S14.E14: Quit Your Beachin

It's the season  finale next week, yay!

Ubah really  thinks she's a special  kind of diva, she isn't. Abe knew he was on speaker phone, he could  hear Brynn and Erin.

Brynn, rolling around  on the sand in front of that young lifeguard,  gave me second  hand embarrassment. I'd get rid of Brynn  and Ubah for next season.

I know Raquel  went to talk to Ubah, but  why bother, when you're  going  to let her off so lightly.  The way Ubah called  the beach disgusting,  must have made Raquel  feel awful.

I don't  really  know what happened  after that, I thought  Erin walking  away , was a good thing, apparently  it wasn't.

Ubah had a point about the beach. If I’m on vacation I don’t want to be on a stinky or dirty beach. Raquel is acting like Puerto Rico is so near and dear to her heart but she admitted not going to see her mom in many years. However, Ubah didn’t need to be obnoxious about it.
Brynn laying and flailing on the beach was the grossest most offensive thing I’ve seen in a long time. That lifeguard didn’t want to engage with her at all.
I am so over the pubic hair talk. I wonder if it’s made up or embellished. Jenna seems like the type that would keep her area maintained. Brynn acting like she has an in at Amazon. They deliver to everyone idiot. Her Prime account isn’t better than anyone else’s.
The fake prank to Abe was stupid. Again Ubah overreacted but her meltdown did contain some common sense deep down somewhere. It’s stupid and not at all funny. Brynn thinks she’s a witty sex kitten with her yelling texting dudes and sending nudes.  She’s an actual moron.
The fight at the end was ridiculous but if Ubah is going to go in on Brynn, I am all for it.

I was looking at Ubah with a critical eye once she compared herself to Giselle and Naomi. I don’t think she was all that when wearing her swimsuit. She had cellulite, her proportions seemed off and her legs were not lithe. Perhaps she looked better in her younger years which is why she’s so insecure about things nowadays.
If I was her I’d be more worried about what her boyfriend thinks when she goes off the rails at these ladies and he views it later on tv. I doubt that’s the kind of girlfriend or wife most men would want. Then endless walking on eggshells and being careful not to trigger her would be exhausting. I bet most gentlemen would think she’s too much work.

Or he already knows she's playing a part on a reality show.

It seems as tho she has the emotional IQ of a toddler, throwing tantrums and voicing her opinions about everything no matter how that might make someone feel...her boyfriend should consider what he sees on the screen comes from somewhere inside of Ubah as if that behavior is lurking beneath the surface.

Ubah is a nasty piece of work.  Her behavior can't all be an act or else she deserves an Oscar. That rageaholic diva attitude comes Way too easy for her. "She ruins everything."  No, that's you, angry Buzzkill. I dont know why they try so hard with her.

I did agree with her about the Abe phone call tho. He had a right to know Everyone was listening not just Brynn.  That's a gross thing to do to someone.  And you know Brynn was only encouraging it to have gossip and ammo on Erin. as bowsaks said, she's 100% 'that girl'. Calls everyone boring until they act out and entertain her. Then, tells everyone she knows what you did and laughs at you.

Pubic hair prank was Ick, but also, pretty funny.

Jenna was adorable with how excited she was for synchronized swimming.

I hate when people use being honest as an excuse for being an asshole. Ubah you were an asshole about the beach.

You were unhinged  all around and didn’t even realize Brynn was playing you like a fiddle.

Brynn, girl, I just got same day delivery on my printer ink and have no connection to Jeff Bezos. It works the same for everyone. And, get up off the floor and stop rolling around in front of a teenager. Jeez. You are embarrassing yourself.

I don't know. It's been my experience that crazy women usually don't have any problems getting men interested in them. There's a lot of men out there that are attracted to crazy, just like there's a lot of women who like "bad boys".

I was OK with Ubah last season, but I cannot stand her this year, nor any other people that everyone has to walk on eggshells around or they'll go off. I know these women have to interact with her, but in real life? I make myself scarce around these people whenever I can because it's bullshit that they get to make everyone tense and ruin things because some little thing didn't go their way. My sister is like this, and I stopped contact with her because I was tired of it. And, it seems people like Ubah always get their tantrums indulged. I so hope she's not back. Sai was like this last year, and I didn't like her but she at least came to some self awareness after last season. I really don't think Ubah is capable of that.

That poor little lifeguard. I don't want to drag that child's school teachers into this, but as mandated reporters, are they legally obligated to report their student's child abuse/sexual harassment to the appropriate authorities? That poor kid looked like he was so embarrassed and confused watching this peri-menopausal lady thrashing around in the sand. He probably thought she was having a stroke.

I do agree with Ubah about Abe and the phone call. Yes, Abe knew he was on speakerphone with maybe his wife and Brynn, but not everybody else, and the intention was to embarrass him in some way, so Ubah warned him.

As for Sai, she was criticized on social media and media, and she had the good sense to modify her behavior on tv.

Rude doesn't equate honest as others mentioned. There is a middle ground. Ubah is just rude.

Next week's episode is the season finale episode. Andy Cohen said on Watch What Happens Live yesterday that it will be wild. He constantly tries to hype the show. I'm glad this season will be over.

I liked the Max Mara strapless maxi dress Brynn was wearing at dinner at the restaurant.

Ubah‘s body does not scream “Model!” to me. She’s perfect for Talbots, however.

Her thighs are not the thighs that Naomi wishes she had.

She is delusional. She doesn't look like a model, body and face. She is not exactly attractive. She is just tall. Naomi Campbell is beautiful at 54, and in great shape.

