Isn't Tiffany Trump a lawyer?

I believe she is, but that would never happen. There is no upside to nominating her. The Republicans in the Senate are going to be thinking about what is good for the party after Trump while Trump only cares about himself. I don't think Trump would have the votes. It would only take a handful of Republicans in the Senate to make Tiffany another Robert Bork which in turn would make a Trump something Donald won't stand, a loser. Eve if that loses is his least favorite child.

Yes I agree.  He seems to favor those most of us would consider elites.  People with money. He should have went after Trump on January 21, 2021.

No, the affluent college-educated left-leaning ones tend to think that. The actual working class [at least the white and male part of it -- the very ones who were once the perceived 'engine' of a socialist revolution] considers the just mentioned as the elite as most people today don't hate the rich, they want to become them.

Look at the 2019 British election where the British Labour party won seats like Kensington but lost seats in former coal-mining areas in the North and Midlands that they'd held since the 1920s.

I don't want to become rich. I don't necessarily hate them but I want them to stop having so much influence. They should not be able to buy politicians.

Chris Christie is saying Mr; Trump will dump Mr. Musk when he needs a scapegoat. I think that tracks.

I wonder if some of Trump's base migrates to Musk. And if Musk finds a new pet.

I read up on the Greenland Ploy and when Trump floated this idea in his last administration Natural Disaster apparently the PM of Denmark said "not gonna happen" and the pouty manchild cancelled a planned visit to that country. So very presidential.

I wish our PM would give him the eff you as well.  He was too nice.

Joe Biden damaged his own legacy by pardoning his son Hunter when he had promised not to do so. Now he has redeemed himself by commuting nearly all federal death sentences. (He cannot pardon or commute sentences under state law).

But Biden has excluded three federal prisoners from his commutation:

* Robert Bowers, the neo-Nazi who killed 11 people at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh in 2018

* Dylann Roof, the white supremacist who killed nine Black parishioners at a South Carolina church in 2015

* Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the Islamist who killed three people in the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013.

I used to be a blanket opponent of the death penalty, but in the age of terrorism I have changed my view: I now think the death penalty should be retained for one crime: "murder committed in the course of an act of terrorism." Terrorists are not criminals in the traditional sense. They are not motivated by greed or personal grievances. They are waging war and should be treated accordingly. Evidently Biden agrees with me.

I know the news is going to focus on the crazy but has Trump said anything positive about any of the US's allies (that aren't right wing verging on fascist)?

Latest Trumpian idiocy is the US is exiting WHO on day one.  He'd leave NATO if he could.  Four years....and thank you again all you Trump voters and the ones who couldn't be arsed to vote.  Thanks so much.

It’s pathetic that an incoming president is only focused on batshit crazy ideas and dangerous agendas but I don’t know why I expected anything different

Apparently a lot of people went for the batshit. I'm hoping that the batshit crazy doesn't spread.

And yet there were still some people, even here, who thought there was a longer game. That there was some plan.

It's always an angry old man screaming at the clouds after being triggered
