I know with her sisters it's different, but I don't know if she would bother mending things with some of these women if she didn't have to. I think this makes sense. We know Kyle has longtime real girlfriends outside of the HWs and I can't see any reason to mend things with Dorit other than this show. Same with Sutton, etc. 5 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151515-s14e8-a-perfect-storm-out/page/3/#findComment-8562701
Chatty Cake Friday at 11:13 AM Share Friday at 11:13 AM That spa day looked kind of fun. Getting a neck and shoulder massage with food and drink sounds delightful. Of course they had to ruin it. First the stupid comments to the guys working then the ridiculous text conversation. If they wanted to do this they should have had Kyle divulge that PK told her all the nasty things Dorit said about Kyle when she was annoyed with her. 3 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151515-s14e8-a-perfect-storm-out/page/3/#findComment-8562808

Imagine a woman getting ready to provide a service to a group of men, and one of the men says that. Unpopular opinion: The way Jennifer delivered that line made me think she was mocking the women, including herself. It was not delivered in a lustful way. She was saying, “We’re in heat, and it’s kind of pathetic. Sorry!” 6 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151515-s14e8-a-perfect-storm-out/page/3/#findComment-8562820

Makeup can only do so much. I don’t see any wrinkles, sagging, pores, etc. I think she has the prettiest skin of them all actually. Covering up some redness is not a big deal. I do wonder if she had a lower face lift. I vividly remember the reunion post Tom's fraud exposure and she was a bit jowly. Surprisingly so to me. I do think she has decent skin, but yeah those makeup artists are indeed artists. They give her face structure and a very natural lit from within glow and finish that you wouldn't think came from products. 4 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151515-s14e8-a-perfect-storm-out/page/3/#findComment-8562910

Erika is very honest that she’s not against plastic surgery. Erika does have great makeup artists, but all the women have access to great makeup. She’s one of the few housewives in the franchise that has the look of beautiful texture. You can tell she takes great care of her skin imo. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151515-s14e8-a-perfect-storm-out/page/3/#findComment-8562937

These women aren't wonder specimens who aren't aging (they aren't in the movie SHE). I am curious if they ever think how all this facial work will look in 20 years. I think they are going to look very odd. Maybe they should all see therapists to figure out why they are so freaked about aging. In Kyles case, it is also shitty that she has changed her face so drastically. Does that affect how the kids feel about THEIR faces? Similar to Jennifer Aydin's face. NO WHERE near what she was born with and I think her kids look like her old face. 2 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151515-s14e8-a-perfect-storm-out/page/3/#findComment-8563013
Pi237 Friday at 04:42 PM Share Friday at 04:42 PM The ‘in heat’ comment was in bad taste, at the very least. And embarrassing. Not all middle aged+ women are super horny cougars. Stop it! Having said that- Wow, those were some damn Fine-looking men. I’d be blushing like crazy having them massage me. Boz hooked them up Noice. Of course, I would keep those thoughts to myself until the men weren’t in earshot. Jel Friday at 08:27 PM Share Friday at 08:27 PM I would not be surprised to see Lisa Vanderpump this season. I could see a restaurant scene with Dorit walking in, big mystery about who she is meeting, and lo and behold it turns out to be Lisa. Just thinking that Lisa's got a new show to promote, and Kyle's finally getting a bad edit. So maybe, a definite maybe to that. But then I remember that this is Kyle we are dealing with and she master manipulates her way out of everything, and she's played every single one of them, probably including the production team, and they don't even realize it. At times Sutton seems like she's getting it, but then then Kyle re-ups her hex. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151515-s14e8-a-perfect-storm-out/page/3/#findComment-8563208

But what kind of shitty friend/co-worker texts with your husband, about you? Kyle continues to suck. amarante 16 hours ago Share 16 hours ago (edited) This endless kerfuffle about the text is as boring and stupid as Lucy Lucy dog idiocy. Kyle is loathsome but the text is completely innocuous. It wasn't picking sides or asking PK to spill dirt or tell him she would be his "spy". Much ado about completely nothing - and that doesn't exclude Boz either who is acting as if this innocuous text is some kind of smoking gun. On a completely trivial note - the idiocy of giving a 16 year old a new expensive car. My friend's kids went to one of the exclusive private schools in Los Angeles and almost every kid got an expensive new car at 16 and they all had accidents. My friend who could afford a Porsche gave her girls the used Lexus boring sedans and when they had their inevitable accidents it was no big deal. It also sometimes ends in tragedy because fast cars - especially large SUV's can be more difficult to maneuver in terms of safety than boring sedans. Kyle was telling the truth when she said she and Dorit weren't close, close. But she was also telling the truth when she said she loves Dorit and the family. Kyle just prioritizes PK. Dorit knows that, and that's why she shared PK's behavior and her desire to know how deep their communication goes. Instead of acting outraged, all she had to do was share the text. Dassit. Let's see how this unfolds. Kyle can love Dorit's family (her kids), but not Dorit. ETA: it's not unusual, or abnormal. amarante 10 hours ago Share 10 hours ago Brian Moylan does really excellent recaps on vulture.com His book on the housewives' franchises is also interesting for some of the inside operations. As he writes this "fight" is a proxy fight for positioning on the show - it isn't about the text per se - it is about a power struggle which translates into "money" to some extent as well as cast position. Kyle has been a power for many years and the women are trying to take over her alpha dog position to ensure their hierarchy in the cast. FWIW I really am not a "fan" of any them as between Kyle and Dorit I couldn't care less who has power. There are some like Garcelle and Sutton who are less obviously predatory in terms of their machinations. Boz is no innocent as she is stirring the pot. And I am completely not buying the Erika redemption arc. 7 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151515-s14e8-a-perfect-storm-out/page/3/#findComment-8563971

It happens around me too, and I'm in a boring middle class suburb. Many of my kid's friends got brand new cars. Even if I COULD afford to do that, I wouldn't do that. One of my children had an accident in a cheap Honda Civic a day after getting a license that we had just bought a week or so prior (less than 5k). Thankfully, all occupants were fine, but car was totaled and child didn't get another car for over a year until he/she was able to save again and contribute again towards another used car and get more experience (driving my car, sigh). Honestly though, most children I know get into accidents shortly after getting their license (myself included). I feel like there's something going on that we aren't privy to with Kyle and Dorit. I've heard rumors on podcasts that Dorit and PK are faking the divorce, and Kyle isn't sure why Dorit is coming for her so strongly, which is why she keeps saying you're not the Dorit I know (or whatever she said). I honestly wonder if Dorit would have made such an effort getting to know Boz if she was still chummy with Kyle. Maybe? Hard to say, but she's certainly got a strong ally in Boz, who isn't afraid to stand up to Kyle. It's certainly delicious to see Kyle squirming without her foxforce five (is that what it's called?) to protect her. So Erika is living in a pool house that she remodels and then buys a house less than a year later? I'm not sure Dorit would try with Boz so much, but she doesn't have any friends in the group (Erika who is suddenly her friend is not really her friend), and she needs allies to pursue her storyline against Kyle. My sister crashed her first brand new car a year after she got her license. Erika remodeled the rental house as a storyline. What else does she have? 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151515-s14e8-a-perfect-storm-out/page/3/#findComment-8564208
