Yeah, in OTH all kinds of crazy things happened. And when Keith died, it was awful. They sort of redeemed Dan in the last season, though.

Keith!!  Thanks, I was trying to remember his name.  :)  Didn't know that Dan ever was ever even sort of redeemed. I don't think I would have enjoyed that.  Malcolm Merlyn might be a mass murderer but I found Dan less redeemable.

I barely watched the show after the first few seasons. Just grew apart from the show, no particular reason. But managed sporadic episodes/seasons here & there. And I found no redeemable qualities in Dan. I did happen to see Keith's departure though and that was so sad. His character had finally seemed to get it together with Moira Kelly's character, such a shame. The actor who played Dan even had a cameo in The Notebook and I was inexplicably angry at his character for the stuff he had done on OTH.

I think we wouldn't have got Veronica/Logan closure either if there hadn't been crowdsourcing.

There was no closure when it came to Logan.  That jackass lived, and he never met the business end of a Louisville Slugger.  Death to Logan Echolls.  Sorry, I just hated Logan, and never understood why we were supposed to like him after every horrible thing he had done.

Oh Arrow premiere, you're going against the NXT Takeover special, but I'm going to watch you.  However Supernatural's premiere, sorry I ain't missing a moment of the Sasha vs Bayley rematch.  Just like last season when the finale went against NXT, the Winchesters are losing to a side with a demon (Finn Balor's nickname).

And for later on today, go Yankees!

Well Blindspot actually did the reveal, however being tv I'm always going to be worried that they'll take it back later. Because who needs character growth when you can just go for a shock instead.

Just curious.  I'd like to check out the rules for this forum.  Has anyone ever actually seen them posted anywhere??  Somethings been bugging me lately, but I'm not actually sure it's against the rules.

Based on this post about the overarching Golden Rule of the forum, it sounds like more detailed guidelines are forthcoming.

There's a lot of site information in the threads on this page (including rules, questions. how-to-do stuff, etc.):

Individual forums sometimes have their own specific rules as well, usually in a Mod thread labeled something like "Notes from the Mods".

As someone who has no interest in Twilight, the idea of a gender flipped version of the first book is kind of amusing to me. I don't want to read it, but I do want to check out a few reviews to see what Meyer changed because I did watch the first movie. I'd probably be upset if it was done to one of my favourite books, but in this case since I don't actually care I'm actually interested...weirdly enough.

Oh gods. Why is there more Twilight? I don't care if it's gender swapped. Why does she still get published? Oh gods. Will there be an ELJames gender swapping 50 Shades next. NOOO. GO AWAY

This. This why the apocalypse will happen :(

When I heard she was doing the gender swap, I thought it would be a "what if Bella was the hundred year old vampire and Edward the kid moving in with his estranged dad?) but somehow it's way stranger to me to keep the backstories and presumably the personalities the same and just swap genders.   I mean, you really CAN'T keep personality's the same since gender is a big influence on life and how "Edythe" would be treated as the perpetual 18 year old would be vastly different than Edward would have been.

I'm confused. Did she release something new? It she telling Bella's story as a guy?

If she is going to do anything, I just want her to go back to Midnight Sun and finish it. She had her little ridiculous and absurd hissy fit. But the only thing I'm interested in from Twilight is Edward's perspective of the story.

It's called Life and Death - Twilight Reimagined.  (yes by Myers)

The 10th anniversary re-release of Twilight comes with a new twist: In Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined, Meyer tells her classic story from a male point of view. There is no Bella, but there is Beau. And Edward, the vampire? She's Edythe.

Thanks @BkWurm1! Consider me uninterested. It seems like she was just a little defensive, Monday-morning quarterbacking her narrative and frankly out of ideas. Then again, a lot of the entertainment industry seems out of ideas, with all the reboots & retellings, so I can hold it against her for trying to revisit her greatest success? At least, it had organic beginnings with it being involved with the anniversary & not just her being random.

Hmm. Sounds like Stephanie Meyer is just conning people out of more money with that waste of time. Hasn't she done that enough?

Link to comment

We need to go deeper. Meyer could write a genderswapped fanfic of 50 Shades, change the names, and publish it. BRRAAAWWRWRRRM!