She is arrogant this season because she has a rich, and attractive boyfriend who I'm sure was impressed by the model title, and the reality show.

ETA: Ubah's cousin, Chanel Ayan from the RH of Dubai is far more attractive than her.

I think that Ubah is not getting many modeling gigs for Talbots since she's been doing this show.

I get their brochures in the mail, along with looking at their website frequently, and remember seeing her quite a bit.  Not so much anymore - in fact, I don't recall seeing her in the last few brochures I've gotten, because I've actually looked for her.

She is tall, but she is not the stick-thin body type that we equate with a "model body" (that would be more like Erin, imo).

I wonder if Talbots has backed off from using Ubah because of her appearances on this show and how she is acting on the show.  She does seem to come unhinged quite easily and lashes out quickly and sharply.  Talbots seems pretty conservative, so they may not want Ubah to be representing them anymore, or in a very limited capacity.

The thing that bothered me about this, though, was that Bryn constantly puts down work or careers in this way.  First, with Rebecca and the low comment about Nordstrom Rack, and now with Ubah only modeling for Talbots.  It's like Bryn is so far above shopping or frequenting these places-like she's some kind of generational wealth heiress who's only shopped couture her entire life.  It's all just so intentionally rude and intentionally snooty, from someone who has no business being that way.  From what I can see, Ubah and Rebecca Minkoff have thriving careers outside of the show - what exactly is it that Bryn does?

While Ubah does have an extremely high opinion of herself and her career, Bryn seems to know how to go super low and nasty to those whom she knows will react badly.

This! Brynn is always insulting the work others do, but I don't think its because she thinks she's too good. I think the opposite-she's deeply insecure. She's very sensitive about others accusing her of being a 'kept woman' even though she feeds into that image with all the flirting. (That whole scene with the teenage lifeguard was super embarrassing!)  She's not a girls girl, at all. She reminds me of women who say they get along better with men because women are so petty & jealous (see also: Erika ROBH) When they're the insecure ones, always in competition with other women they feel threatened by.

Having said that, I still like Brynn. I hope she's just playing a role for tv cuz she seems bright and has a good sense of humor. If that lifeguard had been her age or older, her behavior would've come across as playful and funny, not desperate. She has to learn the art of stirring the lot without being so obvious about it. Maybe?

I think your theory is correct. Talbots does seem very conservative. Ubah is really not conducting herself in a way that aligns with the Talbots brand.

Also, I agree: Ubah is tall. That’s about it.

I do wonder how Oliver feels when he enrages her.

There is no reason to attack the businesses, or careers of other women because you are insecure. Modeling is a career with a short duration, and very few older women are offered job opportunities. Rebecca has a successful $100 million business- why make derogatory remarks about it?

I think Brynn, Ubah, Erin, and Jessel are arrogant because they are on a reality show, and they are recognized by fans/have social media followings. Imagine how they would be if the show had better ratings- they are called dismal online (only 281,000 same day viewers for the 6th episode, an almost 1000% drop from the show's heyday, and the worst performance in its history). The show is "unwatchable" according to the viewers. I posted a link below.

That's why the women commented about Jessel having changed this year. Jessel has constant photoshoots, and selfies, and glam, and she dresses over the top for casual occasions (high heels at the beach, and pool, etc.). Her husband left his job to become a food influencer! The rest were already famous, or well known in their professions (Jenna, Rebecca, Racquel, Ubah, Sai, Erin is with the real estate team of Fredrik Eklund of Million Dollar Listing NY, and the luxury firm Douglas Elliman), so it was normal for them to have photoshoots, and glam.

Man, do I hate when I look at a woman with a critical eye and start to tear apart their looks. I find myself doing that with both Ubah and Erin and as much as I try to stop, I continue to do it. As everyone has stated above Ubah’s body is really not all that, I saw rolls in her stomach area and her upper thigh area is on the larger side. She has beady little eyes and chipmunk cheeks, but more than anything, her behaviors and personality make her absolutely awful. And as much as Erin (whose face I find quite mannish and she looks exactly like her dad without makeup…not a compliment) drives me crazy, of course it was insensitive of Ubah to bring up people dying of cancer when Erin is struggling with not just one, but both parents being ill.  Even if Ubah only knew about the mother that’s more than enough to be sensitive and shut up. Her behavior on the beach was awful, have some common sense and realize that Raquel has fond memories of that beach and it is a local beach with local Puerto Ricans. I recently took my dogs for a walk and there was a dead duck at this beautiful pond. Did that mean that the entire pond was horrible and disgusting? No, it did not, it just meant that this unfortunate duck had met it’s demise.

I’ve had enough of Jenna‘s pubic hair discussion, it frankly surprises me that she has really long pubic hair because she seems like she would keep all of that maintained, but regardless, I don’t need to see hair swatches coming out of peoples, bathing suits, etc. these ladies really think they are far funnier than they in fact are.

Just stick a fork in this franchise because it is the opposite of enjoyable, and it took me four attempts to get through this one episode.

The reason we are critical about appearance is because Ubah compared herself to Naomi Campbell for example, claiming she is even better, something that we wouldn't do otherwise.

Yeah, she threw that gauntlet down by acting like (& out right saying) she’s better and more gorgeous than all the other girls.  I’d never criticize anyone’s looks, but it’s much more tempting when they’re a stuck up mean girl like Ubah.

Having said that, Brynn was a bitch for using ‘Talbots model’ as an insult. That was low. And the super models aren’t usually beautiful so much as unique looking, and extremely stick thin. I actually consider catalogue women prettier than the Vogue set. Ubah’s very pretty until she talks.
