves attack them! Why would they do something so evil! *enter Dark Swan* we find out... the dwarves are following Dark Swan's orders! OMG, the dwarves are evil! But...

*insert amazing plot twist here*

Actually, Arthur is evil, not the dwarves! Dark Swan is actually trying to stop evil!Arthur from his evil doing! Except, being Dark Swan, she does it in a totally evil way!

2nd episode called The Price..so who paid it and what did it buy them? The end of the Camelot curse? The price for revealing Merlin's location? Was the change to a new Dark One the trigger for the end of a Camelot curse and that opened a door back from Camelot to SB home of new DO??? I think my price is going to be my concentration at work today with all these crazy spoilers!!

OK, forget everything I said. I don't know what's going on. :P

And I know this has been mentioned before, but I think it's strange that Emma has a different Dark One look in Storybrooke, which is in the land without magic. Seems like she should look normal in the real world, like Rumple did. I know some have said it's because the real world is where she became the dark one, but that seems strange.

I think my price is going to be my concentration at work today with all these crazy spoilers!!

I know, right?

Is Emma only able to be Dark Swan in SB the way Rumple and Zelena can be green and Gold in EF?

This is why I'm having a hard time buying into flashforwards or sideways or whatever.  This is what I'm sticking to, that Emma is in her full on Dark One costume not because she's full on evil, but because she became the Dark One in Storybrooke.

About David and Arthur become bros and if this is a Charming centric, then David and Arthur have to parallel somewhere.  Arthur supposedly came from humble beginnings and so did David, so that might be the starting point for them.

Just dammmmmmmnnnnnnn girl. Can't wait to see what that scene is about. I initially read it as some tension between them but not so sure now. She's definitely grabbing the lapels of his coat and pulling him in, which is something Emma did when she kissed Hook for the first time. So could this be more of a Bonnie and Clyde dark love kind of thing? We had hints of Hook having trouble resisting the darkness so why not have him slip back in? Or perhaps play the part as a way to stay close to Emma and protect her until they can get the darkness out of her. Whatever. It looks hot.

ETA: Not that I'm over analyzing one photo (but I am) but I wonder what the next shot right after that is. What does Hook look like when he walks away? Or does he wrap his arm around her waist? Where is the damn video of this scene? Ugh!

He looks like he's being forced to his knees here, so I don't think they're doing B&C. Or they are and she's distrustful that he's really in it, and antagonizes him.

Could the Dark Swan scenes be present and Camelot is the past?

Well, either DS is present and Camelot is past, or Camelot is present and DS is future... LOL I guess that's pretty much the same thing, but they're definitely two different timelines.

I love that half the thread is like "fuck Regina, fuck Robin, fuck Belle, who cares about snowing, screw kiddo, blah rumple, omfg what captain swan!!<3!; #*$*"*--$;$-$8$-$8$;$9#*#" lol

We are nothing but consistent.

The fact that everyone but Emma is wearing the same clothes in SB as in Camelot is flummoxing me.

Okay, I'm trying to figure it out, and let's say there are two timelines (I'm gonna ignore any possible past flashbacks to 30+ years ago. Hope they keep those to a minimum).

In 501:

Timeline 1, "Present": picks up where 422 left off. Zelena business. Twister brings everyone to Camelot. They find Emma, she's still good.

Timeline 2, "Dark Swan Future": Dark Swan interacts with some dwarves, destroys beer garden, no regulars.

In 502:

Timeline 1, "Present": the cast is in Camelot. They're still wearing the clothes they wore when they got there. There may be a ball, where they may change temporarily in period-appropriate clothing. I don't know.

Timeline 2, "Dark Swan Future": this is, let's say, a little bit after the beer garden thing. Maybe DS precedes them to Storybrooke, so this is the moment they come back. Arthur is in period clothing, fights with the dwarves. The second they arrive, they're in emergency mode trying to find Emma, so they haven't changed yet from their Camelot clothes (I'm assuming/hoping, if they stay in Camelot a bit, that Arthur will give them new clothes and then they'll just wear their own again when they're ready to come back).

So Timeline 1 would be Dark Swan's slow descent into evil. It culminates with Emma embracing the Dark One, and leaving Camelot for SB (where she destroys the beer garden). Timeline 2 is Dark Swan's reign of terror in SB, culminating with them "saving" Emma. So the end of the storyline would be Emma embracing evil (in Timeline 1) and Emma being saved and giving up evil (in Timeline 2) at the same time.

I really like the flash forward idea. (Even though it's basically just the Missing Year - a timejump with flashbacks.) It would be a neat narrative for the audience to already know what will happen, but not how it came to be. However, I don't trust these writers to do this well. They've already proven in 3B that they can't.

Lost did a similar thing in S4 with the Oceanic Six.

I would love that because I've been waiting for the flashbacks(/forwards) to tell a cohesive story again, like in S1 where it told Snowing's courtship up until their engagement, instead of being random vignettes from people's lives like it's been for the last 3 seasons.

I'd love to see a cohesive story being told on separate timelines like in S1, and bonus if in one thread it's non-linear. I like seeing things somewhat out of order and having to piece it together, or not knowing the setup for the situation I'm seeing. So two timelines, whether flashback or flashforward, might be a lot of fun.

And I like Dark Emma's black trenchcoat.

Damn I love Emma's coat. I wonder if the costume people went on tumblr and saw some art work because I could have sworn I saw a Dark Swan in a Trent coat long before any promos or set pics came out. They even have her hair in a bun like the art work. I wish I had saved it.

Some people's theory I've seen is the Dark Swan scenes are someone seeing some sort of premonition of what's to come. Which means theirs a chance they can stop Emma from going dark but I'm not sure this is what it is. I'm leaning more towards future Dark Swan and Camelot being the past.

Am I wrong or is there no sparkly white glitter on Jen's face in those pics wih Lana and Jared?? Does she have it in the pics with Killian?

Doesn't seem to. I think that may just have been something they did in the promo clip, then reconsidered. They do seem to be highlighting the heck out of her cheekbones, though, which I'm totally down with.

I guess I'm the only one who doesn't want Hook to go dark with Emma. I would understand him, Emma is all his family and with her gone he is totally alone, but I would prefer him to be the light that brings Emma back from darkness, like she was for him. But for what I've seen here but, especially, on Tumblr the biggest part of the fandom is more intetested in the hotness factor of Dark CS, and, probably, the writers would be too.