I'm sorry, you have that wrong.  Now E. L. James has to write the genderswapped fanfic of 50 Shades.  Got to keep the players straight.  ;)

Edited to add:  It's late. I'm slow. Your way is far more funny.

Ahh!!  I can't get over how terrible Sullivan Stapleton is over on Blindspot.  Total casting FAIL.  That show has been a huge letdown, it's pretty boring.

Someone mentioned shipping Laurel and Frank over on How to Get Away with Murder?  Thought their scene last week was pretty hot!

The episode titles for Blindspot are anagrams and that's been more fun to figure out than the show. I agree on the male lead. He is so bland and boring. I wish they'd  let Jane go places with the other two Feds (also so I can learn their names).

He went from bland and wooden to just painfully AWFUL  this week, barking out his lines like he was doing a bad Dark Knight imitation.  What the hell?  I mean before I wanted more life out of him but if this is his version of being more lively?  Please go back to wooden.  I still have some fondness for the rest of the cast.  I think the actress is great, but the scripts haven't been wonderful.  Maybe now that they are incorporating her officially into the team it will get better.

Three weeks in, Limitless is my favorite new show. Laughing at myself? Check. But the pilot was really a dud. I'm just glad I didn't quit right then, because they completely changed the tone to something that's a whole lot more appealing to me now.

The Player has become my only must-see new show, and I'm kind of shocked about that. I almost didn't even bother to watch it after the reviews it got. But yeah, it's not long for this world either. :(

Blindspot I'm watching, but I'm still kind of meh about it. There's things I like about it, but as a whole it's just not clicking for me.

I finally took Blacklist off my watchlist. If I ever get bored enough I'll catch up with it on Netflix, but I couldn't even make myself finish last season, much less get into this one. :(

Sadly with you on the Blacklist.  James Spader is my spirit animal, but I just don't give a damn about the Liz character (even after she got rid of the Season 1 Wig That Must Not Be Named.

This year I'm waiting on Supergirl, and kind of hate watch Quantico.  The Grinder is my only new series that I look forward to.  Lackluster TV season to be sure.

Wednesday is such an amazing TV night for me. First ARROW, then Empire with a Nashville ending. But it really makes my twitter have a split personality and causes way too much emotional roller-coastering.

WHY do I keep seeing American Horror Story commercials with Lady Gaga in them?  Is she an actress now?  Is she the main character in this season of American Horror Story?  So confused.  This is beyond bizarre.

Lady Gaga is one of the main characters.  I guess she's always been an actress, just hasn't done much since the music thing took off.  She's getting glowing reviews.  Yes, it's very weird.  I read that she was a fan and called Ryan Murphy up and asked to be in it and this is what happened.  The show is not my cup of tea at all but I'm very curious of what the reactions from the public will be.

Yeah. I don't really watch AHS (only saw Coven because that was a powerhouse cast) but I've seen the Lady Gaga commercials enough that I got curious and looked up spoilers about Hotel. Apparently, Lady G is playing

the head vampire (maybe, owner?) of the hotel. Think Lady Bathory type.

From what I've read, this season's going to be along the lines of the really disturbing/possibly torture porn type of horror sub-genres which, no thank you. Also, Ryan Murphy thinks Gaga's been doing so well that he's already invited her to star/guest in whatever next story he's planning for AHS.

Lady Gaga didn't show up until after the half hour mark and didn't speak until about 45 minutes in. I guess she did okay for the little lines she had. I think Jessica Lange would've killed it in a similar role. Because you know it would've been toned down a bit for her over what Lady Gaga's is willing to do. Which will probably result in a bunch of torture porn and nudity.

However on the shallow end, I loved seeing Matt Bomer's perfect face. He is so very pretty.

I almost broke down and watched just for Matt, but I just can't watch AHS, not even for him. I'll have to content myself with Jarett Wieselman's gifs of Matt every Wednesday night.

Learning that Matt Bomer is a part of AHS peaked my interest for two seconds, but then I went over to that show's forum and read the comments.  Nope, nope, nope.  Can't do it.  It sounds WORSE than the horror that was the little bit of Nip/Tuck that I watched.  Ryan Murphy's head is full of the stuff nightmares are made of!
