Emma avoiding Hook because she realized her magic hurt someone in the past doesn't work with the way this episode played out. She was avoiding Hook at the beginning, but Hook had to remind her that she had magic later in the episode, so it seems to me that the avoidance issue now is something other than being afraid of hurting him by accident with magic.

Yeah, I was sure her avoiding him had something to do with her magic, because it made sense with the Frozen theme. But now I don't know and, really, I just don't care anymore. It's just a new trauma throw at Emma to put more angst between her and Hook, instead of using one of the thousand traumas both of them already have.

ETA - I think whatever is going on with Emma isn't really all that complicated and has to do with her past relationships more than anything. I mean David had to remind her that she had magic. I think given the past 3 years, she has reason to be a bit freaked out at the perspective of a relationship or generally worried about it.

Graham dies in her arms. Neal comes back in her life, leaves, she thinks he died, he comes back again, then really dies. They had a relationship even if they were never going there again, I mean seeing someone die in your arms (second time) is just too much. Then you have the flying monkey. Then Zelena has Rumple try to drown Hook where Emma is worried that he might be gone. Hook is all about how he'll never leave her and he goes as far as to make the ultimate sacrifice that basically proves his point that he'll find her and not leave her, he follows her through a time portal.

If this were me, I'm not even sure I would have been able to sleep at all after all of that.

If it was this, I wouldn't mind. But Morrison said it was something new that had surprised her. So being worried about her past relationship doesn't seem something new or unexpected.

I'm an optimist (no really, I am, don't let my posts fool you!) the Emma-centric (Emma-Regina centric whatever it's supposed to be) is set after 403, so I'm cautiously optimistic that whatever has her asking Hook to be patient has nothing to do with her magic.

It will be very interesting to see how the green screen plays into what happens with Hook's hand. I wonder if he makes a deal with Rumple in order to help Emma, which may also be why in the most recent Steveston shoot, Hook has his hook back and Gold apparently seems very bored with the whole thing.

As for Emma avoiding Hook, I am wondering about that. There is something she is hiding from him. But does she care more about giving Regina a happy ending than Hook? There has to be something more personal there that she worries could hurt him because of her love for him vs. her frienemy thing with Regina. Because seriously, I can't explain that stupidity otherwise.

Emma may also be feeling a bit guilty that Hook gave up his ship for her. JMo said that Emma wouldn't forget about that.

I think the Regina incident didn't only give her guilt, she got scared because she saw once again how quickly a relationship can end.

Hmm...that's interesting. For a girl who constantly has her walls up because of those who have abandoned a relationship with her, perhaps Emma may feel the need to give Regina her happy ending so she can believe in her own happy ending. I mean really, if Regina can be happy with Robin after all this, surely Emma can make a life with Hook, right?

Is it really too much to ask for that the house is actually owned by a human version of Scar? (Played of course by Jeremy Irons). Just because I can imagine the look on his face when he walks into his bedroom and sees those two going at it on his bed. Scar:  Oh dear, and I just laundered those sheets!

Me too! My dvr recorded Agents of Shield, in which it apparently aired, and I fast forwarded through it, but only saw one for OUAT. No Hook, but Emma said 'Cool' to Elsa and her ice wall, and Anna was sword fighting with Charming.

I find it hilarious that Belle is portrayed as Rumpel's moral compass and yet, she has no problem with breaking & entering, trespassing or squatting. It was her idea!

Breaking into someone's house, sleeping into someone's bed (we know what was implied there).  Maybe it's the 3 bears house!

And Hook with walkies?  I'm totally laughing just thinking about it.  I'm thinking that might be my highlight for Sunday if anything.

Nothing may top David's bad wig and warlord Bo Peep, but I'm willing to be surprised.

Apparently, the other trailer only aired in Canada, but no one's posted a link.

What's different between that and the American one?

Nothing much, except it seems to be a looser crop so you can see Hook holding a walkie talkie as he says, "She's freezing to death!" The significance is that there's a walkie talkie by Emma in one of the BTS promos pics. So they're probably talking as Emma is trapped with Elsa.

(I imagine Elsa will be, "WTF? Why is there a voice coming from that magic box??")

Its kind of funny that the show is still bothering to find a way to cut off Storybrooke from the rest of the world with every new story arc.

Seriously. It made sense in the first two and a half seasons (the curse in S1, the amnesia aftereffect of Magic in S2, and Pan's lurking agents in 3A) but when you hit "flying monkeys swooping in and grabbing people" and "a random ice witch comes to town and creates an ice blockade", you're just getting contrived.

Today, they are going to be shooting on the 300 block of Granville Street in Vancouver (between W. Hastings and Cordova).

