I knew there was no way in hell they would let this season be Boston Rob-less.

Or that he wouldn't be a traitor.

Honestly, I'd banish him on reputation alone the first chance I got, because you'd have to be brain dead to think production wouldn't make him a traitor.

So, this is the first Traitors I've ever watched. Wasn't interested in this kind of reality show, but I stumbled across it and saw Bob the Drag Queen and thought, what the hell.

It was interesting enough that I figure I'll watch it if there's someone on that I love. But I'd probably stop watching once that person was gone. I watched my first and last Survivor episode when Jon Lovett was on 47.

But Alan Cumming is killing it as the host. He's having so much fun as an iconic drama queen and I grin from ear to ear at the camp of it all. He almost makes me want to watch it whoever the contestants are, but there just isn't enough of him to get me to commit.

But omg I love him.

3 hours was a lot but it will be easier starting next week. I watched all of last season last season and the last few episodes of Season 1 with Cirie. Right now, they’re are too many people. Then adding 3 more males (way to think outside the box on that one products) made it too much. It’s an interesting game but for the most part the contestants are just making shit up at the round table based on nothing. Although, Efron actually has a brain, is good looking and seems nice enough so that was nice to see. Tom Sandavol looks like a box a rocks. Am I missing something? Woman are into this guy? He looks like he can’t even put a complete sentence together. I don’t see the appeal or the scandal of it all.

See you next week.

I enjoy watching Boston Rob because he is such a good strategist and is always aware that it's a game so he never takes anything personally. I am surprised they chose him as traitor though because it's so obvious. Bob the drag queen is the exact opposite - he seems to think he deserves to win more than anyone else and takes everything personally.

I hope this show get better as it goes along. So far i don't like any of these people especially that blond who was sticking out her tongue like a lizard.  I have never understood why the US version has all reality stars. The Uk and the other versions have some stars but mostly people from everyday walks of life. Much more interesting that these used up reality "stars."

The first US season was half and half and that is just a bad decision imo. The regular people think the reality stars are special and basically play for them.

Personally, I'd like to see the US version alternate seasons with all regular and all stars but they're doing well with stars so they'll likely stick with that.

At a certain point, I googled "How many shows has Boston Rob won?" and Google said it was just that one season of Survivor where he played against the noobs.

The weird thing is that I kind of understand why they admire him -- they're all professional reality show stars, and he is very good at being on reality shows. I'm just not sure that's going to translate into him winning.

I remember when he was on Survivor the one that his now wife Amber won. He promised over and over  to take certain cast members to the final 2. And over and over he stabbed all of them in the back except Amber. It was pathetic to watch all of them hover around him and ask him who he wanted voted out episode after episode.  It was like they could not or would not see what he was doing. I think  his strength is that he will not rule out any tactic to win. It's only after he stabs them in the back that their eyes are opened.

And the season he won….he had this guy as his right hand man…..he got him out around f4, and the guy was so upset he refused to talk to him ever again, even the reunion show.  People forget there is only one winner.  Usually.   This show does allow for multiple winners sharing the final pot.   Last season, there were 2, almost 3.

I love Boston Rob, and ambivalent towards Tony, Carolyn, and Jeremy. If they'd really removed Rob my interest in the season would have gone down a substantial amount (but I still would watch because the show is addicting). I think his Traitor role is just too obvious and I would have rather seen him as a Faithful trying to take traitors out.

I'm simultaneously watching Traitors UK S3 at the same time

Spoiler

which is an interesting experience with similar challenges and twists thus far

but US was my first so I have a soft spot for it.

Carolyn is probably going to be an erratic Traitor, based on her Survivor gameplay. She's smart, but she says what she's thinking and her body language is very revealing.

Bob the Drag Queen is incredibly annoying and full of himself/herself (not sure what pronoun)

I am an infrequent watcher of reality TV, so the vast majority of the contestants are unknown to me. It's almost like I am watching a show with regular people playing. The previous beefs the Survivor and Big Brother players have mean nothing to me.

That being said, the rest of the contestants are utter idiots of they do not immediately vote out Boston Rob as soon as they can.

Except for the height, at first I thought Bob the Drag Queen was reality TV Youtube personaility Funky Dineva.    Funky wouldn't do it but I think he'd be interesting to have on the show.

Looking forward to the new season.   From past shows it seems it's better to start out as a Faithful and if you survive long enough and play a convincing "Faithful game" (because you are Failthful), then get recruited to be a traitor.   Sort of like Alex Duggan of  Season 1's Traitors Australia did.   Of course a huge part of the plan depends on you being selected by the Traitors...LOL. I like now that the final 5 do not have to reveal if they're faithful or traitor when eliminated.   That should make things more interesting and increases the odds for the traitors.

I wasn't going to watch this season because I dislike all-stars/"celebrity" seasons of reality shows... then I realized I only really know one person, Chrishell Stause, from soap operas (never seen her real estate show). I've listened to Bella and Dorinda's Sirius XM shows, and the rest are unknowns to me. So I'll partake!

Also, the visuals, music, and of course, Alan, drew me in right away.

Let's go!

On Traitors Canada they don't reveal the last few players as Traitor or Faithful when they are banished.  It bugs me but I understand why they do it.  The Faithful at the end do not know then if they have all the Traitors out or not.

I started watching Traitors France.  They really trust their players.  They do not blindfold them when they pick the Traitors.  They are just told to close their eyes.  Then when the Traitors have been tapped they tell the Traitors to open their eyes and see the other Traitors at the round table.  They are then all told to open their eyes.  I do not think that would work with this US version.  I know some of the reality stars would cheat and open their eyes.

Watch the UK version, also on Peacock.  It's in the same castle and has many of the same challenges, but it's also way better, IMO.  It took me a while to get used to the host (it's not Alan Cummings), but once I did that I enjoyed it much more than the US version.

With the exception of Survivor, I don't watch any of the other shows, so these people aren't stars to me.  They do think a lot of themselves, though.

The game is already stacked so much in their favor and I hate that so I hate the new rule.

This is the first time I've watched the show and my first impression is that the traitors do seem heavily favored. They have more information than the faithful, they have an automatic alliance, and unless I'm misunderstanding the rules, only a traitor can win the entire $250K+ at the end and if only faithful are left then they have to split the pot. I don't know if I have that part right.

Yes. At minimum, two people are left at the end. That’s either two faithfuls, two traitors or a faithful and a traitor. Only a traitor can be the sole winner. A faithful can never be a sole winner.

Season one, Cirie, who was a traitor, won.  Season 2, CT and Trish, both Faithful, won.  They could have had a final three win but chose to do one more round of eliminations and MJ got cut.

And I think it is worth noting, all three winners were from competitive reality shows.

I think they should have a way for there to be a sole faithful winner at the end. I just finished watching Australia season 1 after my many months of procrastination. The faithful was in an unwinnable situation. There was literally no way for the faithful to come out winning among the final 3.