It's supposed to be a night shoot. It's a little hard to read, but the filming appears to be occurring around the heritage buildings in the area. The 300 block is the Sinclair Center which is a shopping mall/office building constructed out of a group of old government buildings (post office, customs house, etc) that was built around 1910.They also mention the Birks building (698 W Hastings) which is an old bank building from the same period. Think towering buildings with lots of granite.

These certainly aren't the kind of buildings one would see in Storybrooke, so it looks like it is either for a Flashback or a road trip to Boston or New York.

I was thinking that it could be a flashback to young Emma running away from home to parallel it with Emma running away now because she can control her powers. Or, maybe Emma goes back to New York thinking that there, all alone, she can control her powers better.

I think in 407 we will be getting the (I'm sure to be riveting) Snow Queen flashbacks. Unless Emma running away in the present is kind of a cliffhanger, and continues in 408, where we'll have Emma flashbacks? 408 is "Smash the Mirror", while the confirmed Emma flashbacks we have in 405 is "Breaking Glass"... a glass theme? Unfortunately I don't think Adam and Eddy will be giving us two Emma flashbacks so close to each other.

Yeah, me neither. It's more wishful thinking than other thing.

There are other options. Maybe the Snow Queen has been living in our world all this time.

I feel sorry for Georgina. They have Elsa talking to herself like a crazy person for exposition. That must not be easy to pull off, and she's doing as well as can be expected.

It's still in character though, considering her character sang to herself in the movie.

Not only that, there was a scene where she was stressed and fearful and did just keep on yammering to herself as the walls of her icy chamber started to glow red due to her emotions.  Elsa isn't a well-adjusted person, so Georgina's material is perfectly in line with the character.

Anyway, looks like they're still on 407, but since she's thanking this person, maybe it's the last day and they've finished the ep?

I'm intrigued by all the sheriff's station stuff we've seen recently. Gives me hope we might get Sheriff Swan back this season.

That in combination with Mary Margaret becoming the mayor, I'm hoping we're going to see a little more of regular life in Storybrooke again.  The original appeal of the show was storybook characters living in our world and we're way overdue for that.

Its weird she's terrorizing a random town, like she hasn't thought to talk to anyone.

I don't blame her. Who would want to talk to the nutjobs and nutjobs enablers in that town, except for Granny.

I wonder if this is because Disney wanted "Elsa in real world" as a hook. I hope they expand beyond Storybrooke. It'd be interesting to see Elsa, Emma and the Snow Queen beyond that boundary as they'll be the only people that will still be able to do magic.

Hee! I would love to hear what Granny has to say about every weird happening in Storybrooke.

I'm not certain the Snow Queen would be able to do magic outside of Storybrooke. If that snowflake amulet is linked to her powers, that might mean that she, like Rumple, is not inherently magical. Then again, if Elsa is her niece, it does seem to hint that the powers are hereditary.

I would LOVE to get Granny's take on everything! She's so fabulously no nonsense!

I don't want more Granny on the show itself just because they'll ruin her too but they should do a weekly Granny monologue like those occasional Storybrooke news clips they do. Just attach it to the end of the episodes while the credits are rolling. Some shows do that with bloopers or a silly clip.

Elsa is her niece, it does seem to hint that the powers are hereditary.

That was my assumption. I think Elsa's parents were going to see her when they died. And I still think she's tied to Emma's past. Maybe she's the "someone" Emma's magic hurt because I don't see A&E doing "Emma randomly hurts Joe Blow just to showcase Emma's past" story. It has to be connected to something else. Maybe the Snow Queen is also the Kai and Emma breaking the mirror cursed her/caused her to be evil.

Those Charmings...they make evil wherever they go...

Where angels go, trouble follows.

I hope the Snow Queen is linked to Emma's past somehow. We need more Land Without Magic interaction. Inquiring minds would like to know if she and Elsa are inherently magical.

Is that supposed to be a FairyTale Tardis? Or is it another Glinda door? Why would you put that in the middle of city? Curiouser and curiouser

I looked up the address on Google Maps. It's smack dab in the middle of downtown Vancouver.

Yes, it's in an area with a bunch of heritage buildings (which for Vancouver is 100 year old buildings). Think stone edifices. 1910 era construction. Imposing granite. Not very fairytailish. Might pass for old London or one of the big North Eastern cities.

Or is it another Glinda door?

I think that is Glinda's door with a different set dressing. Not sure if it is intended to be the door, but they've totally recycled it.

This might not be relevant, but in Once: Wonderland there was a freestanding portal door just like Glinda's. Actually, two - there was a riddle to guess which was the portal. Seems like it could be a reoccurring theme in this universe.

So maybe this involves Will?

Kind of doubt it, it had nothing to do with Will in Once: Wonderland. It was to get to the Well of Wonders, a place with healing water. Will never used it.
